Abstract

The study has examined the impact of the innovative capability on the firm performance of Indonesian manufacturing firms  The current study aimed to examine the role of competitive advantage and SCH flexibility as a mediator on the financial performance and intellectual CAP nexus, in the Indonesia?s manufacturing  industry. the response rate for this survey is 59.6%. The results in this study suggest a number of issues which must be addressed by the researchers and managers. Therefore, assessing the third variable is vital to have a meaningful interpretation of the association among study variables. In a study, if a relationship does not take into account the mediating mechanism, then it fails to get complete understanding of the relationship. In addition, failing to consider the effect of a mediator may not have clear explanation of the relationship outcome. Contrarily, a model which considers the mediating mechanism is likely to estimate accurate relationship among variables under study. Therefore, in order to reach to the legitimate conclusions and decisions, the practitioners and scholars must consider the significance of competitive advantage on performance and intellectual  capital (CAP) nexus. Hence, results might facilitate the management for taking initiatives to develop acceptance and greater understanding of the intellectual CAP, thereby boosting organizations? performance as well as their competitive position.

Abstract

Abstract— This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the model of integrating local cultural values in science learning in elementary school based on the supply chain strategy. The design of this study includes four stages, namely: (1) preliminary study; (2) design of learning models; (3) developing of learning models; and (4) validating the models in the science learning process in supply chain. In this study, step (3) and step (4) are carried out, while steps (1) and steps (2) have been implemented in the previous year. This research was carried out in several elementary schools: (1) in Dendang Belitung Timur District, Bangka Belitung; and (2) in Kediri Tabanan District, Bali. A total of 21 elementary school teachers and more than 300 elementary school students were included in this study. The results of this study, it can be seen that there is an increase in the ability of elementary school teachers to design and implement science learning by integrating local cultural values in science learning in the classroom. From the results of statistical tests, it is seen that there is an increase in student learning outcomes before and after the learning process takes place. In addition, most students appear to be actively participating and look happy during the learning process because the science content they learn is associated with local cultural values in their surroundings. The learning process like this makes it fun not only for elementary school teachers who teach but also makes students are happy in learning science.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to examine the effect of intellectual capital, debt policy, company size, supply chain and liquidity on earnings per share and dividends per share as intervening variables in companies registered in the LQ 45 stock market index that consists of 45 companies for the 2014-2016 period in Indonesia. Using a purposive sampling method obtained data (panels) of 60 observation data from 20 companies. Multiple regression analysis is used to analyze two models. Model 1 analyzes the influence of intellectual capital, debt policy, company size and liquidity on dividends per share and model 2 analyzes the effect of intellectual capital, debt policy, company size and liquidity on supply chain and consequently earnings per share by including dividend per share as an interprening variable. The first Analysis regression Model 1 found that supply chain, human capital efficiency, debt policy, company size, and liquidity, statistically significant affected dividend policy, other variables did not influence. The second analysis regression of Model 2  based on the operational mamnagement (through variable intervening) found that only dividends per share were statistically significantly affecting earnings per share (EPS). In model 1 the adjusted R square value is very low, this means that the independent variable cannot explain changes in the dependent variable whereas in model 2 it is very high, this means that the independent variable is able to explain changes in the dependent variable.

Abstract

People are evaluating suppliers due to their responsibility which requires the need of a structured process for supplier evaluation. In this paper we used a new model for weighting of criterias and ranking the alternatives. This model is the combination of SWARA (Stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis) and FVIKOR (VlseKriter ijumskaOptimizacija I KompromisnoResenje) methods which evaluate the main criterias based on evaluation of factors that have major impacts on quality of suppliers, and selects the best suppliers according to the criterias. SWARA method is used in determining the weights of the criteria by decision makers and then rankings of the suppliers were determined by Fuzzy VIKOR method. The proposed method in this study is used for ranking the three suppliers of ABZARSAZI in Iran by five indexes that have major impacts on it. For this purpose, in this paper, designed questionnaires are sent to 20 professional experts in different departments of ABZARSAZI COMPANY in Iran for evaluating the criterias using SWARA. The result showed that Delivery is the most important criterias. Such, the results of FVIKOR technique showed that supplier 1 is the best supplier. This proposed approach gives an evaluation method for all of the companies in order to help managers to identify the best suppliers.

Abstract

The paper considers the issue of operational risk management in Russian commercial banks. The correlation and regression analysis also revealed the dependence of the operational risk level on liquidity risks (current and long-term liquidity ratios) and crediting risks (the amount of overdue debt, the aggregate risk for bank insiders, and reserves for possible losses on loans and equivalent debt). It has been proved that with the growth of current and long-term liquidity ratios, overdue debts and reserves for possible losses on a loan, loan debt and its equivalent ratios, the operational risks of credit organizations in Russia grow, whereas with an increase in the aggregate risk for bank insiders (H10.1), the level of operational risks of the banking sector is reduced. The values of operational risk in the banking sector of the Russian Federation are predicted on the basis of the scenario approach for 2019-2020. As part of the pessimistic and moderate growth scenario, an increase in the level of operational risks is predicted, which makes it necessary to implement new approaches to managing this type of risk in credit institutions and introduce new methods of managing operational risk by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Abstract

The Internet and access to numerous modern technological tools make it easier for modern enterprises to operate on the market, yet create ever more difficult conditions for being competitive. Competition is increasing very fast - it is currently at a mouse-click; the amount of time taken to make decisions is dramatically shrinking, enterprises' advertising and promotional campaigns are less and less effective, and the costs of attracting and retaining customers are rising. As customers' loyalty is decreasing and their awareness and expectations are increasing fast, it seems that the right solution for enterprises is to focus on building long-term relations with their customers. Such a possibility is offered by the concept of Social Customer Relationship Management (SCRM), which enables companies to develop two-way communication with customers through social media. In order to develop communication, enterprises need to find out as much as possible about their current/future interlocutor, i.e. their potential customer. There is extensive knowledge about the expectations and characteristics of social media activity of representatives of Silent Generation, the Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y/Millennials. In contrast, Generation Z, i.e. people born in 1995 or later, who are currently entering the labour market, is the least explored generation. This group differs significantly from the representatives of the previous generations, which may be due to the fact that its representatives were born into the digital world and do not know other reality. The aim of the paper is to indicate the characteristics of social media activity of representatives of generation Z as a basis for building relations and gaining advantages by enterprises. This aim has been achieved by presenting part of the findings of a study conducted among students of the Management Faculty of the Czestochowa University of Technology in the third quarter of 2018.
