Abstract

Minangkabau custom and tradition has a sets of rules for women, so that they can maintain their privileges. One of the rules is called Sumbang Duo Baleh. However, today, the rules tend to be violated. This can be seen in the behavior of female students at school. This study aims to determine students' understanding of Sumbang Duo Baleh as a prohibition on behavior and character building, implementation of the culture of Minang women, and re-encouraging these rules at high school at West Sumatera. The research data was collected by observation, questionnaire and  interview to the teachers, The results of this study are as follows: (1) female students did not understand the rules of Sumbang Duo Balehas a prohibition in behaving. This is due to the generation that many women who have forgotten their identity as Minang women, (2) From the results of interviews with teachers, the character building of female students do not implement and socialize the rules existing in the traditional Tambo. To recultivate the understanding towards Sumbang Duo Baleh culture by socializing and implementing the ins and outs of the rules during learning process and extracurricular activities at school. AbstrakAdat Minangkabau menetapkan suatu aturan kepada perempuan, agar ia bisa menjaga keistimewaannya. Salah satu aturannya adalah sumbang duo baleh. Kenyataannya pada perempuan zaman sekarang, aturan perempuan Minang tersebut, cenderung dilanggar. Hal ini terlihat pada tingkah laku siswa perempuan di sekolah yang telah melanggar aturan budaya Minang yang dituangkan dalam sumbang duo baleh seperti : sumbang duduak, sumbang tagak, sumbang jalan, sumbang kato, sumbang caliak, sumbang makan, sumbang pakai, sumbang karajo, sumbang tanyo, sumbang jawek, sumbang bagaua, sumbang kurenah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan budaya Minang melalui sumbang duo baleh, dalam rangka pembentukan karakter perempuan Minang di sekolah menengah di Sumatera Barat. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus yang menghasilkan data deskriptif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi, angket melalui google form dan wawancara  dengan beberapa guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa :  (1) Ditemukan pelanggaran sumbang duo baleh pada siswa perempuan pada masing-masing tingkatan kelas dalam berperilaku seperti sumbang duduak, sumbang tagak, sumbang bagaua, sumbang kato,  sumbang karajo, sumbang caliak, sumbang makan , sumbang jalan. Hal ini disebabkan generasi perempuan banyak yang telah melupakan jati dirinya sebagai seorang perempuan Minang, (2) Dari hasil wawancara dengan guru, pembentukan karakter siswa perempuan minang tidak mencerminkan budaya perempuan Minang. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah banyaknya orang tua di rumah yang tidak menyampaikan lagi masalah aturan yang ada dalam tambo adat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk pembentukan karakter dan jati diri perempuan Minang diperlukan implementasi pemahaman sumbang duo baleh, dengan cara mensosialisasikan dan mengimplementasikan seluk beluk sumbang duo baleh pada saat PBM dan ekstrakurikuler.

Abstract

The conditions, expressions, a priori, and people's views about independence are expected to be reflected through communication and interaction between the community and the government on various social media platforms. However, there are few studies that examine various notions and a priori independence that have arisen in society. As a result, this study examines society's opinions (netizen) on independence as stated in their comments. The researcher classifies speech forms, implicatures, and reflections of independence to fully comprehend the meaning of each comment. Assertive, expressive, and directive speech were found to be the most frequently applied forms of speech. Implications can be seen in the form of satire in netizen comments.  57.7% of comments reflect those netizens also feel "independence", 10.4% do not feel "independence", and 31.9 are neutral with some indications. The findings of this study reveal that netizens' comments reflect the community's perception of "independence."AbstrakKomunikasi dan interaksi antara masyarakat dan pemerintah di berbagai platform media sosial dinyana merefleksikan kondisi, ekspresi, apriori, dan gagasan masyarakat tentang kemerdekaan. Namun, belum banyak ditemukan kajian yang membahas berbagai gagasan dan apriori kemerdekaan yang berkembang di masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, kajian ini menganalisis pandangan kemerdekaan masyarakat yang diekspresikan dalam kolom komentar media sosial Presiden Joko Widodo dan Wakil Presiden Ma’ruf Amin. Dalam memahami makna setiap komentar, penulis melakukan klasifikasi terhadap bentuk tuturan, implikatur, dan refleksi kemerdekaan. Refleksi kemerdekaan ditelaah berdasarkan makna semantis tuturan yang memenuhi definisi operasional kemerdekaan dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk tuturan yang paling banyak digunakan masyarakat dalam merefleksikan pandangan “kemerdekaan” mereka adalah asertif, ekspresif, dan direktif. Implikatur ditemukan dalam komentar berisi sindiran. 57,7% komentar mencerminkan masyarakat turut merasakan “kemerdekaan”, 10,4% tidak merasakan “kemerdekaan”, dan 31,9 netral dengan beberapa indikasi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komentar dapat merefleksikan gagasan atau keadaan “kemerdekaan” yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat.

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to know the students’ ability in reading comprehension of TOEFL test for the EFL Learners. This study was categorized as a descriptive quantitative research. This study was conducted at the eighth semester students of Hamzanwadi University. The population of this study was 144 students from 3 classes and the sampling method was purposive sampling. The sample of this study was 30 students. The research instrument used to collect data was reading comprehension of TOEFL test. The collected data were submitted to descriptive statistic by using SPSS 22 for windows. The mean score of the test was 4.17, it categorized into low. Based on that result, the EFL Learners did not have good ability in finding main ideas, references, and meaning of words on reading of TOEFL test. Meanwhile, the mean score in finding information was 7.2 and inference was 6.4. So, the EFL Learners did not have good ability in finding information and inference.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa dalam membaca pemahaman tes TOEFL untuk Peserta Didik EFL. Penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester delapan Universitas Hamzanwadi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 144 mahasiswa dari 3 kelas dan metode sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 30 mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah pemahaman membaca TOEFL. Data yang dikumpulkan diserahkan ke statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan SPSS 22 untuk windows. Skor rata-rata tes adalah 4,17, dimana dikategorikan ke rendah. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, Peserta Didik EFL tidak memiliki kemampuan yang baik dalam menemukan ide utama, referensi, dan makna kata pada tes pemahaman membaca TOEFL. Sementara itu, skor rata-rata dalam menemukan informasi adalah 7,2 dan kesimpulan adalah 6,4. Jadi, Peserta Didik EFL tidak memiliki kemampuan yang baik dalam menemukan informasi dan kesimpulan.

Abstract

Penurunan produktifitas bisnis pada semua sektor sebagai akibat pandemic covid-19 telah mendorong para pelaku bisnis untuk menetapkan berbagai strategi pengembangan bisnisnya. Kebijakan pembatasan aktivitas masyarakat diluar selama pandemic telah memberikan dampak negatif pada sektor bisnis kuliner dan salah satu industri yang terdampak yaitu The Mill Restaurant Bali. Ada banyak strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan penjualan produk bisnis kuliner dan salah satunya yang banyak dibahas yaitu strategi price bundling. Oleh karena itu, studi ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh sales promosi dengan cara price bundling terhadap keputusan pembelian pada masa pandemi covid 19 di Bali khususnya di The Mill Restaurant Bali. Metode analisis yang digunakan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel price bundling adalah dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan program statistik SPSS for windows versi 25. Hasil studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif price bundling terhadap keputusan pembelian pelanggan di The Mill Restaurant. Selain itu, price bundling hanya memberikan kontribusi sebesar 22,5% mendorong keputusan pembelian pelanggan. artinya, masih ada factor lain yang dimungkinkan mendorong keputusan pembelian produk restoran oleh para konsumen. Studi ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pelaku bisnis kuliner untuk menerapkan strategi price bundling dalam bisnis kulinernya.

Abstract

It is transitivity that every word has its function and reflect different experience. Transitivity system consists of participant, process, and circumstance. The transitivity system is applied in the short story by J.K Rowling. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the implementation of transitivity system accompanied by functions in each process found in each clause, so that the correct meaning can be obtained. Therefore, this research uses the Functional Grammar theory proposed by Halliday which discusses the function of the clause. The results show that there are 6 types of processes, namely material process, mental process, relational process, behavioral process, verbal process, and existential process, 14 types of participants, namely actor, target, goal, range, carrier, senser, attribute, token, value, phenomenon, behaver, sayer, subject, and existent, and 5 types of circumstances, namely circumstance of time, circumstance of place, circumstance of manner, circumstance of accommodation, and circumstance of cause. Based on the research results, the writer concludes that the author tends to use a material process that emphasizes the many activities carried out by participants. The activities carried out by participants are also supported by other processes. The processes contributed to the creation of a tense atmosphere among the two police officers and the two boys in reaction to the boys’ actions. Other thing that supports the occurrence of these processes is the existence of circumstance.

Abstract

This study focuses on the implementation of Social Welfare policies on social adaptation in the learning process of students with disabilities in the Sociology Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Efforts to fulfill accessibility have been carried out by the Difabel Service Center of UIN Sunan Kalijaga to make the learning process easier. However, these efforts do not deny that there are still obstacles for students with disabilities in participating in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative method. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The interviews involved 8 disabled students, 7 non-disabled students, and 4 lecturers. The results showed that there was an adaptation stage in the learning process of students with disabilities in the Sociology Study Program, namely 1) Honeymoon, students with disabilities felt happy when accepted at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, 2) Culture Shock, various obstacles appeared in the learning process, 3) Recovery, program students Sociology Studies with disabilities try to overcome obstacles and apply them continuously, 4) Adjustments, students with disabilities in the Sociology Study Program are getting used to the learning process at UIN Sunan Kalijaga.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia in early March 2021 brought significant changes to the national economy, including micro, small and medium enterprises. One of the policies carried out by the government to reduce the impact of the pandemic is by providing economic stimulus in the form of tax incentives for business actors. The social environment in the concept of taxation is that humans will see the surrounding environment which should understand taxation. Tax incentives and the social environment given to business actors will affect their tax compliance. This study aims to empirically examine the effect of tax incentives and the social environment on tax compliance. The population studied by SME in Padang City and the sampling method used in this study was purposive sampling. The samples obtained were 146 companies and the data collected were tested using multiple regression. The test results show that tax incentives and social environment have an effect on tax compliance.

Abstract

Salak is only used for the flesh of the fruit, for the peel and seeds of salak, it has not been widely developed into a product and only becomes waste. Consumption of peel is generally made in the form of extracts such as tea, where the peel is dried and then after drying it is mashed into powder and brewed using hot water. The use of hot water needs to attention to the temperature and brewing time because it can affect the amount of nutrient content in the peel tea. The temperature and brewing time affect the direct contact between water and the peel extract powder. The temperature used is 80,90,100 (oC) with a time of 5,7,10 (minutes). The analyzes carried out were analysis of raw material (moisture content), analysis of brewing quality, and chemical analysis (antioxidants, caffeine, tannins, and total sugar). The results showed that the best results were at 80oC for 10 minutes, the antioxidant content was 500.57 mg/ml, caffeine 0.65 mg/ml, tannins 1.35 mg/ml. The 80oC temperature treatment with a time of 7.5 minutes resulted in the highest total sugar content of 3.06%

Abstract

Skills and intelligence in adulthood are a series of developmental processes that children go through from an early age. In addition, the first five years of life are crucial for a child's further development. The future development of children is closely related to the environment in which children are raised. Therefore, a conducive environment is needed to form independent and quality children. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the parenting environment and the level of child development. The research design used a cross-sectional study, carried out in Betoambari District, Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi involving 90 mothers and children who were selected by purposive sampling from complete families and had children aged 4-5 years. Data was collected through interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively and multiple regression. The results showed that the quality of the parenting environment had an average index value that was included in the medium category. Most of the children's developmental levels are also in the moderate category. The parenting environment has a positive and real influence on the level of child development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), dan Total Assets Turnover (TATO) terhadap Pertumbuhan Laba. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian penjelasan (explanatory research) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahan manufaktur sub sektor rokok terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2013-2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, sehingga didapatkan sampel sejumlah 4 perusahaan dengan sampel observasi sebanyak 32. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel CR, DAR, DER, dan TATO secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan laba. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa DAR dan DER berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba, CR berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba, dan TATO berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba.
