Abstract

Paddy is a food ingredient that produces rice which is the staple food lndonesian population that are not easily replaced by other feed ingredients. Rice is a social commodity therefore changes in rice would be so easy mepengaruhi other social and economic life. Therefore the government's attention to rice supply be a program priorities. The research objectives are: 1). to assess the availability of subsidized fertilizer to rice cultivation needs in order to achieve food security at Deli Serdang Regency, 2) to assess the fertilizer subsidy will increase the rice productivity at Deli Serdang Regency, 3) to assess the fertilizer subsidy will increase rice production in Deli Serdang Regency .The results of this study shows that : 1) the provision of fertilizer subsidies for Deli Serdang Regency is very supportive of the needs of rice cultivation in order to achieve food security at Deli Serdang Regency, 2) the fertilizer subsidy for the Deli Serdang Regency had been increased the land productivity per hectare, 3) the fertilizer subsidy for the Deli Serdang Regency had been increased the rice production at Deli Serdang Regency. The availability of subsidized fertilizer to food security will increase the productivity of land and increase the production of rice based on the SWOT analysis, then the realization of food security in Deli Serdang Regency. Keywords: availability of fertilizer subsidies, food security, SWOT

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the difference of Work Performance level and the difference of Work Satisfaction within employees who have different level of education in General Affair and Human Resources Division of Inalum Co, Ltd. Kuala Tanjung. The variables are work Performance, Work Satisfaction, and employee’s Level of Education. Was done to employees of General Affair and Human Resource Division of Inalum Co, Ltd. Kuala Tanjung and used Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling Method.   The primer data of this research’s got from questionnaires and interview and used Likert Scale in measuring method. The data’s analyzed statistically by using SPSS 14.0 for windows program such as Classic Assume Test, Homogenity of Varian Test, Analysis of Varian, and described the respondences’ perceptions in the questionnaires descriptively.            From the result of this research, We know the F distribution value of Work Performance variable is 1,913 points. It is lower than Ftable distribution value which means that there’s no significant difference of Work Performance within employees who have different Level of Education. Where as the F distribution value of Work Satisfaction variable is 16,484 points which is higher than Ftable distribution value. This means that there is difference of Work Satisfaction within employees who have different Level of Education. Keywords: Work Performance, Work Satisfaction, Level of Education

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan mengukur risiko produksi dan risiko pendapatan usahatani bawang merah di Kabupaten Bantul serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, dan  mengetahui perilaku petani terhadap risiko usahatani bawang merah di Kabupaten Bantul dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 60 petani bawang merah di Kabupaten Bantul. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengukur risiko produksi dan pendapatan menggunakan nilai koefisien variasi (CV), dan perilaku petani terhadap risiko menggunakan metode Moscardi dan de Janvry. Selanjutnya menggunakan analisis regresi Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku petani terhadap risiko usahatani bawang merah di Kabupaten Bantul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko produksi sebesar 0,8518 (85,18%) dan risiko pendapatan sebesar 1,2416 (124,16 %). Petani bawang merah di Kabupaten Bantul mayoritas memiliki perilaku menolak  risiko sebanyak 44 petani (73,33%) walaupun usahatani bawang merah berisiko. Umur petani, pendidikan, pendapatan usahatani bawang merah dan pendapatan luar usahatani bawang merah siginifikan dan mempengaruhi perilaku petani terhadap risiko. Kata Kunci: Bawang merah, Ordinary Least Square (OLS), perilaku terhadap risiko, risiko

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to determine the correlation of capital, age, land use, education level and number of dependents on poverty of farming communities in the study area, as well as determine the level of poverty of farming communities in the study area. The study was conducted in the Payung Village, Payung sub-district, Karo District, North Sumatra Province. The method used purposive sampling with 37 sample farmers household and rank-Spearman Corellation. The results showed that the factor of capital, land area and the number of dependents significantly correlated with the level of poverty of farmers, while age and education level did not correlate significantly. Based on the rice consumption in general is still relatively poor families and poor once.Keyword : Social Economic, poverty, farmers

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the amount of costs, income, and revenue from the cultivation and marketing of white oyster mushroom. The purposive sampling method was used for area determination. The sampling of white oyster mushroom farmers as respondents was carried out by census. Snowball technique was used for marketing institutions. The total respondents in this research were 34, consisting of 15 farmers, 5 collecting merchants, 4 retailers, and 10 end consumers. The analysis used was the cost analysis, revenue and income, marketing margin, farmer’s share and marketing efficiency. The results of this research are: the production cost in one peroid is Rp. 8.006.500; while farmer’s income is Rp. 16,588,800 per peroid; and the revenue received by the farmers is Rp. 8,880,900 per peroid. There are three types of marketing channels: Marketing Channel I, farmers directly sell to the consumers; Marketing Channel II, farmers sell via retailers, and subsequently continued toend consumers; Marketing Channel III, farmers sell to collecting merchants, and subsequently continued to retailers and end consumers. In Marketing Channel I, the farmers have a share value of 100%. In Marketing Channel II, the margin value is Rp. 2.100/kg, the total profit gained is Rp. 1.276/kg, with farmer’s share is 87.27%. Meanwhile, on Marketing Channel III, the margin value is Rp. 3.700/kg, with a profit gained of Rp. 2.086/kg, and the farmer’s share is 77.58%. The efficiency level in collecting merchants is 9.8%, and retailers at 4.5%. For efficiency level, the marketing of oyster mushroom through those three marketing channels is already efficient. Keywords: White Oyster Mushroom, Marketing Channels, Farmer’s Share, Marketing Efficiency

Abstract

Corn is a food that referred the most essential after rice in the lives of people in Indonesia. In addition to human consumption, corn is also an ingredient for the production of animal feed that was active when the noodles into agribusiness mover. However, the issue of development of maize production in Indonesia is still importing noodles and outside negeni to meet domestic needs. Factors Natural Resources (SDA) and the weather elements such as precipitation, air temperature and humidity play a role in influencing the level of productivity of maize.The purpose of the study was to determine the extent of precipitation , air temperature and humidity affect the productivity of maize in the district of Langkat. The benefit is as a source of information and economic development of the agricultural sector, to increase farmers' income and GDP corn Langkat through more effective management system den efficiently on natural resources , weather and climate.Rainfall is ideal for corn is between 100-200 mm per month with distnibusi evenly. Growth of corn plants so the response to sunlight and moisture content in the atmosphere . The combination of weather factors between rainfall, air temperature and humidity ideal will lead to increased productivity of maize over the maximum.Sources of data were taken and the Department of Agriculture Langkat , the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Langkat, Sampali Climatological Station and Office Center for Meteorology and Geophysics Region I Field. Processing methods with the computer program SPSS version 19 using analysis regeresi linear equations, test "F", test "t", the coefficient of determination R2 and significant . The analysis showed that rainfall , air temperature and humidity have a significant effect on the level of productivity of maize in the region Langkat. Abstract

Each company will always strive to be have human resources fully engaged to effort of produce high productivity and achieve those objectives. This study aimed to determine the effect of skills, wages, motivation and work environment on employee productivity PT.Industri Karet Nusantara, and to find out how much each of these factors can affect employee productivity. PT.Industri Karet Nusantara have 45 employees at the same time as the sample population in this study. Data was collected using methods questionnaire and subsequent observations, further descriptively analyze . The results showed that the skills, wages, motivation, and work environment has an influence on Productivity of employees at PT. Industri Karet Nusantara Medan. Contribution of these factors can affect the productivity of employees by 73,2% and 26,8%  influenced by other factors that are not revealed in this study. Keywords : Work produktivity, Skill, Motivation, Wages and Working environment

Abstract

Pengambangan karet di sekitar hulu dan hilir sekaligus di hadapkan pada maslaah kelangkaan tenaga kerja, terutama penyadap  dimana aktivitas nya menyerap  45-50% dari biaya produksi. Halini semakin berat pada perkebunan yang jauh dari pusat kota, dimana sarana dan prasarana akses terhadap pelayanan umum terbatas.Tujuan penilitian adalah untuk mendapatkan suatu modul strategi penanggulangan terhadap kelangkaan penyadap di perkebunan karet. Penilitian di lakukan di Sikijang,Riau. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan insrumen kuisioner pada 58 orang responden terpilih yan data nya di olah dengan Microsoft excel .Data sekunder di dapatkan dari BPS (badan pusat statistic), Dinas dirjen perkebunan, Deperindak, Depnaker,dan browsing website terkait. Variable yang di ukur  dikelompokkan dalam faktor faktor strategis internal dan eksternal yang di analisis melalui pendekatan SWOT, berdasarkan penilaian aspek kesejahteraan tenaga penyadap, ketersedian tenaga kerja, persaingan antar kebun/ industri, dan prefensi tenaga kerja yang menghasilakan tujuh alternative kebijakan strategis untuk meningkatkan daya tarik menjadi penyadap

Abstract

Sektor pertanian merupakan salah satu sektor penopang perekonomian di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Pada tahun 2018 dimana sektor pertanian (tanaman bahan pangan, perkebunan, kehutanan, peternakan dan perikanan) merupakan sektor yang menyumbang nilai tambah terbesar dalam Produk Domestik Regional Bruto di provinsi Sumatera Utara. yaitu sebesar 21,40 persen, diikuti dengan sektor industri pengolahan sebesar 20,29. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan sektor pertanian di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi Sumatera Utara dari tahun 1985-2018. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa tenaga kerja dan impor pertanian berpengaruh positif dan tidak nyata terhadap pertumbuhan sektor pertanian.  Sedangkan luas lahan pertanian, ekspor pertanian, dan investasi pertanian berpengaruh positif dan nyata terhadap pertumbuhan sektor pertanian. Bertambahnya luas lahan, ekspor dan investasi pertanian tentunya mempunyai pengaruh yang baik terhadap pertumbuhan sektor pertanian dari pada petani yang memiliki lahan sempit dan investasi rendah. Diharapkan pemerintah daerah dan pusat dapat menumbuhkan iklim investasi pertanian yang kondusif sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku.

Abstract

The  Development of  Sheep in  palm  oil plantations in Asahan Regency has a promising future  and comparative advantage with  DRCR > 1 ( Domestic Resources Cost Ratio ) as the standard of competitiveness. The  potential  supported by the available forage on palm plantations shows the ideal reproductive potential with  litter size of 1.56 . From feasibility analysis there are NPVpositif,  B / C ratio  is 1.8 and 21 % of  IRR > discount rate (12% ).The result  indicated  that  feasible to develop . To increase competitiveness can be done by keeping production and population (1) and the quality standards of at least 25 kg live weight(2) and also continuity of the availability of effort to keep the sheeps throughout the year (3) .  To increase competitiveness by exploring local resources to provide additional development and theory of competitiveness, according to sheep farm development oriented agribusiness  is sufficient for domestic demand and also to prepare for export market standards.  Keyword : Competitiveness, Livestock Sheep
