Jurnal ini mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian tentang pendidikan dan pengajaran, dan artikel yang masuk hendaknya bukan hasil plagiat dan belum dipublikasikan di tempat lain. Abstract

Penalaran logis adalah penalaran yang sesuai dengan aturan-aturan logika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah tujuan penelitian ini adalah  mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran logis mahasiswa semester II Prodi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UNBARI JAMBI tahun akademik 2015/2016 pada mata kuliah Pengantar Dasar Matematika. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sedangkan subjek penelitian yang dituju yaitu mahasiswa semester II Prodi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UNBARI. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Selanjutnya teknik analisa data yang akan dilakukan meliputi 1) data reduction (data reduksi); 2) data display (pemaparan data/kategorisasi); dan 3) conclusion drawing/verification (penarikan kesimpulan).

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of mathematics students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi become the background of this research. One of the causes is less optimal learning process in school. The role of teachers who are more active in the learning process causes students to only receive the material and record it so as to cause a sense of boredom and tend to be passive. Cooperative learning model Talking Stick type is expected to help teachers in the delivery of teaching materials well, so as to improve student learning outcomes. This study is an experimental research that aims to see the results of learning mathematics through cooperative learning model type of talking stick with conventional learning. The population in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi. The sample class is class VIII A as experiment class and class VIII C as control class. Based on the results of research conducted on the final test score (post-test), obtained the average value of the experimental class of 76.5 and the results of the average grade of control class 70.9, and from the results of hypothesis test obtained t count of 2.13 and ttable of 1.68. From the calculation shows that t count is bigger than ttable so H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. So it can be concluded that the results of learning mathematics students using cooperative learning model type of talking stick higher than the mathematics learning outcomes of students through conventional learning.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning Model Type Talking Stick, Conventional Learning

Abstract

Abstract: The study is an experimental research by using quasi experimental design. The subject of the study is Grade VIII F and VIII E, amounted to 80 students. The research instruments were, 1) Contextual Teaching  And Learning (CTL) Approach Design with Problem Based  Learning (PBL)  Model, and conventional design, 2) Questionnaire of Perception, 3) assessment mathematical literacy in a form of cognitive test, affective and psychomotor. Analysis Covarian (ANCOVA) as the data analysis. After analyzing the result of the study with ANCOVA, the summaries are 1) there’s Influence students perception toward mathematics toward mathematical literacy; 2) there’s a student mathematical literacy gap taught with Contextual Teaching  And Learning (CTL)  Approach and Problem Based  Learning (PBL) Model, which is higher than students taught by conventional way.Key Words: Contextual Teaching  And Learning (CTL)  Approach,  Problem Based  Learning (PBL)   Model, Student Perception, Mathematical Literacy

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research is conducted on student grade IX Private Junior High School of Adhyaksa which is 34 students and consist of 15 male and 19 female. This research is Started from August to November 2014. The fact that found in learning social science at grade IX Private Junior High School of Adhyaksa, that low student motivation, student still depend on teacher and still conventional learning. It is caused that 15 students of 34 students can’t get minimum passing grade creteria. Based on that caused the researcher urgent to do coorperative Learning group investigation type to increase student motivation learning to achieve social science learning according to minimum passing grade criteria which is issued by School. The succession which researcher target in this research is to get the minimum passing grade criteria. After doing at the end of second cycle the researcher got target it, because the teacher and students which applied coorperative Learning investigation group type that got a good score. The researcher conducted well to apply action by using coorperative Learning investigation group type on student motivation. There is significant increase of studentss achievement on second cycle, but on first cycle student still depend on teacher and afraid to express it, but it is done on second cycle. Abstract

This study aims to improve students 'ability to summarize with the use of varied exercises in improving students' ability to summarize Indonesian language subjects in grade IV 196 / IV State Elementary School in Alam Barajo, Jambi City. As for the assessment of reading ability include: (1 ) Able to read the readings to be summarized properly (2) able to comprehend the contents in full to the summaries to be read (3) to be able to find main ideas or sentence topics in the reading that will be summarized and (4) able to rearrange ideas or topic sentences that have been found to be a complete writing. The results of the research in each cycle about students' ability to summarize. In the first cycle the ability of students to summarize the average value of 52, the action of the second cycle reached an average of 62.19. At the cycle III the learning outcomes of students' ability to summarize with an average value of 77.24. By paying attention to the results of the research carried out, the abilities obtained by the students above increase in each cycle carried out for it. It is expected that Indonesian grade 4 elementary school teachers can use varied exercises can improve students' ability to summarize using varied exercises, so students can summarize well.

Abstract

This study aim to find out the soft skill attributes of students, soft skills based on devices from 2015 to 2017, soft skills based on gender, and soft skills based on student origin. The method uses a survey research approach with a population of all Economics Education FKIP Jambi University students in the class of 2015, 2016 and 2017. The respondents as sampled was 180 people. As for the results: 1) The soft skills attributes that the students have overall are very good with a Relative Frequency of 63.91%. 2) The ability of student soft skills from class, 2015, 2016 and 2017 is very good with an absolute frequency of 36 and a relative frequency of 69.23% and Soft Skills Ability Student devices have increased from 2015 to 2017. 3) Student's Soft Skills based on gender were found that women were higher than men with very good average abilities with results of count 25 for men and women count 122. 4) Soft Skills students based on the origin of the village and the city, the results of the analysis obtained F count coefficient of 0.218 with a rejection rate of 64.10% thus there is no difference in the average ability of students soft skills from the city and from the village. Suggestions in this study before using soft skills assessment instruments regarding student interpersonal relations, we must first study and understand the instructions for assessing instruments, assessment procedures and the core of the assessment in each rubric.

Abstract

Based on the data from the initial conditions before the classroom action research was obtained, it was obtained information that the percentage of learning completeness 53% had not reached the indicator. Thus, a study was conducted at Muslimat Kindergarten in Group B Academic Year 2016 / 2017. This study showed a significant increase in the introduction of geometry child group B TK Muslimat. This can be seen from the first cycle on the percentage of completeness 62% with an average observation (student activity) 68% (sufficient) and finally on cyclical II on the percentage of completeness 80% with an average observation (student activity) 82% ( well). Based on these data it can be concluded that varied puzzle games can improve geometry recognition in group B of the first semester in Muslimat Kindergarten in the 2016/2017 Academic Year. Suggestions that researchers can convey should be in the process of introducing geometry, teachers must create learning that is active, innovative, creative, effective, and fun. One of them through varied puzzle games, so that the goal of increasing geometry recognition can be achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the attention of children during the learning of storytelling activities through the method of telling stories with hand puppet media. The reason for the selection of hand puppet media is because it has a unique shape, patterns and motifs that attract children's attention. This study is a collaborative classroom action research using the Kemmis and Taggart Model in 1990. The subjects in this study were the Group B children of Nurul Ibadah Kindergarten 2015/2016 Academic Year, totaling 15 children consisting of 9 men and 6 women. The method of data collection is done by observation and documentation. The instrument used was an observation sheet. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive. Children's attention when learning storytelling activities can be increased through the method of telling stories with hand puppet media with steps (1) the teacher conditions the child, (2) the teacher tells the story title to be read, (3) the teacher introduces the puppet according to the characters in the story ( 4) the teacher tells the contents of the story, (5) at the end of the teacher gives a question to the child to know the child's memory and understanding of the story being read. Children's attention increases every cycle. In pre-action the attention of children with the criteria of good attention was only 13.33% (2 children). After the action in Cycle I increased to 60% (9 children), and in Cycle II the attention of children increased again to 93.33% (14 children).

Abstract

Social skills and collaboration of children in playing games and supporting factors and constraints of the whirlwind game in improving social skills and collaboration of children in Al-Akbar Kindergarten, Jambi City. Classroom Action Research was conducted at Al-Akbar Kindergarten, Jambi City. The method used in research is the Classroom Action Research method. Research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisted of stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Quantitative and qualitative data collection. Indicators of success are as follows: increasing social skills and cooperation more than 80% and minimum teacher performance Good percentage of 3.00. From the data analysis of first cycle research, the results of the ability of social skills and the collaboration of children in playing areas were 45% with very less categories, then improvements to the results of the study increased by 70 % with sufficient categories. To further maximize the social skills and collaboration of children through playing, the research continues to improve the third cycle with a very good increase to 90%. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that playing the game at Al-Akbar Kindergarten in Jambi City could improve social skills and child cooperation and improve teacher performance. Based on the results of the study, it can be suggested to use a whirlwind game in providing learning especially to improve social skills and cooperation in early childhood.

Abstract

The low interest of students in writing letters must be responded to by the teachers, efforts to increase the passion of writing students, teachers try to improve the techniques and abilities of students through letter writing. The objectives of this study include the first to describe the level of students' ability to write personal letters through student training techniques, second Improve the learning process of writing personal letters to students, and third Improve the ability to write personal letters through training techniques so students achieve grades above KKM. In this study, the research design used was classroom action research (CAR) by taking action through cycle I and cycle II. The scope of this research is classroom learning carried out by teachers and students to make improvements that have an impact on improving student learning outcomes. The results of this study show that in the first cycle the value of the ability to write a personal letter in the first cycle was 66.00 with sufficient categories. While the ability to write a personal letter in the second cycle obtained an average value of 77.83 with a good category experiencing an increase of 11.33 or 17.20%.
