Abstract

Etnis Dayak dan Banjar pada awalnya berasal dari rumpun etnik yang sama. Namun kemudian diidentifikasi secara berbeda tidak hanya melalui etnisitas, tetapi juga agama mereka. Dayak identik dengan Kaharingan sebagai agama asli mereka, sementara Banjar identik dengan Islam sebagai agama yang baru mulai dianut sejak didirikannya Kesultanan Islam Banjar oleh Pangeran Samudera. Semenjak itu, perbedaan identitas ini direspon oleh orang Dayak melalui mitos atau folklore. Mitos-mitos ini, berdasarkan riset lapangan yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis artikel ini, dipahami sebagai seperangkat simbol yang mengungkapkan tipologi relasi orang Dayak dengan Banjar. Paling tidak, ada empat tipologi relasi yang terungkap di sini, yakni: relasi geneologis, analogis, kooperatif, dan historis. Berbagai tipologi relasi inilah juga yang akhirnya menjadi dasar munculnya bentuk-bentuk sinkritisisme budaya di antara keduanya, Dayak-Banjar.

Abstract

The story of the involving women in knowledge and Islamic education tradition is still the grey story. Nothing much to know about the subject. In Malay-Indonesia area, the struggle of women to have an acces in education, as some experts, started in the end of 19th century or in the beginning of 20th century, marked by the presence of women figures such as Kartini, Dewi Sartika, and rahman el-Yunusiah. This writing tries to submit another woman figure earlier than Kartini and her generations that is Fathimah binti Abdul Wahab Bugis.

Abstract

The learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Madrasah is often considered minimum. Holistic curriculum is believed to be relevant and can be an alternative solution to overcome the problem of learning school in relation to the improvement of learning outcomes. Holistic curriculum model is based on the perennial philosophy. It is a school that sees education as a cultural heredity / a whole, integrated, and relevant discipline which presents the related, connected and intact teaching materials. The implementation process uses an active and cooperativeapproach which integrates learning with logical thinking, intuition, emotion and directexperience. By using classroom action research procedure, this model was implemented to find a model that is relevant to the characteristics of PAI at MTs. The experimental research was also carried out to look at the effectiveness of the curriculum used. The results showed thatthe experimental group gained greater learning outcomes (high category), than the control class. The students activity inlearning process of the experimental class also showed higher level of participation than the control class.

Abstract

The development of tariqat in Indonesia is historically and sociologically related to the climate and culture of the people who in the past was formed by rural culture. However, in recent developments, in South Kalimantan for example, the assumption is very different. Although, this tariqat is usually described as traditional, backward, and associated with the countryside, it is not entirely true. With its tradisional nature, the tariqat become attractions for scholars. Those with rational thingkings entering this world with diverse motivations. There are two complementary sides. On the one hand, rational intellectuals/scholars enter into the tariqat and give a new baseline. On the other hand, the members of the tariqat also renew themselves. Motivations that drive the interest to this tariqat are doctrinal, rational, moral, and psychological. This motivation does not stand alone; it is intertwined and supports each other, in the internalization of the tariqat into the consciousness of the individual.

Abstract

There is no doubt that islamization of Nusantara can not be separated from significant role of sufism. The term "wals" in Indonesia, for example, refers to preachers or spreaders of Islam in the earlies periods of its history, and with same meaning the "datu" in South Kalimantan, such as Datu Kelampayan (attributed to the prominent Islamic leader, 'lim, Muhammad Arsyad al-Banjr). Based on this historical background, it is not strange that sufi orders developed rapidly in South Kalimantan. According to the scientific researches conducted, in South Kalimantan found Junaidiyyah, Naqsabandiyyah, Naqsabandiyyah-Khalidiyyah, Qadiriyyah-Naqsabandiyyah, Alawiyyah, Sammniyyah, and Tijniyyah. This article is discussion on the three latter orders; some of them took root in ulama's networks in middle east, but the others in Java

Abstract

This paper explores the survavility of Pondok Pesantren Ibnul Amin as the traditional education building. Pesantren Ibnul Amin is the third oldest pesantren pesantren South Borneo that grew as the big traditional pesantren for his quantity of pupil and his popularity in Borneo. Pesantren Ibnul Amin did the traditional education system with the curriculum that refere to Sorogan, Bandongan, and Wetonan method. Even though, Pesantren didnt do the renewing by the adaptation of modern education system, but the Pesantren devoleped the economic and vocational system. This effort made the role of Pesantren Ibnul Amin wider in transforming the Islamic traditional value practically to his students.

Abstract

Although Sufism is not a central theme of Nurcholish Madjid works, thisarticle will discuss aspects of Sufism in Nurcholish Madjids point of viewbecause his ideas of renewal which is loaded with depth of knowledge,modernity and humanity, show an appreciative attitude towards Sufism. Thisdiscussion found that Nurcholish Madjid notice the essence of diversity inSufism such as taqarrub, the meaning of worship, akhlak al-karimah (gooddeed), and actively involved in social life. Those points are very relevant toreligious life now and in the future.

Abstract

In the Islamic discourse, the study of hadith is in demand today. This is because the function of hadith is as a source of Islamic teachings which is a necessity in human life in all circumstances and conditions. Therefore, the proper method of understanding hadith through comprehensive approach both textual and contextual is required. The study of hadith also needs methodology enlightenment and paradigm shift. In this case, modification and adaptation of information and methodology elements by a discipline from other disciplines is a natural thing. This integration of various diciplines is then known as interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach. Abstract

Musyawaratutthalibin didirikan pada saat rakyat Indonesia sedang berada dalam belenggu penjajahan kolonial Belanda.Sebagai rakyat jajahan penduduk Indonesia memikul berbagai beban berat dari pemerintah kolonial. Mereka hampir tidak mempunyai kesempatan untuk mengerjakan tanahnya dengan bebas dan baik. Dalam lapangan ekonomi, khususnya di bidang perdagangan, pemerintah Belanda berusaha menguras kekayaan alam dan memperalat bangsa asing lainnya terutama Cina.Perbedaan warna kulit atau asal kebangsaan menentukan status sosial penduduk. Susunan masyarakat feodal ikut memberikan keleluasan dalam penerapan sistem ini. Dalam bidang pendidikan, rakyat Indonesia sangat jauh terbelakang.Musyawaratutthalibin memiliki beberapa ciri khas, antara lain koperatif, moderat, modern, dan pembaharu. Walaupun dalam faham keagamaan Musyawaratutthalibin lebih cocok dengan kaum tuha, tetapi dalam penampilan di bidang umum lainnya, organisasi ini terkesan bercorak modern. Guru-guru dan pengurus di berbagai cabang tampil dengan pakaian pantolan, pakai jas dan dasi. Para penggerak organisasi ini juga menggiatkan olahraga seperti sepak bola, bulu tangkis dan pancak silat untuk menarik para pemuda.

Abstract

Artikel ini meneliti tiga figur ulama kharismatik masa kini yang ada di Kalimantan Selatan. Figur yang diangkat dalam tulisan ini, yaitu K. H. Muhammad Bachieth (Guru Bachieth); K. H. Asmuni (Guru Danau) dan K. H. Ahmad Zuhdiannor (Guru Zuhdi). Ketiga ulama Banjar yang dibahas menunjukkan ciri-ciri seorang tokoh kharismatik berdasarkan teori kharisma dalam sosiologi. Mereka adalah tokoh-tokoh yang memiliki keistimewaan, dan tampil di saat krisis, baik krisis sosial yang tengah terjadi, ataupun krisis kepemimpinan ulama. Masing-masing tokoh memiliki pesona, yang mampu memukau ribuan khalayak yang setia mendengarkan ceramah-ceramahnya. Ia seolah memiliki kekuatan magnetik, yang menyerap orang-orang di sekelilingnya untuk medekat. Meskipun sama-sama memiliki kharisma, masing-masing tokoh memiliki keunikannya sendiri-sendiri. Latarbelakang sejarah intelektual mereka memang tidak sama, meskipun secara garis besar masih berada dalam jalur keulamaan tradisional. Mereka juga menjadi tokoh di wilayah yang berbeda, dengan jemaah yang berbeda pula
