Abstract

Indonesian Government nowadays is focusing to develop the tourism sector area while some problems in companies in sectors of restaurant, hotel and touris, related to institutional ownership, managerial ownership, leverage, and the company profitability. This research then is aimed at analyzing the effect of institutional ownership and managerial ownership on the leverage, at analyzing the effect of institutional ownership and managerial ownership on the profitability, at analyzing the effect of leverage on the profitability, at analyzing the effect of institutional ownership on the profitability through leverage, at analyzing the effect of managerial ownership on the profitability through leverage. This research employed the path analysis. The research showed that institutional ownership have positive and significant effect on the leverage, the managerial ownership has negative and significant effect on leverage, institutional ownership have negative and significant effect on the profitability, managerial ownership has positive and significant effect on the profitability, leverage has negative and significant effect on the profitability, institutional ownership has negative and significant effect on the profitability through leverage, managerial ownership has positive dan significant effect on the profitability through leverage.Keywords : Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, Leverage and Profitability

Abstract

            This research is aimed at analyzing health human resources in health centers by calculating the work load, need number and competence of each unit and category of health human resourcesof health centers and the need of the development in West Lombok. This research is descriptive study with quantitative and qualitative approach. Quantitative data are analyzed with Workload Indicators of Staffing Needs (WISN). Qualitative data are analyzed with Miles and Huberman through the analysis of organization, work, and personal needs. The sample of health center and informants were selected through purposive sampling method. The selected samples are Gunung Sari Health Center and Meninting Health Center. All 168 health staffs are respondents and 10 of which are the informants of this research. The data were collected through documentation, questionnaires, in-depth interview, and focus group discussion (FGD). The reseach showed that 8 work units and 8 categories of health staff in Gunung Sari Health Center and 7 work units and 7 categories of health staff in Meninting Health Center have the high ratio of work load (WISN ratio <1). Low work load ratio (WISN ratio >1) are in 4 categories of health staff in Gunung Sari Health Center and 1 unit and 4 categories of health staff in Meninting Health Center. Gunung Sari Health Center needs 114 staffs, and only 98 are alvailable, so it need 16 more additional staffs. Meninting Health Center needs 87 staffs, and only 70 are alvailable, so it need 17 more additional staffs. The analysis of human resource development showed that nurses need to be upgraded into Diploma III, training for emergency action, diagnostic test to support doctor. Management training is needed by trasurer and good procurement staff. Training of service administration is needed by all staffs of health center. This research recommend that health center make planning for staff recruitment, inter-unit rotation, and health human resources development as recommended by WISN analysis and health center development need in West Lombok. Keywords: workload, WISN, health human resources development need, health center

Abstract

This research is aimed at determining the effect of return on assets (ROA) on the price of share with dividend payout ratio (DPR) and debt to equity ratio (DER) as the moderating variabel in manufacture companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (ISE) in 2012-2015.The population of this research are manufacture companies listed in Indonesia stock Exchange (ISE) in 2012-2015. The samples are 10 manufacture companies selected through purposive sampling. The data were collected through documentation. The data were examined using Moderated Regretion Analysis with SPSS.The research showed that: (1) ROA has negative and significant effect on the share price, (2) DPR has positive and significant effect in moderating the share price, (3) DER has negative but not significant effect in moderating the effect of ROA on the share price in manufacture companies listed in ISE in 2012-2014.Keywords: return on assets (ROA), dividend payout ratio (DPR), debt to equity ratio (DER), share price.

Abstract

This research is aimed at analyzing the effect of consumers’ ethnocentrism on the perception of product quality and buying intention of ayam taliwang (a case study on Rumah Makan Taliwang I Cakranegara). This is quantitative study. The population are individual and community who already know the ayam taliwang product in Mataram. The sampel were 100 respondents selected through accidental sampling and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The research showed that cosumers’ etnosentrism had significant effect on the buying intention of ayam taliwang in Rumah Makan Taliwang I Cakranegara. The consumers’ etnosentrism had also effect on the perception of product quality which means that the more positive of consumers ethnocentrism the better the perception of product quality of ayam taliwang. Perception of product quality moderated the correlation between consumers’ ethnosentrism and buying intention, which means that the higher the perception of product quality, the stronger the correlation between consumers’ etnosentrism and buying intention. This research implied theoretically and managerially in the context of product of ayam taliwang in Rumah Makan Taliwang I Cakranegara. Keywords : consumers’ ethnosentrism, perception of product quality and buying intention.

Abstract

 This research is aimed at determining the effect of work motivation, satisfaction and organizational commitment on the performance of civil servant district unit of social home service in Lombok. This research is causal associative study with 181 civil servants in all social homes on Lombok as the population. The samples are 64 civil servant selected through Slovin formula. The data were collected through questionnaires distributed to the respondents. The data were analyzed with Multiple Linear Regression Analysis.  The research showed that work motivation has no significant effect on work performance, work satisfaction has no significant effect on the performance of the civil servant, and the organizational commitment has no significant effect on the work performance of the civil servant in all UPTD (District Unit of Service) in all Lombok districts.Keyword: organizational commitment, work satisfaction, work motivation, employees’ performance.

Abstract

Stress is the feeling made when the individual react on a certain case. This is the way one grows to fight against threat and constraints by focusing, preparing strength, stamina, and watchfulness. Stress may be good or bad for employees. The work efficiency depends very much on the good mental and physical condition of the employees. This research is aimed at identifying and analyzing the factors causing job stress of employees working at the medical records at Mataram District Hospital. The population of this research is all 57 employees working at instalation of medical records. The study has beenrestricted to medical records only, due to accessibility, time and other related factors The data were collected through questionnaires, interview and documentation. The data analysis is using factor analysis. The research showed that there are three factors casing work stress. The first is the uncertainty of economy, organizational structure, organizational leadership, and personal characteristics. Second is job demand, role demand,, and personal demand. Third is technology changes and family problem. The result of this research may be useful for the authority of the hospital to make decision in relation to human recourses and also for all staffs in general and the staffs of medical records in particular, especially in recruiting the employees. Keywords: job stress, hospital, employees of medical records, factor analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) the effect of promotion on job satisfaction among echelon IIIofficials in West Lombok regency, (2) the effect of promotion on their work motivation, (3) the effectof work motivation on their satisfaction, (4) the effect of promotion on their job satisfaction throughthe use of work motivation.This research is categorized as a associative causal study. The techniqueof data collection employed literature studies and questionnaires. Population of the study covered169 echelon III officials in West Lombok regency. The data were analyzed using Path Analysistechnique. Results of the study show that: (1) promotion had a positive effect on work motivation; (2)promotion had a positive and significant effect on the work motivation (3) work motivation had apositive and significant impact on the job satisfaction (4) promotion had a positive and significanteffect on the job satisfaction through the provision of motivation from the Government of WestLombok Regency. Results of the study recommend that the authorities of West Lombok regencyshould conduct the promotion process in a fair way by considering the educational background,competence and performance of its staff. Thus, their work motivation and job satisfaction wouldimprove significantly.Keywords: promotion, work motivation, and job satisfaction.

Abstract

The Services at the pawning house of PT. Pegadaian ( Ltd ) of Selong Branch Office are mostlypawning service. Pawning service is one of the main services provided by PT. Pegadaian (Ltd) ofSelong Branch Office. This study aims at observing five variables to identify customers’ satisfaction.Those five variables are reliability (X1), responsiveness (X2), assurance (X3), emphaty (X4), andtangibles (X5). This is an associative study using quetionnaires for data collection. Data is thenanalyzed the multiple linear regression analysis. The study reveals that the variables of reliability(X1), responsiveness (X2), assurance (X3), emphaty (X4), and tangibles (X5) both simultaneously andseparately have a significant and positive effect towards customers’ satisfaction. This, thehypothesis of the study is accepted. Accordingly, PT. Pegadaian (Ltd) of Selong Branch Office is tomaintain the implementation of the five variables. Also, it is also suggested that PT. Pegadaian (Ltd)of Selong Branch Office improve the tangible facilities such as suggestion box, AC, trash cans, andthe space layout.Keywords : services, customer’ satisfaction, service quality, multiple linear regression.

Abstract

This  research  is  aimed at  analyzing  the  effect  of  relationship  marketing  on  the commitment of company, communication of company and the complaint handling of PT. ELI on the loyalty of supplier of tobacco with manual drying in East Lombok. The  data  were  collected  through  questionnaire  and  verified  with validation  and reliability test. The data then were analyzed using classic assumption, multiple linear regression, significance test, and certain use of parameter to proof the hypothesis. The research showed that there is partially and simultaneously significant effect of relationship     marketing     consisting     of     company     commitment,     company communication,  and complaint  handling of  PT  ELI on the  loyalty of  supplier of tobacco with manual drying in east Lombok. Of the relationship marketing of PT ELI that  has  a  dominant effect  of  the  loyalty  of  supplier  in  East  Lombok  is  the commitment of company. The level of effect of commitment of company is 24.10 percent (the value of r2X1Y) on the loyalty of supplier. The simultaneous effect of the three dimensions of relationship marketing is 50.40 percents (R2   =0.504) on the loyalty of supplier, categorized as the high criteria. One of the suggestions for the management of PT ELI is to improve partnership with the supplier, with the concept that may be applied as well as possible in order that the partnership can give sustainable and high economic benefit for the farmers. Keywords:  relationship, marketing  (Company, commitment, communication,  and complain handling) and loyalty of Supplier

Abstract

Companies are required to maintain the employees by paying attention on the occurrence of turnover intention before the end of turnover. This research is aimed at detrmining and analyzing the significant effect of work stresses on the turnover intention, the significant effect of burnout on the turnover intentions, the significant effect of work stress on turnover intentions with burnout as the mediating variable at the employees of four star hotels in Mataram. This research is associative-causality study witf primary and secondary data. The data were collected through interview, documentations, and questionnaires. The population are all employees of the operational department; front office, food and beverage service, food and beverage product, housekeeping, and engineering of the four star hotels in Mataram. All of the them are 333 employees. The samples were selected though Slovin formula that took 182 resmpondents obtained from the stratified random sampling. The data were analyzed with PLS. The research showed that work stress has positive but not significant effect on the turnover intentions, work stress has positive and significant effect on the turnover intentions, work stress has positive and significant effect on the burnout, burnout has positive and significant effect on turnover intentions, work stress has positive and significant effect on the turnover intentions with burnout as the mediating variable. The Implication of this research for companies is that the companies need to maintain the work stress to the optimum level to get the positive effect for the company and to make sense of responsibility of employees, to provide program to support the spirit of work for employees by giving more space for the creativity of the employees to avoid monotonous work.  Kata Kunci : Work Stress, Burnout, Turnover Intentions, Hospitality Industry, Patial Least Square (PLS).
