Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of religious character and independence in Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) learning in Grade VII at SMP Negeri 37 Medan. Education in Indonesia aims to shape the younger generation with moral values, ethics, and social responsibility. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that strengthening religious character is carried out through the integration of religious values in Civics Education (PPKn) materials, the habit of praying before and after lessons, and teachers serving as role models in their behavior. Meanwhile, the reinforcement of independence is achieved through discussion-based learning methods, case studies, and individual assignments that encourage students to think critically and make their own decisions.Supporting factors for character development include the role of teachers, school environment support, and student involvement in religious extracurricular activities. However, several challenges exist, such as students' lack of awareness, external environmental influences, and limited family support. Keywords: Character reinforcement, religious values independence Civics Education

Abstract

Cervical Cancer Cases in Indonesia in 2021 were 36,633 cases and were the second highest cause of death in women. Cervical cancer can be prevented in an easy and painless way, namely Pap Smear screening, which has a specificity of 91%. Pap Smear is an early detection of cervical cancer by taking fluid from the vagina to see abnormalities in cells around the cervix. Unfortunately, many women do not want to do Pap Smear, so the incidence of cervical cancer is high and when diagnosed, it immediately falls into a late and advanced stage. Data shows that the incidence of cervical cancer in people over 65 years of age is around 20%, and of all ages, the highest is in the 35-55 years of age. Fear, shame, and other factors cause the Pap Smear Screening coverage rate to be quite low. This study aims to determine what factors influence the interest of premenopausal women to do Pap Smear screening.  Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that health information factors, knowledge level, and husband's role have a significant effect on the interest of premenopausal women in undergoing Pap Smear screening in the work area of Rumbai Health Center, Pekanbaru City. Meanwhile, economic level and education level factors did not show a statistically significant effect. It is recommended that health workers further improve health promotion regarding the importance of Pap Smear screening with methods that are more effective and easily understood by the community, especially those with low levels of education. There needs to be involvement of husbands in reproductive health education programs so that they can provide positive support to their wives. Further research with a wider scope and more diverse variables can be conducted to deepen understanding of the factors that influence interest in Pap Smear screening. Keywords   : Pap Smear, Cervical Cancer, Interest, Premenopause

Abstract

Anemia is a condition in which the level of hemoglobin (Hb) in the body is below normal according to certain groups of people. Based on data obtained from the Sinama Grand Health Center, where the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in 2020 was recorded 29 cases with a target of 581 pregnant women, while in 2021 the incidence of anemia has increased to 31 cases with a target of 532 pregnant women. The research objective was to determine the effectiveness of consumption of date palm juice (phoenix dactilifera) on increasing HB levels in third trimester pregnant women at the Sinama Grand Health Center. This type of research is quantitative and quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. The population is pregnant women and a sample of 12 people, with Total Sampling. The research instruments were observation sheets, pathographs and date juice. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate. The univariate results showed that pregnant women in the third trimester before being given date palm juice experienced anemia with HB levels in the moderate anemia category, namely 100% and after being given date juice, HB levels showed no anemia, namely 91.7%. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed the effectiveness of date palm juice on increasing HB levels in pregnant women, with a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. It is hoped that the Sinama Grand Health Center can improve services, especially in the field of care for pregnant women to increase HB levels for pregnant women. Keywords: Dates Juice, Anemia, Pregnant Women
