Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know whether there is a significant effectiveness of using Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid at the eighth grade students of Ponpes Al-Mukhtariyyah Sungai Dua Portibi. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 42 students as the sample and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique from 128 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using TPS learning model was 3,33 (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid before using TPS learning model was 61.65 (enough category) and after using TPS learning model was 79.66 (good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 20),the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means, there is a significant effectiveness of using Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid at the eighth grade students of Ponpes Al-Mukhtariyyah Sungai Dua Portibi. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using problem based learning (PBL) model reviewed from students’ critical thinking ability on the topic two- variable linier equation system at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Batang Angkola. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 34 students as the sample and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique from 135 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using PBL model was 2.94 (good category) and (b) the average of students’ system of two-variable linear equation system achievement before using PBL model was 50 (fair category) and after using PBL model was 91.51 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest (SPSS 22) and N-Gain, the result showed significant value was less than 0.05(0.000<0.05) and g=0.83 (high category). It means, PBL model was very effective used reviewed from students’ critical thinking ability on the topic two- variable linier equation system at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Batang Angkola. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan efektivitas penggunaan model pembelajaran konstruktivisme terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa pada siswa kelas sepuluh jurusan IPS SMA Negeri 1 Angkola. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode eksperimen (one group pretest post test design) dengan 20 siswa sebagai sample dan mereka diambil dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Observasi dan tes digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif, ditemukan: (a) rata-rata menggunakan model pembelajaran konstruktivisme adalah 3,33 (kategori sangat baik) dan (b) rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran konstruktivisme adalah 53,3 (kategori kurang) dan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran konstruktivisme adalah 82,6 (kategori sangat baik). Selanjutnya, berdasarkan statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan pair sample ttest, (SPSS versi 26), hasilnya menunjukkan nilai signifikan kurang dari 0,05 (0,000 <0,05). Artinya, model pembelajaran konstruktivisme efektif digunakan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada siswa kelas X jurusan IPS SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Timur. Abstract

Abstract The aimof this studyis to know whether the use of quantum teaching is effective on students’ mathematical problem solving ability at the second Patayat Pondok Pesantren Musthafawiyah Purba Baru. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 48 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using quantum teaching was 3.5 (good category) and (b) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability before using quantum teaching was 46.62 ( fair category) and after using quantum teaching was 78.74 (good category). Furthermore, by using pair sample ttest(SPSS 22), the result showed the significant value was less than 0.005 (0.000<0.005).It means,the use of quantum teaching is effective on students’ mathematical problem solving ability at the second Patayat Pondok Pesantren Musthafawiyah Purba Baru

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif script berbantuan geogebra dan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan representasi dan disposisi matematika siswa SMP N 3 Tampaksiring. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini menggunakan disain The statistic Group Postest only design yang melibatkan 306 siswa. Dengan teknik cluster random sampling dipilih 2 kelas sebagai sampel kemudian dilakukan pengudian untuk terpilih kelas eksperimen I dan kelas eksperimen II. Intervensi pada kelompok eksperimen I adalah pengajaran dengan pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif script berbantuan geogebra dan pada kelas eksperimen II dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah serta dilaksanakan dalam 8 pertemuan. Data kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan tes esai dan data disposisi dikumpulkan dengan angket. Selanjutnya, data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan uji MANOVA dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan representasi dan disposisi matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif script berbantuan geogebra secara signifikan lebih baik daripada siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran model berbasis masalah. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif script berbantuan geogebra dan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan representasi dan disposisi matematika siswa SMP N 3 Tampaksiring

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) Apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa melalui pendekatan realistik dengan pendekatan Inkuiri di SMP Negeri 5 Medan?, 2) Apakah terdapat perbedaan disposisi siswa melalui pendekatan realistik dengan pendekatan Inkuiri di SMP Negeri 5 Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian semi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini siswa SMP Negeri 5 Medan. Sampel yang diambil adalah sebanyak 2 kelas dari seluruh kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Medan. 1 kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 (VII-1) yaitu kelas yang diajar dengan pendekatan realistik, dan 1 lagi merupakan kelas eksperimen 2 (VII-2) yaitu kelas yang diajar dengan pendekatan inkuiri. Desain Penelitian ini mengambil dua kelas paralel secara acak yang representatif dari populasi dengan menerapkan pembelajaran yang berbeda. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman dengan model pembelajaran berbeda. Hasil analisis covarians (ANACOVA) untuk Fhitung adalah 16,348 lebih besar dari Ftabel adalah 4,01 dan konstanta regresi untuk pembelajaran yang di ajarkan pendekatan realistik adalah 26,607 lebih besar dari pembelajaran yang di ajarkan pendekatan inkuiri yaitu 19,898. Terdapat perbedaan disposisi siswa yang diajar melalui pendekatan realistik dengan siswa yang diajar melalui pendekatan inkuiri. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil uji Mann-Wahitney skala disposisi siswa dengan nilai min untuk tes awal kelompok eksperimen 1 dan eksperimen 2 yaitu 31,37 dan 29,63 dan min untuk tes akhir kelompok eksperimen 1 dan eksperimen 2 yaitu 35,83 dan 25,17.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the effectiveness of using reciprocal teaching on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the material system of two-variable linear equations at the eighth grade students of Mts. Al-Mukhtariyah Sungai Dua Portibi. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 30 students as the sample and they were taken by using random sampling technique from 134 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using reciprocal teaching was 2.87 (good category) and (b) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the material system of two-variable linear equations before using reciprocal teaching was 65.25 (enough category) and after using reciprocal teaching was 85.7 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 16), the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means, using reciprocal teaching was effective used on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the material system of two-variable linear equations at the eighth grade students of Mts. Almukhtariyah Sungai Dua Portibi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan penggunaan model pembelajaran time token terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan topik sistem persamaan linear dua variabel pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode eksperimental (one group pretest post test design) dengan 27 siswa sebagai sampel dan mereka diambi ldengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dari 169 siswa. Observasi dan tes digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif, ditemukan: (a) rata-rata menggunakan model pembelajaran time token adalah 2,87 (kategori baik) dan (b) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan topic sistem persamaan linear dua variabel sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran time token adalah 52.48 (kategori sedang) dan setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran time token adalah 81,25 (kategori sangat baik). Selanjutnya, berdasarkan statistic inferensial dengan menggunakan pair sample ttest, (SPSS versi 22) dan formulasi N-gain, hasilnya menunjukkan nilai signifikan kurang dari 0,05 (0.000 <0.05) dan g = 0.75 (tinggi). Artinya, menggunakan model pembelajaran time token sangat efektif digunakan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dengan topik sistem persamaan linier dua variabel pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know whether using course review learning model was effective on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of twovariables linear equation system at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 28 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique from 259 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found: (a) the average of using course review learning model was 3.8 (very good category) and (b) students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic twovariables linear equation system before using course review learning model was 55.64 (fair category) and after using course review learning model was 81.00 (very good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 17),the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.049 < 0.05). It means,course review learning model was effective used on students’mathematical problem solving ability on the topic twovariables linear equation system at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

The purpose and formulation of the problem of this study is to determine whether there is an influence of motivation, interest in learning, and the environment on students' mathematics learning achievement. This research method is quantitative descriptive research. The sample in this study was 87 students drawn from the total population of data and can represent the entire population with the Slovin formula. The results of this study were tested with multiple correlation tests resulting inF a value calculated of 87.469 at sig level 0.000, which means significant. From the list of F distributions with the numerator dk 1 and the denominator dk (n-4) = 83 at the real level α = 0.05 obtained F table = 4.04. then concluded that there is a significant influence with the provisions of the F value calculated > Ftable = 87.469> 4.04. By being obtained like that, the researcher concludes that a student's achievement is very influential on his interest in learning, his motivation to learn must also be enthusiastic. Apart from these two factors student achievement is also a very big influence on the environment in which a student is located
