Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes of student, and teacher teaching skills. Subject to be taught in this study are Social Sciences and Indonesia Language through the Numbered Head Together model, which is assisted by a Turning Wheel media. Learning outcomes are the ability of the skilss, attitude and skills that students get after they receive the tratment given by the teacher so that they can contribute that knowledge in their daily lives. Numbered Head Together learning media are learning process activities where each student is grouped and numbered in the head of activeness of students in searching, processing repoting information in class so that students can go to the front of the class or be presented and report information that has been learned at this time. Spinning Wheel learning media is a media in the form of a wheel or circle which is divided into several sections in which there are questions, this media can attract attention, interest, and motivation to learn so that the learning process will be fun and optimal. The subjects in this study were students of class V SD 2 Tenggeles, totaling 34 students consisting of 20 female students and 14 male students.

Abstract

Interest in learning is one of the soft skills that are important for students to have. Because interest in learning will make it easier for students to achieve learning goals. While a lack of interest in learning can result in a lack of interest in a person in a particular field, it can even lead to rejection of the teacher. The focus of our research on the research sample is to determine the criteria for student interest in learning. This research is motivated by most elementary school (SD) students who do not like learning mathematics because mathematics is a subject that deals with numbers. This shows that students are less interested in learning mathematics. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a sample of 11 people. The results of this study indicate the criteria for student interest in learning with the help of VBA are in the high category because the average percentage accumulation is 85.34%. The VBA application is a learning medium that is arguably something new for elementary students in general. So that when the media is used in learning, it can attract students to pay attention and follow learning well.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is the lack of mathematical creative thinking abilities of elementary school students in Cimahi, Indonesia. This lack of mathematical creative thinking abilities is caused by an incorrect learning process. The teacher does not direct students to think creatively. In fact students still depend a lot on what is explained by the teacher in the class. The learning process with problem-based learning that is aided by hawgent dynamic mathematic software can direct students to think creatively. The population in this study were all elementary school students in Cimahi city. The samples were the students of elementary school Cimahi class 3A and 3B. The instrument in this study is descriptive test of students creative thinking abilities. This instrument was used to obtain data about students' creative thinking abilities with problem-based learning approach using hawgent dynamic mathematic software and by conventional learning. The data processed in this study was from the post-test score. These scores from both of the experimental class group and the control class group. Then, the data was processed by using SPSS 19.0 and Microsoft Excel. The data was analyzed using t-test statistic. The final result of this study concluded the achievement and improvement of creative thinking abilities of students whose learning problem-based approach using hawgent dynamic mathematic software.

Abstract

The effective teaching design of mathematics should be designed carefully by teachers according to the situation of students' learning and the analysis of teaching materials. Its teaching design should run through the origin and development of knowledge generation, and reasonably ensure the continuity and integrity of teaching. Based on the theory of "6-Question Cognitive Theory", This research using development method with steps to make comparisons between the this paper attempts to make a comparison between the "equal ratio sequence" and the "equal ratio sequence". Results in this study show that The teaching design of "6-Question Cognitive Theory" knowledge embodies the coherence, completeness and operability of the teaching design from six aspects: where the mathematical knowledge comes from, the essence of the knowledge, the connection and difference between the new knowledge and the old knowledge, the transformation of the knowledge, how to apply the knowledge and the process of reflecting the knowledge generation, so as to provide a theoretical and practical reference for the teaching design of high school mathematics Test

Abstract

Comparison, ratio, and proportion were any problems encountered in everyday life. To understand it, high-level proportional reasoning is needed. The analysis for this ability was important, especially on any students with an auditory learning style that rely on hearing to understand the lesson. This study attempts to describe the proportional reasoning level of students with the auditory learning style in solving the proportion problems. Research informants were selected using purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of the learning style questionnaire, the researcher obtains 5 students with an auditory learning style. The research informant was given some question about the proportion, then were they interviewed about the strategies used in solving the problems. The results of the analysis of student answers and interviews indicate that 4 in 5 students have proportional reasoning at the qualitative level. Only 1 in 5 students reach the multiplicative level. Perbandingan, rasio dan proporsi merupakan permasalahan yang sering ditemui dalam kehidipan sehari-hari. Untuk memahaminya diperlukan kemampuan penalaran proporsional. Analisis kemampuan ini menjadi penting terutama bagi siswa dengan gaya belajar auditori yang mengandalkan pendengaran untuk memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan tingkat kemampuan penalaran proporsional siswa dengan gaya belajar auditori dalam menyelesaikan soal perbandingan. Informan penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil angket gaya belajar, ditemukan 5 siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar auditori. Setelah menyelesaikan soal perbandingan, informan penelitian diwawancarai mengenai strategi penyelesaian soal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 4 dari 5 siswa memiliki kemampuan penalaran proporsional level kualitatif dan hanya satu siswa yang mencapai level multiplikatif.

Abstract

The study aims to improve student learning outcomes in sloving problems with the material by implementing the Make A Match model assisted by snake and ladder media. The subjects of this study were 26 grade IV students with the location of the research carried out in SD 1 Gamong, Kaliwungu District, Kudus Regency. This research lasted for 2 cycles with 2 meatings in each cycle. Data collection techniques are carried out in the form of test and observation sheets.Beston the results of the analysis obtained, it shows that the application of the Make A Match model with the assistance of snake and ladder media on theme 7 especially in social studies content and indonesian can improve student learning outcomes. This research is expected that other researchers can develop learning using the Make A Match model to be more effective by paying more attention to learning syntax and paying attention to the characteristics of the subjects and materials to be used.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce trigonometry instructional package with learning cycle 7e model based on the aspect of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in terms of problem solving skill and curiosity of 10th grade senior High School students. There are seven phases of learning cycle 7e model consisting of elicit, engage, explore, explain, elaborate, evaluate, and extend. The developed instructional package consists of lesson plans and worksheets. This study was research and development. The developing model in this research used ADDIE’s model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The research instruments were validation sheets, teacher assessment quistionnaire, student assessment quistionnaire, observation sheets for learning implementation, problem solving skill tests, and curiosity questionnaire. The instructional package is effective if the percentage of students who meet the completion of a classical test on problem-solving skills tests reaches at least 75%, and if the percentage of questionnaire results students meet the high category with minimum 75%. The first step of this research is to carry out the analysis with the steps of conducting analysis of needed, analysis of material, and analysis of student character. In this step, lesson plans and worksheets were designed with learning cycle 7e model. To determine validity criteria, a validation sheet is used based on the expert's assessment. Then for the practicality used teacher assessment quistionnaire, student assessment quistionnaire, and observation sheets for learning implementation. Next to determine the effectiveness criteria seen from the results of student scores by giving problem solving skill tests, and curiosity questionnaire.

Abstract

Education cannot be interpreted only as science implementation , but it is broader. By implementing proper education, learners will also understand local wisdom in their surrounding environment. This research takes local wisdom in Kudus as Hindu, Buddist, and Islam heritages. This research aim to find out the implementation of Make A Match learning model based on local wisdom toward the cognitive learning outcames of learners. This research applice classroom action method promoted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: 1) planning; 2) acting; 3) observing; 4) monitoring. The finding showed that Make A match model based on local wisdom could improve cognitive leraners’ learning outcames. It could be seen from the reached indicators as follow. Cognitive learning outcame improvement improved with a pre-cycle score achievement of social suty lesson 52,63% it improved into 68,42% in cycle I then, it improved in cycle II 84,21%. Meanwhile, dealing with Indonesian language content, it improved from 68,15% in pre-cycle into 73,6% in cycle I then, in cycle II it improved into 89,47% Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Make A Match, Local wisdom

Abstract

Mathematics’ National examination is conducted annually in all countries. Including Indonesia and China. but there are only a few researchers who make observations about the difficulty of the national exams in each country. There is not even a paper comparing the national exams in 2 countries. So in this study, This article compares the comprehensive difficulty of the Nanjing and Nanning test mathematics’ National examination questions from the five difficulty factors of background factors, cognitive level, reasoning ability, calculation level, and knowledge content. The method in this research is a mix method, using qualitative and quantitative for maximum data analysis results. The results show that, in terms of background factors, the test questions of Nanning paper The comprehensive difficulty is higher than that of the Nanjing paper. In the other four factors, the comprehensive difficulty of the Nanjing paper is slightly higher than that of the Nanning paper. The comprehensive difficulty coefficient of the two sets of test papers is slightly larger in terms of the calculation level and the cognitive level. The set of test papers basically maintains a balance of difficulty in the five factors. Based on the results of the research.

Abstract

There were problems related to student achievement in class XII MIPA 3 so it is necessary to find a solution through a study. The purpose of this research was to improve the physics learning achievement of direct current electric material in class XII MIPA 3 academic year 2019/2020 through the application of the discovery learning method. The research was conducted in Class XII of SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. Implementation time is from July to September 2019. Based on the results of learning activities Direct Current Electrical Material physics that have been carried out for three cycles, and based on all the discussions and analyzes that have been carried out, it can deactivate the Physics learning of Direct Current Electricity material by active learning. positive impact in increasing student achievement overcoming the increase in student learning completeness in each cycle, namely cycle I (60%), cycle II (73%), cycle III (90%). The application of the active learning method of the Discovery Learning method in Physics subjects has a positive effect, namely it can increase student motivation as indicated by the average student's answer which states that students are interested and interested in learning models so that they become motivated to learn. The application of the active learning method of the Discovery Learning method in Physics subjects can improve mastery of Physics subjects with the subject of Direct Current Electricity and understanding the meaning contained therein.
