Abstract

Aims: To analyze the relationship between fine motor skill and the use of gadget in pre school age children. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design. Sampling technique using quota sampling and the sample in this study amounted to 82 pre school age children in  Purwanegara, Banyumas on March-April 2022. The adopted questionnaire used to be measured use of gadgets application and abilities acceptable fine motor be measured using Denver II. Data analyzed univariate and bivariate using Gamma Test. Results: The univariate analysis showed that there were eight respondents (9.8%) with gadgets application in the category low, 13 respondents (15.9%) moderate, and 61 respondents (74.4%) high. Denver II results showed fine motor as much as one respondent (1.2%) in category advance, 24 respondents (29.3%) caution, 56 respondents (68.3%) delayed, and one respondent (1.2%) normal. The Gamma test showed a relationship between fine motor skill and the use of gadget  in pre school age children with a p-value = 0,005 (p value<0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between fine motor Skill and the use of gadget. Based on these results, periodic developmental screening and nursing interventions are needed to address fine motoric disorders in preschool-aged children who use gadgets, and it is expected that parents will limit the use of gadgets.

Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to determine the effect of providing support programs to family caregivers on the quality of care for the elderly with chronic diseases in Pandansari Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency. Methods: The study used a pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest research design approach in 7 weeks from July-September 2022. The total sample size was 50 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The selected sample must fulfill criteria’s, includes: 1) an informal caregiver who lives with the elderly, 2) takes care of the elderly with chronic diseases, and 3) not suffering from chronic diseases itself. The WHO-QOL BREF questionnaire was used to collect data on the quality of life before and after the provision of support programs. Analysis includes univariate and bivariate. Bivariate using the Wilcoxon test. Results: In this study, the caregivers are all women (100%) and most of the elderly are women (60.0%), the chronic diseases are Hypertension 66% and Gout Arthritis 34%. The results of this study indicate a significant effect of providing family caregiver support programs on the quality of care for the elderly with chronic diseases based on the quality of life indicators (p: 0.0001). Conclusion: Family support programs influence the quality of care in terms of improving the quality of life of the elderly. Discussion: In caring for the elderly with chronic diseases, family caregivers can take advantage of family support programs. Furthermore, this research is expected to provide insights and ideas for further research especially the development of support programs for caregivers of families with other chronic diseases.

Abstract

Aim: The global vaccine refusal movement continues to exist. Indonesia has implemented a vaccination program to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in order to minimize transmission rates, fatality rates, break the chain, and acquire herd immunity. The Study Live Method is a hybrid method of offline merging as if online, when live zooming by employing additional Open Broadcaster software (OBS) to create running text. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of online teaching via the Study Live Method in reducing COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. Methods: The research method is a quasi-experimental design with a pre- and post-testing strategy and a control design. The population of Bekasi Municipality is 48 individuals. The sample approach utilized a method of purposive sampling and analysis was used an  independent t test. Result: the average age of respondents in the intervention group is 41.71 with the youngest respondent age 18 years and the oldest 71 years old, while in the control group, the youngest respondent age 21 years old and the oldest 60 years old. The results demonstrated that in the intervention was significantly effective in reducing COVID-19 vaccine hesitatece group (p value 0.05). Conclusion: It is advised that the general population get digital health education in the context of introducing renewable technology and continuously integrated and integrated implementation in order to lessen the reluctance of the COVID-19 vaccination to boost herd immunity.

Abstract

Aim: Violent behavior is a feeling of anger, annoyance, emotion, or disappointment that arises and is characterized by a clenched hand, bulging eyes, glaring, loud, and harshly talk that can result in dangerous actions for himself and others, and the environment. Violent behavior can be caused by various factors, both internal and external. One way to deal with violent behavior is by implementing assertive training. Assertive training is an effort to express anger well so that patients can express their annoyance well, ask for help and apologize well. Method: The case study research design involved four subjects chosen based on established inclusion criteria to obtain an overview of the implementation of assertive exercises in increasing the ability to express anger in patients with violent behavior. Result: The main intervention in this paper is the application of assertive exercises for two subjects. After the intervention was carried out three times a day in five days, the result was an increase in ability in assertive training and in expressing anger in patients with violent behavior who implement assertive training. Two patients who did not implement assertive training still had difficulty controlling their anger properly. Conclusion: This case study concludes that assertive training can increase the ability of angry expressions well, such as expressing annoyance well, asking for help well, and rejecting well.

Abstract

Background: Honey known as wound healer, but the use of honey for diabetes population is lack. Scientific studies needed to provide enough evidence to justify the benefits of honey for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. Aims: To identify the benefit of honey as healing diabetic foot ulcer. Methods: The author was used PICO question as the first step of this study, then the second step was searching the articles from several databases. The inclusion and exclusion criterias were using only honey as a diabetic foot treatment on human, randomized control trial study or quasy experimental study, published less than 10 years ago (2009 – 2019), available in English and provide full text. Meanwhile, for the exclusion criteria were literature review, systematic review or meta-analysis study, using honey as a treatment to animal such as rat and rabbit, combine honey with another treatment. By using PRISMA guideline, researchers were systematically review several articles from 4 databases. Results: After conducted search strategy by using Boolean search strategy, 4 articles were included. The articles used different types of honey and the population ranged from 8 to 63 peoples. According to the results, majority of study showed honey is effective as wound healer and safe Conclusion:  Honey wound dressing is an option for managing diabetic foot Recommendation: As a nurse, we can offer the honey as an effective treatment or intervention tools for targeted patients or populations

Abstract

Aims : Gynecological cancer is a group of diseases that develop and attack the female reproductive organs. There are many psychological problems due to the disease, such as anxiety, stress, helplessness, so that they need social support. Objective: to analyze the impact of social support for gynecologic cancer patients, Material and Methods: the research used in this literature study was research that included the inclusion criteria that were made and the databases used, namely the wiley online library, EBSCO, Clinical key, and Google Scholar, Proquest. The keywords used were "gynecological cancer”, “ psychological problems” and” social support”. Results : 229 research results have been found. and those that fit the inclusion criteria totaled six articles. The six articles resulted in findings that social support from family, friends and significant others greatly influences the psychosocial impact of patients reducing depression and increasing acceptance of cancer, having good coping mechanisms in dealing with stress, increasing quality of life and reducing anxiety levels, the patient's fighting spirit in dealing with cancer and increase patient motivation for treatment. One article describes the impact that the absence of support can lead to feelings of loneliness and loss of hope Conclusion: Social support from family, friends and meaningful people is very useful to help the healing process of gynecological cancer patients

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescent students drop out of school due to sexual behavior. They are depressed and pregnant. The level and risk factors of sexual behavior in Purwokerto are not comprehensively known. Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the level and risk factors of sexual behavior. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method approach. This type of research is a survey. A survey using the questionnaire that has been statistically tested. Respondents were selected by simple random sampling from April to August 2022 in Purwokerto-Indonesia. Researchers have conducted screening to select adolescents who have risky sexual behavior. A number of 41 adolescents are included in high risk. The data analysis used was descriptive statistics. The data are presented in a frequency distribution table.  Result: These risk factors come from individuals, peers, family, and the environment. Risk factors that have been found in this study include lack of knowledge (17%), dating behavior (66%), the negative influence of peers (78%), disharmonious family (32%), lack of attention from parents (56%), a victim of divorce (7%), free environment (68%), the negative influence of social media (61%), and negative values and beliefs (54%). The highest risk factor is peers (78%). Conclusion: All risk factors significantly affect adolescent sexual behavior. Peers was the factor which most highly influence sexual behavior. Therefore, adolescents should have assertive abilities so they are not easily influenced.

Abstract

Aim: Antiretroviral is the main key to improving the quality of life and among ways to prevent the transmission of diseases due to HIV. In the use of drugs in the long term, psychosocial problems that arise often become barriers to patient adherence. This paper aims to show various forms of application and see the benefits derived from the use of mobile health (m-Health) in increasing the adherence of HIV positive patients. Method: The method used is a review of journals from Pubmed published no more than the last five years about the use of mobile health in those infected with HIV. Result: The result is that all existing articles provide explanations about the application of mobile health and positive result in supporting adherence, but there is a note regarding the consideration of its implementation goals and the services provided as well as the retention rate after using after several time. Conclusion: The conclusion is that mobile health provides benefits to increase adherence and help overcome the patient’s psychosocial problems.

Abstract

Aim: Since Sars-CoV-2, a new strain of the coronavirus, has become a global pandemic, we need to take precautionary measures and establish health procedures. The study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and mothers' attitudes regarding the application of health protocols for early childhood during the Covid-19 pandemic at Majalengka Regency. Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted in 2021 with a sample size of 51 mother-and-child pairs from kindergartens in the Majalengka Regency of West Java. Knowledge and attitude measurement using good validity and reliability reported questionnaires. Result: The results of the mother's knowledge were good, namely 82.4%, while the level of knowledge was sufficient at 17.6%. The results of the mother's attitude supported 56.9% and did not support 43.1%. The cross-tabulation results obtained a p-value of 0.714, which is greater than 0.05, meaning there is no relationship between knowledge and mothers' attitudes about the application of health protocols in early childhood. Conclusion: Based on the study result, family members and nurses in public health centers can increase counseling regarding health protocols for early childhood mothers. They need to work with health workers or local health agencies to counsel and motivate mothers to increase attitudes toward implementing health protocols in early childhood during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Aims: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a sexually transmitted virus that can lead to various diseases, most known as cervical cancer’s etiology. HPV vaccination is one of the primary prevention strategies to reduce HPV transmission. To increase vaccination rates, it is essential that women have a good knowledge of receiving the HPV vaccine. The purpose of the study was to explore the knowledge of HPV vaccination among Indonesian women. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 462 Indonesian women recruited by convenience sampling on March to May 2022.  The adapted questionnaire of knowledge with 28 items was used with Cronbach's Alpha score estimated at 0.838. Women who are 15 to 49 years old, able to understand and speak the Indonesian language, and have a gadget were included in this study. Women who already get HPV vaccination are excluded.  Univariate statistics were used to describe Indonesian women’s knowledge of HPV Vaccination. Results: The research shown that the mean age of the respondents is 23.17± 5.065. Half of the respondent level of education is college as many as 245 people (53%). Half of the respondents are employed as many as 239 people (51.7%). The average knowledge is 16.02 with a standard deviation (SD) of 6.43, the knowledge value indicates less knowledge of HPV vaccination among women. In the item analysis, found that most respondents answer incorrectly to the question “HPV testing is done to show whether the HPV vaccine is needed?" (4.3%). Most of the respondents shown did not know answered the question "HPV vaccine requires three doses" (59.3%). Most of the reasons for refusing to be vaccinated answered that the price of the vaccine was not affordable (45.5%). Conclusion: Women’s knowledge of the HPV vaccine was nearly low in this study. The campaign and effort to spread the information related to HPV vaccination are needed.  Innovative media might be the best option to spread awareness. Studies with a large sample and broad range of area are preferable.
