Arabic is a foreign language which is a compulsory subject in Madrasas, therefore learning Arabic is a superior program in madrasas which differentiates it from other public schools. Arabic language learning in Indonesia in particular is currently experiencing an increase, various innovations are starting to be made, one of which is developing teaching materials according to the needs of madrasa students. Developing teaching materials seems to be something that teachers must do in order to attract students' interest in learning Arabic. Some textbooks that are often used by schools are basically textbooks that originate from the Middle East. Even though there has been textbook development carried out by Arabic language teachers and developers, there are still very few who pay attention to students' needs in learning Arabic. The research will begin with coordination and interviews with the school principal to find out Arabic language learning achievements, who will then conduct interviews with teachers and students regarding their tendencies to learn Arabic, students' backgrounds and observations of the Arabic language learning tools used. Next, carry out a needs analysis as a basic material for developing Arabic teaching materials for Madrasah Al Birru Ponorogo students. The output of the research is in the form of scientific articles which will be published in reputable journals in the field of Arabic language education such as Al-Bayan, and so on.

In this modern era, society is at a pivotal juncture regarding how its personality develops. There are a significant number of researchers, academics, and figures who advocate for character-based education. Many arguments have been made that cultivating moral character is the only way to progress as a nation. Islamic scholars have established a paradigm for character education throughout the lengthy history of Islamic traditions. This article sheds light on the character education model in Islamic tradition and heritage. This model is best demonstrated by the growth of Hayy ibn Yaqdzan in the story written by Ibn Tufayl. This study is qualitative library research in education. The primary and secondary data are referred to in books, articles, and other publications. The collected data are analyzed using descriptive analysis. This research uncovers, first, character education in Hayy ibn Yaqdzan's story following the Qur'an and Hadith. Second, the characters in the story of Hayy ibn Yaqdzan are developed through purifying the soul and a deep love for the pursuit of knowledge. In the third place, a good character will be more driven by a deep passion for being close to the Creator.

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of internal quality assurance system (IQAS) in schools before and after the COVID-19 pandemic that highlight its effectiveness, challenges and implications, using a qualitative approach with a case study design. The data was obtained through FGD, interviews, observations, and document studies and analyzed using qualitative-interactive analysis. The source of data was the IQAS team in the 8 schools studied. The findings show the implementation of internal quality assurance system (IQAS) before the COVID-19 pandemic ran quite effectively, although not all school members had the same understanding of the IQAS. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, schools experienced many obstacles in adapting all school programs, both academic and non-academic, to emergency conditions. Because schools are required to switch to new patterns and learning processes very quickly, the implementation of IQAS cannot take place normally. The very significant change due to the COVID-19 Pandemic certainly raises many challenges faced by all schools to ensure that the learning process can continue even in very emergency conditions. One of the effective efforts made by schools is to strengthen cooperation through involving the community and parents to jointly participate actively in the implementation of learning during the COVID-19 period so that these challenges can be overcome in stages. The implication of implementing IQAS for the progress of schools is that parents and the community have more trust in school efforts in providing the best educational services for students and schools can easily solve their problems by implementing IQAS effectively.

The independent curriculum is a post-pandemic curriculum dream where the learning crisis is a multidimensional problem that cannot be solved by curriculum changes alone. The learning crisis can only be overcome by systemic changes. And that is what the Ministry of Education and Culture is now doing through a series of Merdeka Belajar policies in the independent curriculum. It has several principles, one of which was flexibility. This means that the school can implement this curriculum based on the environment. But this curriculum was very new when implemented by the teacher. The purpose of this study is to conceptually describe the Merdeka curriculum which is gradually implemented in MI Unggulan Nuris in grades 1 and 4 and will be implemented nationally in 2024. Descriptive qualitative research method of field research type is used as a research method. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research results, this curriculum can be applied in various fields. One teacher who prepared the independent curriculum attended training on curriculum for educational institutions. Based on interviews with teachers at Nuris Jember's madrasah ibtidaiyah, they responded enthusiastically to this curriculum although there are still shortcomings in its application. We hope that this implemented curriculum can achieve the goals in education in Indonesia.

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Montessori method in shaping children's character, focusing on the development of moral and Islamic values in children aged 3–6 years at Alifa Muslim Montessori Yogyakarta. A mixed-method approach with an exploratory sequential design was employed. The qualitative approach involved descriptive case studies through observation, interviews, and documentation, while the quantitative approach used questionnaires with Respondent Achievement Rate (TCR) and regression analysis. Findings indicate that the Montessori method plays a significant role in fostering focus, independence, and moral awareness among children. It also enhances their ability to internalize religious values through daily practices such as prayer, honesty, responsibility, and empathy. Quantitative results show that the effectiveness of the Montessori method is categorized as 'Good' for variable X (82%) and 'Very Good' for variable Y (88%). Regression analysis reveals that 47.7% of character formation is influenced by the Montessori method, while 52.3% is explained by other factors. Thus, the Montessori method is proven effective in supporting the holistic development of children's moral and religious character in early childhood education.
