Abstract

Aims: This research aims to examine the impact of cognitive behaviour therapy with Roy's adaptation approach on increasing adolescent self-esteem in the Special Development Institute for Children Class 1 Martapura. Methods: This research employed a Quasi-Experimental Pre-Post Test with Control Group design. The sample size consisted of 30 respondents, divided into 15 in the treatment group and 15 in the control group, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument utilized to measure self-esteem was the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Results: The outcomes revealed a significant increase in adolescent self-esteem before and after receiving cognitive behavior therapy with the Roy adaptation approach in the treatment group, with a p-value of 0.014 < 0.05. This indicates that there is a positive effect of administering cognitive behavior therapy with the Roy adaptation approach on adolescent self-esteem at the Class 1 Martapura Children's Special Development Institute. Conversely, the control group experienced a decline in self-esteem during the post-test measurement. Conclusion: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Roy's adaptation theory approach conducted in 3 sessions is able to improve the self-esteem of adolescents who are in the Class 1 Martapura Children's Special Development Institute.

Abstract

Aims: Electronic medical records (EMRs) are information systems used to store and manage patients' medical information electronically. Despite being a well-established technology, their implementation often faces resistance, particularly in terms of users' readiness to adapt to new technologies. This study aims to evaluate the acceptance of EMRs among healthcare professionals in the inpatient installation of RSUD Tegal. Methods: The study employed a Quantitative Pre-Experimental method with a One group Pre-test Post-test experimental design. It assessed changes or differences in user acceptance by examining attitudes and behavioral intentions of users before and after learning through video-based instruction. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires were used for data collection. Results: Data analysis revealed an Asymp.Sig. value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that Ho (the null hypothesis) is rejected, suggesting a difference in the average results of the Pre-test on the six variables related to user acceptance of EMRs. Similarly, the Friedman Test Post-test yielded an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.000, also less than 0.05. This further supports the rejection of Ho, indicating a difference in the average results of the six variables. Additionally, the influence of video-based learning on behavioral intentions to use EMRs was determined with a Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, resulting in an Asymp.sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Conclusion: The study found that there is an increase in behavioral intentions to use EMRs after learning through video-based methods.

Abstract

Aims: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of five-finger relaxation technique on anxiety and stress in hemorrhagic stroke patients at Cimacan Hospital. Methods: This study used quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Sample collection using purposive sampling. The sample was 40 people and divided into two groups with 20 people each for the intervention group and control group. Data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test. Results: The results showed that after the five-finger relaxation technique was performed on the intervention group, there was a decrease in anxiety levels (p = 0.000) and stress (p = 0.000) in stroke patients, while in the control group there was a decrease in anxiety (p = 0.000) and stress (p = 0.000), and there was a difference between anxiety levels (p = 0.000) and stress (p = 0.000) in the intervention and control groups. Conclusion: There is an effect of five-finger relaxation technique on anxiety and stress in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients, and there are differences in anxiety and stress in the control and intervention groups. It is hoped that this five-finger relaxation technique can be used as an evidence base nursing on non-pharmacological treatment as a form of independent nursing intervention by a nurse in providing nursing care to help in the process of reducing anxiety and stress in stroke patients.

Methods: This research uses quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at the Islamic Centre Binbaz Elementary High School. The sample consisted of 50 respondents using the total sampling techniques. The instruments used were the social support questionnaire of parents and the preparedness for menarche. Bivariate analysis used the Spearman rho test. Result: Parental support for menstruation in the negative category of 31 people (62%) and preparedness for menarche in female adolescents is as high as 35 people (70%). There is a relationship between social support of parents with menarche readiness with a p-value of 0.024 and a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.320. Discussions: In reproductive health, especially regarding menarche, parents are expected to communicate better with their children about puberty issues, because it helps ensure healthy child sexuality. Focusing on building communication between parents and children, is an effective strategy for increasing overall support for children's health. Parental support in preparing children for menarche includes being an educator who provides complete and correct information about menstruation, maintaining hygiene during menstruation, and both physical and mental support when facing menarche. Conclusion: This research indicates a relationship between parental social support and readiness for menarche in adolescents, with a weak correlation level and a positive correlation. This means that adolescents who have high parental support have a higher preparedness for menarche.
