Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of shell ash as an additive in concrete mixtures to improve the quality of concrete. The shells used in the research were the lokan and pensi species.  Shell ash is obtained through a burning process until it becomes powder and is crushed until smooth.  Addition of shell ash into the concrete mixture with percentage variations of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4% of the weight of the cement.  Concrete mix planning uses SNI 7656:2012 for a planned compressive strength at 28 days of 20 MPa.  Compressive strength testing was carried out at 28 days of concrete age to evaluate the effect of adding shell ash on the compressive strength of concrete.  The results of the study showed that the addition of up to 4% shell ash can increase the workability and compressive strength of concrete.  The addition of 3% of lokan shell ash produced a maximum compressive strength of 24.02 MPa, an increase of 15.70%.  Thus, shell ash has the potential to be used as an alternative additive in making concrete, especially the lokan species. Keywords: lokan shell ash, pensi shell ash, additives, concrete, compressive strength

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this study is to examine how political law impacts the enforcement of law in cases of religious defamation by public figures, with a particular focus on the Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) case. The research question is: does political law affect the enforcement of law in blasphemy cases involving public figures, as seen in Decision Number 1537/Pid.B/2016/PN.Jkt.Utr, This research employs a normative juridical approach, utilizing both legislative analysis and case studies. Data is gathered through literature reviews, and court decisions are analyzed qualitatively. Conclusions are drawn using deductive reasoning. The findings indicate that political law plays a significant role in influencing the law enforcement process and outcomes in the Ahok case. Despite the existence of substantive laws in Law No. 1/PNPS/1965 and Article 156a of the Criminal Code, the study reveals that public pressure and political dynamics have impacted the legal proceedings. This reflects a discrepancy between the ideal legal framework (das sollen) and its actual implementation (das sein) in Indonesian legal practice. Keywords: Legal Politics, Blasphemy, Public Figures.

Abstract

The Concrete technology innovation is always required to answer the challenges of the need for the resulting concrete to be of high quality including strength and durability without ignoring economic value. One of the additional materials can be using pumice for fine aggregate. In such conditions, it is possible that the need for quality fine aggregates will be difficult to fulfill. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of variations in the use of sea sand on the compressive strength of concrete. This research is experimental in nature and was carried out in the Civil Engineering laboratory of the Padang Institute of Technology (ITP). Standard regulations for concrete mixing specifications use SNI 7656-2012 which concerns "procedures for selecting mixtures for normal concrete, heavy concrete and mass concrete".  Therefore, this research aims to determine the effect of using beach sand as a substitute for river sand on the compressive strength of concrete. In this research, the additional material used was Mentawai beach sand with percentages of 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% at 28 days with 3 samples for each percentage. The test object used was a steel cylinder with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm. The quality of the concrete used is fc' 20.75 Mpa. The research results showed that the compressive strength value of the concrete in the Trial Mix was 35.52 MPa, while at 28 days of concrete age, the compressive strength value reached 22.21 MPa, in accordance with the planned target of 20.75 MPa. Meanwhile, with a 20% variation, the compressive strength value was 19.73 MPa, and experienced a decrease of 11.16% compared to normal concrete. With a 40% variation, the compressive strength value was 18.11 MPa and decreased by 18.46% compared to normal concrete. At 60% variation, the compressive strength value was 16.75 MPa and decreased by 24.58% compared to normal concrete. At 80% variation, the concrete compressive strength value was 13.98 MPa and decreased by 37.05%. Keywords: Concrete, Beach sand, Compressive strength.

Abstract

Abstract: Nutrition is a process of using food that is consumed normally through the processes of digestion, absorption, transportation, storage, metabolism and excretion of unused substances to maintain life, growth and normal function of organs and produce energy.  Improper feeding will disrupt the nutritional status and health of the baby. At the age of 0-6 months, babies should only be given exclusive breast milk (ASI). However, starting from the age of 6-12 months, babies no longer get sufficient nutritional intake from breast milk alone, so they must be given complementary foods (MPASI) gradually from liquid food to solid food. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of stunting prevention classes on mothers' knowledge regarding nutritional needs for babies aged 6-12 months in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center working area. This research uses a quantitative approach, the method used in this research is quasi experiment. The sample in this study was 89 respondents. The method for determining the sample is cluster sampling. The data collection tool is a questionnaire and data analysis uses Chi-Square with ???? = 0.05. The results of this study show that there is an influence of stunting prevention classes on mothers' knowledge about fulfilling nutritional requirements for babies aged 6-12 months (Pvalue 0.000). stunting incidence rate. Keywords: Class, Stunting, Knowledge, Nutrition
