Silogisme : Kajian Ilmu Matematika dan Pembelajarannya, adalah sebuah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (Unmuh Ponorogo) bekerjasama dengan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun (Juni dan Desember), berisikan enam sampai sepuluh artikel dan menerima artikel di bidang kajian ilmu matematika (pendidikan dan murni) dengan metodologi penelitian yang memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan untuk publikasi. Naskah artikel bisa berasal dari para peneliti, akademisi, praktisi, dan pemerhati bidang ilmu matematika.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is a class action research (CAR) with research subject of student of semester 3 of mathematics education of STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan. This study aims to determine the implementation of peer teaching method (peer tutoring) in the subjects of Kapita Selekta Mathematics for Junior High Schooll students of third semester of STKIP Muhammadiyah Kuningan to improve students' understanding of the lattice national test about the mathematics of junior high school. In the pre test the average score achieved was 59.17, the students understanding about the lattice about the mathematics of junior high school at the time of pre test of 66.67 including good criteria and 33.33% including enough criteria. In post test cycle I average value is 75,83, student understanding about lattice about mathematics of junior high school at post test cycle I as much 66,67 including criteria very good and 33,33% including good criterion. In post test cycle II average value is 75,83, student understanding about lattice about UN mathematics junior high school at post test cycle as much as 66,67 including criteria very good and 33,33% including good criterion. The average increase that occurred from pre-test to post-test cycle II that is equal to 16,67 or equal to 28,17%. Keyword: CAR, peer teaching, understanding math.

Abstract

Scaffolding is a learning strategy that is used in learning by providing assistance to taste to students based on the difficulties experienced by students. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of scaffolding strategies against the ability of mathematical understanding of grade III SD in Purwakarta. This research uses a quantitative approach with quasi experimental research methods and research designs The Nonequivalent Control Group Design with techniques of sampling Non Probability Sampling the sampling type is saturated. The object of this research is the whole grade 3 SD 2017/2018 school year with a total of 48 students (Male = 23, female = 25). Data collection techniques in the study using this type of test in the form of sheets of matter and types of the non test in the form of observation and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses the construction and validity testing of the validity of the content. The results showed there is the influence of the use of scaffolding strategies against the mathematical understanding of the capabilities of the students. This calculation results obtained from test-t with P-Value calculation results (Sig 2-tailed) for 0.000 which means less than 0.05 significant level. The earnings results of the pretest average score at 29.92 while IE experiment class results average value of experimental class posttest was 73.92. Then for obtaining the value of an average pretest classes control i.e. 30.96 while the average value of posttestnya was 55.17. The use of scaffolding strategies can be used by subsequent researchers to conduct research in the subject matter, having regard to the appropriations used and skills of teachers in the conditioning classes, to obtain maximum results.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there are differences in the increase in mathematical problem solving ability of students who get a cooperative learning model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR) and Reciprocal Learning types. This study was conducted in one of the Junior High School in Garut on pyramid and prism material. The population in the study were students of class VIII, and as many as two classes selected sample. The instrument used is test description of mathematical problem solving ability. This test instrument tests on another class who have studied the material pyramid and prism, the instrument is deemed to have qualified validity, reliability, distinguishing features, and level of difficulty. Data analysis was performed with data normality test, homogeneity test, t test, and test to determine the normalized gain increased ability students' mathematical understanding. From the results of the data analysis performed in this study can be concluded that there are no differences in the ability of solving mathematical students between experimental class one that uses a learning model Diskursus Multi Representasi (DMR) and experimental class two were using model Reciprocal Learning, which increase the ability of mathematical understanding of students from each class experimental group was included in the criteria Keywords: Mathematical Problem Solving, Discourse Multy Representation, Reciprocal Learning

Abstract

Self confidence in learning must be owned by students. However, the fact that happened to the students of semester 1 year 2016/2017 in Fondasi Matematika course still not maximal. Teori Bilangan is a course given to students of the second semester of mathematics education program at Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. The purpose of this research is to increase students' self confidence in the subject of Teori Bilangan using Two Stay Two Stray learning model. Thus it is expected that students will be more confident in learning in other subjects in Mathematics Education program. This classroom action research is conducted in two cycles. Results of data analysis before the implementation of the study is 18.52% of the overall students who have high confidence. After analyzing the final data of cycle 2, it is found that the percentage of students who do not have high confidence is 22.22%. The TSTS steps used to improve students' self-confidence is with the improvement effort in the form of lecturers providing assistance to groups that have difficulty in solving the LKM problem..

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the 8th grader students’ mistake while working on algebra, the causes of the mistake, and the appropriate process of scaffolding to help the student realize his mistake. The researcher gave the test about algebra to all students on class A and class B to select the subject. After the subjects’ answers were analyzed, they were given the scaffolding and interviewed. The researcher found that the errors students did are in understanding the meaning of variables, carrying out the procedure, and the solving linear equations of one variable. Commonly, students’ mistake were caused by a failure in relating the problems with previous material and the lack of mastering basic arithmetic. To help the subjects realizing their mistake, researcher gave scaffolding level 2, that is reviewing and restructuring.Keywords: error analysis, algebra, scaffolding

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas buku ajar matematika SMP berbasis 3-D untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester 2 SMP Negeri 37 Semarang tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Dengan teknik cluster random sampling dengan cara acak diambil dua kelas VIII yaitu kelas VIIIC sebagai kelas kontrol dengan model konvensional dan kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan buku ajar matematika SMP berbasis 3-D. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dikatakan efektif. Dalam kriteria efektif produk ditunjukkan dari prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dan meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Dari analisis menggunakan uji-t didapatkan thitung ttabel yaitu 5,250 1,6675, maka H0 ditolak artinya pembelajaran dengan menggunakan buku ajar matematika SMP berbasis 3-D lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar matematika SMP berbasis 3-D untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa ini efektif digunakan sebagai proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The aim of this research and development is to produce a students book characterized with open ended mathematics problem to build creative thinking. The specification of this students book lies in the given problem is loading open problems that can be completed providing with many answers. This research and development uses 4D model by Thiagarajan, et al. (1974), that is define, design, and develop. Instruments and RPP were also developed to support students book development. This students book has met the valid, practical, and effective criteria and can build students' creative thinking. This is demonstrated by more than 70% of students have met the minimal creative category, so that students' creative thinking has been awakened. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine in depth about student’s mathematics understanding ability influenced by self-confidence. The study was designed in the form of experiment using correlational method with quantitative appoach. The population in this research is junior high school student in Cimahi and the sample as many as 28 people determined by purposive sampling technique in one of junior high school in Cimahi. The instrument in the research is the test of mathematics understanding ability as much as 5 items and the scale of student’s self-confidence as much as 36 scale statment. Based on the results and discussion, it is concluded that the students’ mathematics understanding ability influenced positively by self-confidence equal to 74,6%, whilw 25,4% influenced by factors other than student self-confidence.

Abstract

In order for the presentation of the material presented by the teachers more effectively and efficiently. Therefore it needs media learning that can motivate and stimulate students to morale in learning. One of them is by making use of ICT-based learning or media that we often call it TIK. This research aims to describe how the implementation of ICT-based learning media in the process of learning mathematics inprimary school (elementary school). This research is a research library. the nature of this research is descriptive-i.e. decomposition analysis on a regular basis, then the whole concept of giving of the comprehension and explanation to taste the result description. The analysis of the data used in this study is the analysis of the content (content analysis). The results of the research study this library is; (1) the existence of the benefits of ICT-based learning media in the field of education; (2) the existence of the benefits of ICT-based learning media in the process of learning mathematics in primary school (elementary school).
