Abstract

Aims : the study aimed to determine the correlation between waiting time and patient satisfaction at the Surgical Polyclinic of the Outpatient Installation at Bekasi District Hospital. Methods : Time spent waiting serves as the independent variable in this cross-sectional study, with patient satisfaction serving as the dependent variable. Forty participants were surveyed using questionnaires as the major source of information in July 2022. Results : The analysis reveals that P =.000 (P Value.05) is derived from a Chi Square test of association between waiting time factors and patient satisfaction. Patient happiness seems to correlate with how long they have to wait before being seen. Strengthen time management skills to ensure that medical care is delivered on time and with the highest possible quality. Conclusions : The research find a significant correlation between patient satisfaction and waiting time in the Surgical Polyclinic at Bekasi District Hospital, suggesting the need for improved time discipline and more responsive medical personnel.

Abstract

Aims : this study was to analyze the difference of median pain of IUD insertion in hypnoanasthesia group and IUD mounting standard group, to analyze the difference of pain reduction scores of IUD insinuation on hypnoanasthesia group and IUD mounting standard group and to analyze hypnoanasthesia relationship with degree of pain in the installation of Intrauterine Device (IUD). Research : research design used quasi experimental approach with two group post test only with control group design. Analysis of results using Mann-Whitney and Chi-Square test. Results : result of the research shows that there is difference of pain score of hypnoanasthesia group that is median value 4 and standard group of IUD insertion with median value 5 and obtained p value <0.001. There was a difference of pain reduction score in the hypnoanasthesia group of 60% and in the standard group of 33.3% with p = 0.002. There is a correlation of hypnoanasthesia with degree of pain in IUD insertion with p value = 0.005. Conclusions : the hypnosis method emphasizes the emergence of positive suggestion, calm feeling, and relaxation that make it comfortable. When the condition is calm and relaxed, the brain will automatically release the hormone endorphins that reduce pain and give a sense of comfort and relaxation.

Methods : A cross-sectional study was conducted in senior high school students in Depok, West Java, among teenagers aged 15-18 years. The Social Media Addiction Scale-Student Form (SMAS-SF) Questionnaire scale, the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS), and the Social Media and Academic Performance of Students (SMAAPOS) were the scales employed. Results : The mean age of the 200 adolescents in the intervention group was 16.37 (SD+2.55), with 60% being male. With an average score of 88.43 (SD=24.53), respondents demonstrated a moderate level of social media dependency. The respondents' mental health score dropped from 21.37.78 to 90.2137.24, and their academic performance was mediocre. Social media dependency (r=0.241) and sadness (r=0.405) were found to be substantially related to academic performance. Conclusions : correlation between social media addiction and mental health problems (r=0.334) was discovered. Supportive social environments and social networks, as well as improved emotional regulation and resilience in the face of stress and adversity, are central goals of interventions for the promotion and prevention of mental illness.

Methods : This study, conducted in Depok, Indonesia, aimed to assess postpartum depression knowledge among women with single deliveries, postpartum days 10-3 months, and normal babies, using the PoDLiS test and Beck Depression Inventory II. Results : The Pearson correlation coefficient was utilized to examine the relationship between postpartum literacy and postpartum depression in women. This study included about 310 women. The average age was 31.56 years (with a standard deviation of 5.37 years). Postpartum literacy was found to be linked with postpartum depression (r=0.453, p0.05). Conclusions : Postpartum depression was linked to postpartum literacy. All women attending postnatal clinics should be subjected to simple screening measures early in the postpartum period, and this should continue for at least a year or two after birth.

Abstract

Aims : the study aimed to test the effectiveness of the zilgrei methode in primigravida mother with second stage labor of long second stage, incidence laceration, infant condition and the scale pain of labor. Methods : The study used a queasy experimental design with a control group, collecting primary data through observation, partographs, APGAR score, and pain scale assessment for 6 months. Result : The result of the bivariate test shows that the mean comparison of the long second stage was different between the two groups (p-value 0,001). No significant difference in the proportion of the incidence laceration (p= 0.370), APGAR score at first, fifth, and ten minutes (p>0.005). There was a significant comparison of pain scale between a group with and without Zilgrei Method (p=0.000). Conclusions : Based on the results of this study Zilgrei method can be applied as an alternative non-pharmacological method to shorten the second stage and reduce pain on labor. For further research, it is necessary to consider controlling the weight of a born baby and maternal risk factors to determine the effect of applying the Zilgrei method optimally to the laceration of the birth canal and the condition of the baby at birth.

Abstract

Aims: This case report aimed to identify gaps in applying the Nursing Standard Guidelines of the Indonesian Association in critical care, specifically focusing on patients with septic shock. Methods: This study used a case report with a nursing care approach that includes an assessment to evaluation. Nursing care was provided to a patient who was experiencing septic shock, was on a ventilator, and had experienced organ failure. Results: A 63-year-old man on mechanical ventilator was diagnosed with septic shock caused by community-acquired pneumonia. The nursing diagnoses for this case included impaired spontaneous ventilation related to respiratory muscle weakness, ineffective airway clearance related to the accumulation of secretions, peripheral tissue perfusion disorders related to changes in fluid regulation, and risk of infection. The study identified inappropriate nursing diagnoses, such as 'impaired spontaneous ventilation for patients on mechanical ventilation. Conclusion: This study concludes that there are still several gaps in diagnosing and managing clinical conditions in critical cases. The nursing problem of impaired spontaneous ventilation should not have been identified as the patient was already on a ventilator. Additionally, there was no actual diagnosis for impaired organ perfusion or infection. This case report recommends further developing the Nursing Standard Guidelines of the Indonesian Nursing Association to optimize coverage of critical care. Recommendations include revising the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards to align with critical care needs. This enhancement will help nurses and clinicians in critical care not experience confusion when applying the current guidelines.
