Abstract

Abstract- Thuis paper investigates the impact of supply chain integration on organizational performance in Indonesian banking sector. For this purpose the earnings predictability of Islamic banks in Indonesia are examined by investigating earnings volatility and the factors that influence it. In particular: 1) to examine the volatility of Islamic bank earnings; 2) investigate the effect of earnings volatility on the discretion of Islamic bank managers in determining the fair value of credit / financing; and 3) examine the positive effect of the allowance for possible losses on earning assets on the income smoothing of Islamic banks. This research is a quantitative study with the object of Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia with a research period of 2013-2016. The data used in the form of secondary data that is annual BUS report and then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The analysis shows that: 1) There is earnings volatility in Islamic banks after the revision of PSAK 50/55; 2) Earnings volatility does not affect managers' discretion in determining the fair value of financing; 3) Allowance for possible losses on earning assets has no positive effect on the income smoothing of Islamic banks; 4) Self-assessment of corporate governance can reduce the income smoothing of Islamic banks. The results of this study provide significant contributions to managers of Islamic banks, Bank of Indonesia, and Badan Penyusun Standar Akuntansi Keuangan Syariah that revised PSAK 50/55 causes volatility of earnings generated, but in Islamic banks, volatility does not cause manager discretion in determining the fair value of financing, like a conventional bank.

Abstract

The prime objective of the currents study is to explore and describe an innovative supply chain for the Thai manufacturing firms.  The study has examined the direct impact of SC partner innovation, product innovation strategy, organizational innovation climate (OIC) and strategic relationship on the partner innovation performance. In addition to that the mediating role of product innovation strategy in the relationship between SC partner innovation and partner innovation performance is examined. Finally, the study has examined the moderating roe of organizational innovation climate and strategic relationship. The knowledge-based view and the social capital theory are used to develop the conceptual model. This idea has been extended in this research by analyzing the way in which it happens. For instance, it has been argued that there is a need for a suitable internal environment for innovation that can improve the chain of innovation linking innovativeness of partners in the supply chain with innovation strategy of the focal firm. In the next step, the right external climate can be set by establishing a strategic relation with partners in the supply chain to get innovative ideas. Lack of a cooperative environment cannot result in effective knowledge sharing with the partners in the network. This research study is unique in the sense that it complements the innovation chain with climate chain. Additions are made to the current knowledge by this study through the extension of the fact that value chains and SC for understanding the process of innovation chains. It is revealed through PIS that there is a positive influence on the performance of product innovation. There is a need to blend the internal climate for innovation and the external efforts with important suppliers to tap innovative ideas.

Abstract

Abstract-Supply Chain 4.0 - the application of the Internet of Things, the use of advanced robotics, and the application of advanced analytics of big data in supply chain management: place sensors in everything, create networks everywhere, automate anything, and analyze everything to significantly improve performance and customer satisfaction. The Islamic community in East Java is dominated by traditional Islamic community groups. They are the basis of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) organization. This base spreads from all corners of the village to the cities. This study aimed to examine the relationship between resilience, supply chain practices, religion and industrial age 4.0 with mediating effect of culture. Traditional Islamic societies maintain activities that are commonly carried out in NU organizational activities, among others in the form of; manaqiban, diba'an, selametan, and tahlilan that have continued to be carried out since now even though the socio-cultural life of the community has changed. These activities are religious traditions that have survived until now. In fact, this activity has become a kind of habit carried out in government institutions, government and private institutions in the community. Based on the background above, it is interesting to conduct research related to Islamic culture and traditions carried out by a group of traditional Islamic societies in the industrial era 4.0 today. This study aims to understand the understanding of traditional Islamic societies in carrying out and maintaining Islamic traditions in today's modern life. This study uses the social definition paradigm, qualitative approach, and by using descriptive analysis in supply chain strategies. The data analysis strategy uses the method suggested by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana.

Abstract

Increased global warming and industrial pollution have forced manufacturing organizations in Thailand to focus on sustainable practices. Such practices can come from Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which can contribute towards green environment either directly or indirectly. Supply chain integration can also play its role to bring all stakeholders at same page for ensuring green environment production. This study has investigated the impact of internal, customer and supplier sustainable development goals on environmental performance of manufacturing firms in Thailand. Furthermore, intervening role of supply chain integration has also been analyzed in relationship between SDGs and environmental performance. Data has been collected through questionnaire from middle level management of almost 49 manufacturing firms of Thailand which was subsequently analyzed on SPSS and AMOS for screening and path analysis. Results have confirmed the hypothesis that SGDs have significant impact on environmental performance and also flagged significant mediating role of supply chain integration in respective relationship. This research is original due to having a unique variable like supply chain integration and a completely different context of Thailand’s manufacturing sector which was not explored previously. This study will have its contribution in theory, practice and policy along with future research indications.
