Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of geogebra in the material tangent circles on student interest in learning. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that aims to describe the level of student interest in learning using geogebra applications on tangent circles. The results of this study were obtained from the distribution of instruments in the form of questionnaires for student interest in learning which were then processed using a Likert scale and then analyzed. The place of this research was conducted at SMAN I Cikalongwetan. The population used was all students of SMAN 1 Cikalongwetan with the sample being students of class XI A of SMAN 1 Cikalongwetan. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained it can be concluded that the level of student interest in learning after learning to use geogebra can be categorized quite well and students look more enthusiastic when learning to use geogebra. The weaknesses of the application of geogebra in learning in schools are: 1) the limitations of tools / android, 2) the time used is longer because they have to introduce the functions contained in every tool in geogebra, 3) not all students like technology

Abstract

Listening ability is one of the important skills in foreign language learning, and there has been relatively little research in this specific area. The prior English skill is listening. Without passing listening, someone can not be able to speak, read, and write. The present study attempts to investigate the listening problems encountered by a group of Tenth Grade Students of MA Nurul Falah. In this research, the writer uses descriptive research method. Data was gathered by the instruments of observations, students’ listening scores analysis, questionnaires and interviews. The findings of the study showed that there are two listening difficulties factors that the students encountered which are divided to two, those are internal factors such as unclear pronunciation, limited vocabulary, poor knowledge of grammar, unfamiliarity with the listening topic, inability to concentrate, do not like English, self-distrust, speech rate, and accent, the second one are from external factors like poor tapes quality and noises around them while they are listening. The suggestions therefore state that the school should facilitate the listening lab with adequate equipment and the English teachers should motivate students’ enthusiasm by starting to like and learn English listening also extensively outside the classroom.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the situation in the field shows that the pythagorean theorem material is an abstract material, complicated, and requires precision in calculating using formulas. The purpose of this study is for learning learning using the PBL model (Problem Based Learning) in the Pythagoras theorem material. The method of this study used the exeriment method with the design of the pretest-posttest group, the subject of this study was class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Campaka Mulya which produced 32 students consisting of 20 males and 12 females. The instruments used are tests and non-tests. Data collection tools are RPP Learning Implementation Plans, Observation Sheets, and Test Sheets. Based on the results of class VIII tests before using the PBL model in pythagoras lotus material obtained an average value of 53. And the results of class VIII tests after using the PBL model on pythagoras teorema material scored an average value of 75. and after the application of the PBL model Based on teacher observation and students in the implementation of mathematical learning in the material of the pyhtagorean theorem can be concluded to run well. 78% and 75% student activities are carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' interest in learning mathematics in linear program material using the geogebra application. The research method used is descriptive analysis. The population in this study were private high school in West Bandung Regency and the sample taken was class XI students of Leppesa 2 Cililin high school, totaling 25 people, 13 male and 12 female. The instrument used was a statement questionnaire with indicators of student interest in learning consisting of 20 statements. Based on the results of data analysis obtained an overall percentage of 51.39% which shows that most of the students have an interest in learning mathematics in linear program material assisted by geogebra ICT media.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMPN 02 Kersamanah VIII. This research is a Posstest-only Control Design in which the researcher only compares the results of the posttest of the experimental class and the control class. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the ability of students 'mathematical self-concept between classes where learning uses the RME approach and classes that use conventional approaches and strengthen students' self-concepts in the millennial era. This study used 25 experimental and control class students as samples with a duration of research consisting of 8 meetings. Based on the analysis of post-test data and N-Gain shows that there are significant differences in the ability to think logically mathematically where the mathematical self-concept of students whose learning using the RME approach is better than the classroom learning using conventional approaches. This is because the use of the RME approach provides meaningful learning by seeing, searching, and exploring real objects. Where students have more responsibility for learning mathematics, reducing online gaming activities, and the use of gadgets.

Abstract

This study aims to increase motivation in IX-D students of SMP Negeri 2 Tuntang on the material of Rank Numbers and Root Shapes with the Zathura Mathematics Board Game media. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles and each cycle takes place four times in accordance with the learning implementation plan. The research was conducted in the odd semester learning process in August 2019. The subjects of this study were students of class IX-D SMP Negeri 2 Tuntang in the 2019/2020 academic year totaling 30 students consisting of 14 female students and 16 male students . The results showed that the use of Zathura Mathematics Board Game media can increase students' motivation to learn mathematics. The average value of students' motivation questionnaire in learning mathematics was 67% after the learning process was assisted with learning media. The motivation of students increased significantly by 14% after using the media, the average motivation of students to 81%.

Abstract

One of the important components in education in Indonesia is the mastery of good language, Indonesian language plays an important role for education in Indonesia because it is the official language in all fields.Literary ability includes four aspects, namely: speaking, speaking, reading, and writing. Writing is one skill that has a high level of difficulty compared to other skills. Writing requires skill, extensive insight, and strong motivation to be able to help, one of the learning materials for writing in junior high school is about writing descriptive text. One alternative learning is to use contextual learning because it uses students' daily experiences as a source in writing description texts. The sample in this study was grade VII students at Putra Juang Junior High School located in the city of Cianjur, the results of the research that were refuted related to contextual application could increase the ability of students to write description texts. This is evidenced by the average value of students in learning to write text improvement description. At the first meeting the average value of students is 60 At the second meeting the average value of students is 77. while at the first meeting only 30% of the 40 students are eligible to reach the KKM, while at the second meeting 80% of students have reached the KKM. From the results of the study it can be concluded from more effective research, which is more contextual more suitable for writing descriptive text

Abstract

The study aims to analyze students' mathematical problem solving abilities in solving questions on the KPK and FPB material. This research is located at the Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bongas 1. The research was conducted on October 7, 2019. The time was carried out when the Mathematics subject was in progress. This research was carried out specifically in class VI of Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bongas 1 with a total of 25 students. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Instrument is a tool used in collecting data to obtain data needed in a study. The instrument used in the study was a test in the form of 5 questions. Data analysis was carried out during and after data collection. The qualitative part is used to analyze students' learning difficulties when working on FPB material problems. Based on the results of the answers and interviews with students of Class VI Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Private Bongas 1, it can be concluded that (1). Students are not familiar with problem solving problems. (2). Students do not understand the steps in solving problem solving problems. (3) Students from the beginning did not know how to work on questions about FPB and KPK (4). Students find it difficult to work on FPB problems because students cannot perform multiplication and distribution operations which are prerequisite material from the KPK and FPB.

Abstract

Abstract This research was intended to analyze: a) the locutionary act used among prospective front officer students to express front officer tasks in terms of speech acts category, b) the speech styles used among prospective front officer students to express front officer tasks in terms of politeness and impoliteness. c) the errors committed in their speech acts in terms of grammar, diction, and appropriateness. The subjects of the study were the front office students of grade twelve at SMK Negeri 2 Singaraja. It was designed as a descriptive qualitative research and employed data elicitation, recording, data transcription and coding as methods of data collection. The data analysis was affiliated with Bach and Harnish’s (1979) speech acts theory, Geoffrey Leech’s (1983) politeness principle theory and was done following Miles and Huberman’s (1994) interactive model of data analysis. This study found that the highest frequency of speech acts produced by prospective front officer students was directives (67.8%) and then followed by acknowledgments (14.9%), constatives (14.4%) and the lowest frequency was commissives (2.9%). Keywords: speech acts, prospective front officer students, learning EFL, Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: a) tindakan locutionary yang digunakan diantara siswa calon petugas front office untuk mengungkapkan tugas mereka dalam kategori tindak tutur, b) gaya bicara yang digunakan diantara siswa calon petugas front office untuk mengungkapkan tugas mereka dalam istilah sopan dan tidak sopan. c) errors yang dilakukan dalam tindak tutur mereka dalam hal tata bahasa, diksi, dan ketepatan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa akomodasi perhotelan kelas dua belas di SMK Negeri 2 Singaraja. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan memakai data elicitation, perekaman, transkripsi data dan coding sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Analisis data dihubungkan dengan Bach dan Harnish (1979) teori tindak tutur, Geoffrey Leech (1983) teori prinsip prinsip kesopanan dan mengikuti Miles and Huberman (1994) model interaktif dari analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa frekuensi tertinggi dari tindak tutur yang dihasilkan oleh siswa calon petugas front office adalah directives (67,8%) dan diikuti oleh acknowledgments (14,9%), constatives (14,4%) dan frekuensi terendah commissives (2,9%). Abstract

In the context of "Internet +", using information and intelligence in the education field has become an inevitable trend now. Based on Six-Questions cognitive theory, taking monotonic functions as an example, designing a mathematic learning media using hawgent to solve problems such as “boredom” and “basic understanding” in they present teaching. The goal is to explore the information technology as it can be a reference to optimizing the classroom teaching.
