Abstract

This study aims to improve student mathematics learning outcomes by using the Auditory Intelectually Repetition (AIR) learning model approach. This researh using a Kemmis and Taggrat model design consisting of two cycles. The subjects of the research is the 4th grade student at Prambatan Kidul 1 Elementary School. Data analysis techniques throught interviews, observation, and tests. The result of this study indicate that student learning outcomes using the AIR learning model assisted by magic cirkuit media have increased. This can be seen from the increase in the pre-cycle stage which shows the mathematical learning outcomes of student by 37,03% with an average score of 62 experienced an increase in the first cycle of 59% with an average score of 66 an the second cycle also increased to 85% with a score an average of 77. Based on the result of the research that has been carried out 4th grade student at Prambatan Kidul Elementary School, it can application Auditory Intelectually Repetition model assisted by magic circuit media can improve mathematics learning outcomes.Keyword: auditory intellectually repetition; learning outcomes; mathematics  Alternative Link -- PDF  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v9i1.pp12-21

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate: (1) the differences of reading skill between the students who join in CIRC cooperative learning model, Jigsaw cooperative learning model, and STAD cooperative learning model; (2) the differences of reading skill between students who have high and low language logic ability; (3) the influences of the use of the three cooperative learning models and the language logic ability on reading skill. This is an experiment study with 3x2 factorial designs. Manipulation is done towards the learning model variables. The experiment group is provided with a learning treatment involving CIRC, Jigsaw, and STAD learning model. The group is divided into two categories, students who have high language logic ability and those who have low language logic ability. The population of the study is the fifth grade elementary school student in Central Java of 2011/2012 Academic Year. Whereas, the samples are the fifth grade elementary students of 12 Elementary Schools in four regencies/cities, in total involve 364 students taken by multi stage area random sampling technique. The data of reading skill is elicited by reading comprehenson test, while the assessment on the level of language logic ability is done by using test of language logic ability. The data is analized by two-way variant. The results show that: (a) the reading skill of the students who joined in CIRC learning model is better than those who joined in Jigsaw or STAD model, meanwhile the students who joined in Jigsaw and STAD learning model have the same skill level; (b) The reading skill of the students who have high language logic ability is better than those who have low language logic ability; (c) cooperative learning model and language logic ability influence readingskill.

Abstract

Abstract Mathematics is a tool used to represent, explain, and solve problems in physics, so its role is very important. By giving open questions and deep question to prospective teacher students it can be obtained how prospective teachers represent physicaly concepts and teach them to students. From the results of the analysis it can be obtained that a prospective teacher representation and teaches it to students as is commonly accepted when studying in higher education. In solving physic problems, it is often not in suitable with the context of the problem and is more often to the previosly  understood.Keywords: Mathematics, physical concepts, contextual Abstrak Matematika merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk mempresentasikan, menjelaskan, dan menyelesaikan permasalahan Fisika, sehingga peranannya sangat penting. Dengan memberikan pertanyaan terbuka kepada mahasiswa calon guru dan wawancara mendalam dapat diperoleh bahwa bagaimana calon guru mempresentasikan konsep fisika dan mengajarkannya kepada peserta didik. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa seorang calon guru mempresentasikan dan mengajarkannya kepada peserta didik seperti yang biasa diterima ketika belajar diperguruan tinggi. Dalam menyelesaikan masalah fisika, sering tidak sesuai dengan kontek soalnya dan lebih kepada yang sering dipahami sebelumnya.Kata kunci: Matematika, konsep fisika, kontektual

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the animated film Upin and Ipin on the environmental care attitude of 5th graders at SD 2 Ngarus.The research method used is qualitative phenomenology. This research is focused on looking at the impact of the film Upin and Ipin on students' environmental care attitudes. The research was conducted at SD 2 Ngarus. The informants in this study were 5th graders. The data collection techniques used were 1) documentation; 2) interview; and 3) observation. In analyzing qualitative data, it is carried out through three stages, namely: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification.The results of the study found that there were changes in attitudes such as diligently helping and paying attention to plants and throwing garbage around them, turning off the water faucet when not in use, throwing garbage in its place after the informants watched the Upin and Ipin movie. Furthermore, the informants have awareness in recycling waste into items that have a selling value, use plastic waste after it is disposed of, invite friends to collect used items and then bury them.Meanwhile, the negative impact is that the informants never help their parents burn the accumulated garbage, the informants have not been able to save fuel (energy), and the informants sometimes do not throw away used goods.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes (knowledge and skills) as well as the teaching skills of fourth grade teachers at SDN 1 Gondoharum on theme 6 My goals by using Quantum teaching learning models assisted by PALANG ARAHKU. The type of research is Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted with 27 research subjects and teachers which lasted for 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflectionThe results of the study in the first cycle of the knowledge domain of IPS and Indonesian students in classical terms gained 68.7% (good). Then it increased in cycle II to 86.99% (very good). In the realm of skill cycle I gained a percentage of 71.5% (good) increased in cycle II to 87.5% (very good). The results of teacher teaching skills have increased. In cycle I gained a percentage of 71% (good) and cycle II increased to 85% (very good). Based on the results of cycle I and cycle II of the Quantum teaching model of grade IV students at SDN 1 Gondoharum Kudus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan model Think Talk Write, 2) meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan model Think Talk Write, dan 3) meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas V SD 1 Wergu Kulon dengan model Think Talk Write berbantuan media Monomat pada materi bangun datar dan bangun ruang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah jenis tes dan non tes. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengitung ketuntasan klasikal, rata-rata kelas, dan rata-rata per indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa. Analisis kualitatif menggunakan rating scale. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa dapat meningkat dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write berbantuan media Monomat. Siswa dapat berpikir, berbicara, dan menulis yang mengarah pada mengembangkan ide atau gagasan matematika sehingga kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa dapat berkembang dengan menggunakan model Think Talk Write.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to apply the ethnolingistic learning model based on Islamic values of the nusantara to students of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD). This research is development research. The stages in this study took seven steps from the ten R and D steps offered by Gall and Borg. The data to be collected in this study is data that shows the teaching material and design of ethnolinguistic learning based on Islamic Nusantara values for PGSD students. The product trial subjects were lecturers and PGSD students at Muria Kudus University. The results of this study are ethnolinguistic learning models based on Islamic values of the nusantara and teaching materials. Based on the results of the discussion it can be concluded that the ethnolinguistic learning model based on Islamic values of the nusantara and ethnolinguistic teaching materials based on Islamic values of the nusantara are appropriate and meet the requirements to be used as learning models and teaching materials.

Abstract

Education cannot be interpreted only as science implementation , but it is broader. By implementing proper education, learners will also understand local wisdom in their surrounding environment. This research takes local wisdom in Kudus as Hindu, Buddist, and Islam heritages. This research aim to find out the implementation of Make A Match learning model based on local wisdom toward the cognitive learning outcames of learners. This research applice classroom action method promoted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: 1) planning; 2) acting; 3) observing; 4) monitoring. The finding showed that Make A match model based on local wisdom could improve cognitive leraners’ learning outcames. It could be seen from the reached indicators as follow. Cognitive learning outcame improvement improved with a pre-cycle score achievement of social suty lesson 52,63% it improved into 68,42% in cycle I then, it improved in cycle II 84,21%. Meanwhile, dealing with Indonesian language content, it improved from 68,15% in pre-cycle into 73,6% in cycle I then, in cycle II it improved into 89,47% Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Make A Match, Local wisdom

Abstract

Concepts mastery is a very important part that must be owned by prospective ofphysics teacher to solve a variety of problems in physics. Multyrepresentation is one of the ways that you can use to explore the ability of understanding the concept. Representation skill is a capability for interpret and apply various concepts in solving the problemsappropriately. Assessment with several different representation formats can provide accurate information the ability of prospective teachers in understanding the concepts of physics.

Abstract

The study aimed to explain how much influence the application of the Numbered Head Together learning model for strengthening the elementary school student character building in Dempet subdistrict. The research design used an experimental research. The study population was all of students in the fourth grade of elementary school. The sampling technique usesd purposive sampling. The research instrument used a questionaire. The collected data was tested with data description, normality test and homogeneity test, hypothesis test. The results obtained Sig. (2-tailed) of 00 <0.05 and the t-count of t (19.422) The value of t table with df = 91 of 1.9864, so that the t-count > t table (19.422> 1.9864). Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05. and the t-count > t table. It could be seen that there was significant influence on the Numbered Head Together method to strengthen the character building of the elementary school students
