Abstract

The customary institution of Tenganan Pegringsingan has accountability practices based on metaphysical relationships through rituals (ceremonies) and the use of traditional offerings (banten) while adhering firmly to the teachings of kharmaphala. This research adopts a qualitative research method with an interpretive paradigm and aligns with the ethnomethodological approach. The research informants were selected based on their competence in answering the research questions, namely the traditional leader, the traditional executor, and the local community. Rituals (ceremonies) using traditional offerings (banten) are considered very sacred and holy. This offering is part of the yadnya and bhakti of the customary community at the Tenganan Pegringsingan customary institution. Yadnya is a sacrifice that will become more meaningful for others and fellow beings if we perform it with sincerity and without expecting any reward, while bhakti is the embodiment of respect that is always based on a sense of sincerity. The skill of total surrender to God to achieve the pinnacle of success and happiness in this world and the hereafter. The foundation of those values dominates the souls of the organization's administrators in carrying out their duties. Of course, yadnya and bhakti are very important in rituals.

Abstract

Circular economy-based waste management is an important approach to support environmental sustainability while improving community welfare. This study aims to analyze the organic waste management system in Tegal Tugu Village, Gianyar, by highlighting the implementation of a circular economy and its impacts on the environment and society. This study was conducted using qualitative methods and a case study approach, involving direct observation and descriptive analysis of the collected data. The results show that Tegal Tugu Village's organic waste is managed through sorting, composting, and fermentation. This process produces value-added products, such as organic fertilizer and biogas, which not only support sustainable agriculture but also reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers. Furthermore, the implementation of a circular economy in this village provides real economic benefits, including new business opportunities and job creation for the local community. However, some challenges must be overcome, such as the limited capacity of processing facilities and the level of community awareness that is not yet fully evenly distributed in sorting waste. Overall, this study contributes by offering a circular economy-based waste management model that is relevant to be applied in other areas. The implications of these findings include improving environmental quality, empowering communities, and developing a sustainable local economy. With consistent education and strengthening of infrastructure, Tegal Tugu Village can become a model for environmentally friendly and community-based organic waste management.

Abstract

Application of circular economy and green accounting in organic waste management in Tegalalang Village, Gianyar, Bali. With the increasing amount of waste due to population growth and tourism, this village faces significant challenges in waste management, especially organic waste. The application of circular economy principles through the separation, processing, and utilization of organic waste into compost and biogas has succeeded in reducing the volume of waste and creating new economic value. In addition, green accounting is integrated to measure environmental impacts, record costs, and benefits, and increase transparency in resource management. The results of the study show that the combination of circular economy and green accounting not only increases public awareness of sustainability but also strengthens the competitiveness of local products and supports sustainable agriculture. Thus, Tegalalang Village becomes a model for the implementation of sustainable waste management practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tegal Tugu Village faces the problem of managing organic waste which has not provided significant economic value, even though it has implemented the 3R method and maggot cultivation (Black Soldier Fly larvae/BSF) as an environmental solution. This research aims to develop an effective and efficient maggot cultivation method to optimize organic waste management while increasing village income. This research uses a qualitative approach with data obtained through interviews and observations at TPS 3R Tri Buana Asri. Data analysis techniques were carried out by mapping cultivation media needs, designing a maggot cultivation system, and evaluating harvest results as catfish feed. The research results show that a plastic tub-based cultivation media design with a liquid drainage system can reduce odors, increase the efficiency of maggot production, and produce quality feed for catfish. The contribution of this research lies in optimizing the management of organic waste into sustainable economic resources. The practical implications include opportunities to increase village income through diversification of maggot products as well as the promotion of circular economy concepts that support sustainable environmental management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the green economics model in the management of inorganic waste in Tegal Tugu Village, with a focus on the economic and environmental impacts produced. The increasing amount of inorganic waste that is not managed properly has the potential to damage the environment and burden the final disposal site. Through the green economics approach, which prioritizes the reuse and processing of waste into valuable items, it is hoped that a more sustainable solution can be created. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the application of green economics in Tegal Tugu Village can reduce the volume of waste entering the landfill, increase household income, and reduce negative impacts on the environment. However, the challenges faced include the lack of public awareness and limited supporting infrastructure. This study suggests the importance of continuous education and strengthening cooperation between the government, community, and private sector.
