Abstract

Aims: Quality of health services refers to the level of perfection provided by a hospital, and poor service quality can lead to dissatisfied patients and decreased patient visits. This study was to analyze the relationship between service quality and satisfaction of inpatients at RH Purwakarta Hospital. Methods: The research approach included a cross-sectional study, incorporating factors such as service quality (including characteristics of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence) and satisfaction. The research sample consisted of 99 inpatients from RH Purwakarta Hospital, selected using an incidental sampling technique. A questionnaire was utilized as the instrument. The analysis employed the chi-square test with a significance threshold of 95%. It involved paramedical professionals and other personnel, as mentioned by Aryanti et al. (2022). Results: The results of the analysis indicate that the contentment of inpatients at RH Purwakarta Hospital is correlated with the quality of health services (pvalue= 0,0001). Therefore, it is possible to infer that an individual's satisfaction with the quality of service will be influenced by their interest in receiving treatment at that particular service location in the future. Conclusions: Research indicates that service quality significantly impacts patient satisfaction, highlighting the need for RH Purwakarta hospital to enhance service standards to boost patient visits and loyalty.

Abstract

Aims: Stroke is the second leading cause of death and disability globally, characterized by sudden neurological deficits. Pressure ulcers, caused by prolonged bed rest, can be managed non-pharmacologically through immobilization and routine tilting to prevent decubitus. To compare the effectiveness of the lateral position with an inclination of 30 and 90 degrees on the risk of decubitus in stroke patients, in this study the control group was tilted 90 degrees and the intervention group was tilted 30 degrees. Method: The sampling method is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling, a sample of 22 patients. Results: Data analysis using Reapeted Measurement Anova resulted in a value in the experimental group resulting in a sum of square value of 24.9, f value 14.3, P < 0.001, while in the control group a sum of square value of 76.5, f value 26.8, P < 0.001 was obtained, so it can be concluded that the lateral position with an inclination of 90 degrees and 30 degrees has the same effect, namely providing a significant influence on reducing the risk of decubitus. Conclusions: The study reveals that stroke patients aged 56-65 have a higher risk of pressure ulcers, with low-weight patients at higher risk. Early lateral position intervention and nutrition can significantly reduce the risk of decubitus, highlighting the importance of early wound healing.

Abstract

Aims: Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is a neurological sensorimotor disorder that causes a person to feel the need to move their lower extremities due to uncomfortable sensations. This condition can be monitored to minimize and cure the symptoms. One of the monitoring instrument is The Self-administered version of The International Restless Legs Syndrome Rating Scale (sIRLS). In Indonesia, the sIRLS instrument has not been culturally adapted. This research aims to translate and to test the content validity the Indonesian version of the sIRLS, so that it can further contribute to subsequent psychometric research on this instrument. Methods: The sIRLS were translated through forward translation, synthesized translation, back-translation, synthesized back-translation, and expert committee by five translators and three expert judges. Content validity was tested through CVR, I-CVI, and S-CVI for the essentiality, relevancy, and clarity of each item. Results: The first validity test showed a significant value for essentiality and relevancy of all the items (1,00). However the first test showed an insignificant value for the clarity of the seven items (0,33 and 0,66). Therefore the researcher should revise the seven items based on the suggestions from the expert judges and then carry out a second content validity test. Consequently, the final values of the CVR, I-CVI, and S-CVI showed significant values (1,00) for the essentiality, relevancy, and clarity. Discussions: Many Adaptation and modification on a few terms were required to achieve both meaning and cultural equivalence and also to facilitate understanding of the respondents. Conclusion: The Indonesian Version of self-administered version of The International Restless Legs Syndrome Rating Scale (sIRLS) is validly reviewed from the essentiality, relevancy, and clarity of the items.
