<![CDATA[One of the tasks of developing into adulthood is to work to meet the needs of his life. Technological advances, materialism, hedonism and the demands of the post-industrial societys needs make some people work brutally for what they want to be fulfilled. Even people are apathetic to the surrounding environment. Nevertheless, there are still a handful of employees who care about their environmental conditions by behaving altruism as happened in PT.Tribuana Mas (TBM). The purpose of this study is to describe employee altruism behavior and explore the factors that encourage employees to behave altruism. The results of the research on 3 employees of PT.Tribuana Mas plantation, Afdeling Juliet conducted qualitatively (nonparticipant observation and in-depth interview), altruism behavioral components are mostly the same, that is behaving helpfully, considering the rights and welfare of others, sharing and honesty. While the different components are seen from the behavior of donating & generosity and Cooperation. Components of altruism behavior reflected on the employees are also in accordance with the teachings of Islam, the namely charity with the foundation of god (ikhlas) and there are still nuanced humanity. <![CDATA[This paper compared the tought of al-Asma al-Husna by H. Husin Qader and H.M. Zurkani Jahja. There are differences in the tought of the two figures in the delivery of the words of al-Asma al-Husna written in their work. H. Husin Qaderi in his book âSenjata Mukminâ (the Faithfulâs weapon) and H.M. Zurkani Jahja in his book â99 jalan menuju Tuhanâ (99 ways of finding the God). The findings of this study is H. Husin Qaderi thought about al-Asma al-Husna that shows Godâs action is the dominant to the practical prayer with âzikirâ, it is appropriate approach to Sufism that he had as well as the community needs are preaching at that time. H. M. Zurkani Jahja told about al-Asma al-Husna that shows Godâs action is the dominant to the moral and spiritual implications, the Sufism approach that he used in accordance with al-Ghazali in his âal-Maqsâd. Zurkani used simple and easy explanation, it is because he wrote al-Asma al-Husna in a tabloid then booked, his expectation was the people to behave like the personality of God limited his ability. There are differences of tought about al-Asma al-Husna showing the actions of God according to both of them, their difference lies in the Godâs blessings on His servants. Qaderi more closed, while Zurkani seems more open to Godâs faithful servant and vice versa to get Godâs blessings.]]>

<![CDATA[This paper is a study in mapping out more about the process of formation of the Muslim community in Indonesia. History is a reconstruct of the past. It seems as if the past was to be away from the present. Is it true that this view. We borrow the Kuntowijoyoâs words: âHistorians are like people take who takes the train to look back, and he can freely turn to the right and to the left, which can not be done is to look aheadâ. History is a valuable clue, a picture of the past that can be used as guidelines in stride, present and future. The Indonesian Islam history has significance for this nation generation. <![CDATA[Initially Islamic Psychology studies and development made many Muslim scholars were spellbound by western psychology theories. They used them as a tool to analyze all sorts of phenomenon Muslim society and give the solution. It is important to remember that the Islamic Psychology concept should be built by the Muslim psychologists their selves. However, the western psychology concept is not necessarily suitable with the needs and purposes in Islam area. Because of that, the writer is interested to discuss the Islamic Psychology Methodology. Hopefully, Islamic Psychology can be an alternative way to solve Muslim society psychological problem especially and all of human being in generally. There were three approaches used by classic Muslim scholars to discuss psychic problem. They are skriptualis approach, falsafi/philosophy approach, and tasawwufi/Sufism approach. They are two studies in Islamic Psychology research; they are the theory and the method. Islam puts wahyu (divine revelation) as a religion paradigm which admits the existence of Allah in belief or in the implementation in the construction of science. Acsiologically, Islamic Psychology is built up to get the prosperity for human being. In epistemology, there is a relationship (nisbah) between mind and intuition. In ontology, it is for understanding human being as sunnatullah. Thus, al-Qurâan is the main source. Both of positivism and rationalism ideologies have different perspectives in finding the truth. Positivism believes that there is only one sensory truth. It could be observed and approved by anyone. In other side, Rationalism admits three truths. They are imperi-sensual truth, imperi-logic truth, and imperi-ethic. Both of the ideologies do not admit metaphysical and transcendental matters. As the result, the Islamic Psychology research will come true. Finally, to build up an Islamic Psychology as a branch of science, we still have so many things to do.]]>

<![CDATA[It is important to deepen Akhlak teachings through seeing a figure of Ulama, who has a high integrity between knowledge and akhlak. Syekh Umar Ahmad Baradja is an Ulama who has a good character and he was very productive to make a lot of wiritings. Some of them are seperti Al-Akhlaq Lil Banin, kitab Al-Akhlaq Lil Banat, kitab Sullam Fiqih, kitab 17 Jauharah, dan kitab Adâiyah Ramadhan. All of them were written in Arabic language, since 1950 were used as a main book in almost Islamic boarding school curriculumin Indonesia. He carved Indonesian Santriâs character indirectly by his books. These books (Al-Akhlaq Lil Banin and kitab Al-Akhlaq Lil Banat) are as references for teachers in giving students external and internal education to control their attitude and behavior in daily life. Especially, when they are in public society and worship. The special things in his books are they made guidance about character (Akhlak) in two versions. One version is for boys and the other is for girls. The versions were made according to the needs of boys and girls to create a perfect character (Akhlak al-Karimah) to Allah and His creations. In the book also provided about some duâa (prayer text) and good actions, which had exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) based on Qurâan and Sunnah. Syekh Umar Ahmad Baradja had told that before we come into mystical world or spiritual, we should learn about Akhlak teachings comprehensively. Likewise, who does good actions in this world, he will get matchless happiness. There is a harmony relationship between theservant and his God. It is the meaning of ethics in Sufism performance. We can take the model from the fabulous figure, who was able to relieve someoneâs thirst in his heart and gave a light to the way to Allah. ]]>

<![CDATA[Sufism is a pure consciousness that is able to direct the humanâs soul to be good one and has a noble attitude and one of the most things in determining of a personâs behavior is the oneâs own desires. Lust basically should not be turned off, but it must be controlled and directed to conduct an appreciable act. In order to make the soul has such a feeling, it takes hard efforts to turn the nature on that Allah swt has given since he was still in the spiritual realm. In character development, the people in Sufism said that there are stages that must be passed are tathahhur, tahaqquq and takhalluq, or in other terms with similar meaning, namely takhalli, tahalli, and tajalli.]]>

<![CDATA[Studentsâ pressures while working on their undergraduate thesis caused psychological impact called stress. The researcher was intended to find out whether any roles of the Quran as a guideline for Muslims reducing the stress level. It is a field research with a quantitative experimental approach which used two groups(pre-test- post-test) design with two variables: training of meaning and reading verses of the Quran (X) and stress level (Y). The subjects were 12 students divided into 6 students in each of experimental and control group. The experimental group used paired samples t-test and got a p-value of 0,035, p <0,05 means there was a difference of scores between pretest and post-test. The control group obtained a p-value of 0.849, p <0.05 means there was no difference in scores between pretest and post-test. Based on the results of different test analysis using independent samples t-test obtained the p-value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.01 showed that there is a significant difference in stress level between the two groups. The results indicate that the training of meaning and reading of Quranic verses can reduce the stress level of students who are working on an undergraduate thesis in the Islamic Psychology Study Program of the State Islamic University of Antasari Banjarmasin.]]>

<![CDATA[Indonesia is a country with the worldâs third largest population; about 90 percent of the population is Muslims. The history of the Islam in this country can be traced back to descendants of the prophet Muhammad. They played an important role in disseminating Islamic teachings in the archipelago. Until now descandants of the prophet still engage in Islamic preaching activities, understanding the legacy of the prophet from historical perspective is instructive, for that will help clarify the making of Muslim civilition in the archipelago. The prophet sent his companions to the area now known as Indonesia. His predecesors continued this tradition of sending companions in preaching missions nost notably in the time Utsman ibn Affan. The Islamic spiritual link with Indonesia was concrete: one preserved clothing of the prophet and a flag used in one of this own battles were given to the Sultan of Banten as gifts. Indeed, the community of Islamic believers shares the legacy of the prophet regardless of their orgins. Most prominently among them have been the Islamic preachers and Muslim warriors.]]>

<![CDATA[Along with the times, study the Koran and Hadith experiencing developments study area, from the study of texts to the socio-cultural studies, which is then referred to as âliving Koranâ and âliving traditionâ. In addition, living study the Koran that not only the existence of textual, but a social phenomenon that was born linked to the presence of the Koran in a specific geographic region and specific future anyway. However, the phenomenon appears not always directly proportional to what is supposed to be practiced and in amalkan. Seeing this phenomenon the author tries to do more research about reading (practice) of the Koran in public District of Lucky New Banjar Regency, the authors wanted to uncover the sura and verse what is used as a bidder, healer or medicine that mamampu cure physically and mental reserved for pregnant women. Any problems with the formulation of sura and verse of the Koran that used pregnant women, and then what are the factors that affect pregnant women mengamlkan suras and verses of the Koran in the District of New Lucky Banjar district.]]>

<![CDATA[It is normal that human beings fear death, even though everybody knows that, one day, he or she will die. Death is scary because one does not know wat will happen after death. A person who feels happy in this life will also fear death because he/she will leave the happy life. Komaruddin Hidayat, in his popular book, Psikologi Kematian, tries to discuss this problem. He suggests that in order to face death calmly, one has to know what death is, and what will happen to him/her in the life after death. He also maintains that, abstention from worldly pleasures may help one to be ready to face death. Above all, for him, the most important thing to do is to find the meaning of life.]]>
