The background of this research is based on today problems of TVRI station bothintegral and influence quality programs.The aim of the research is to know whatTVRI strategiesto upgrade the quality which has locality content function in the Tepo Tulodho programs.Thisresearch use qualitative descriptive method to dig up the empirical phenomenon in TVRI,Central Java.In addition,there are three sources: informant,document,and book.To completethe data, this research uses observation, interview, and documentation.The research resultsshowed thatTVRI used dynamic pattern in strategy program. Program production was moredominate than acquisition. Supervision and program evaluation applied by Evaluation MeetingPress. Strategy of locality culture in the TepoTulodho program described Javanese culture andone of the supporting of pictured strategy.Keywords:Program strategy, local culture, picturisation, and rtistic design.

The film Tuan X is a fictional film with the theme of psychology. This film is very closely related to one's personal life. Films that tell about the condition of someone who is experiencing severe frustration so that his psychological was disturbed and it made him did things that are not normal. The production of Tuan X film is based on the concepts of directing, videography, editing, and sound that have been set before. From the film that was successfully created, it appears that gestures can be used to show a psychological picture of a character. The right gestures can be supported by repetition of movements so that it strengthens a character of the figure, so that the intensity of the tension / thriller of the story in reaching a climax is in accordance to the genre raised. In addition, the gesturessucceeded in becoming a signifier of the psychological reality of the character.

The debate on the speed of time (travel time, the length of the process, working time) has been going on since time immemorial and continues to this day. At this time the meaning of the word quickly in human life not only be the size of an improvement, but it is also considered to be a measure for better circumstances. Around us, the conditions under which it can be said that the central human race by speed. Most of the time of the human life cycle of time spent on a job that runs in a high-tempo pace. Things like that make a man trapped inside a rhythm acceleration. Slow follow the changes are considered outdated. Not fast also believed would make the economic benefits will be slightly reduced. Instead, speed is believed to be able to make financial gains accrue and be used as an indicator of the progress of human life. That is, human life would be considered better if he is able to more quickly than any other human. Through research and phenomenological theory approach the author tries to trace the phenomenon of time. The rhythm of life of modern man feels faster tempo is the main focus. Anxiety that the authors feel the phenomenon push to make it into a work of video art. This video art is a medium of expression that is at once the author tries to explore the phenomenon of modern human life time which more quickly than before. Advertising is now creating a need for consumers. Advertising makes the wishes and expectations of consumers as a need that must be met and how the fulfillment of course by consuming the advertised product. This study aims to determine the representation of male image contained in the ad Gatsby Styling Pomade. The type of research used is qualitative research with semiology communication approach. The focus of this study is the representation of the male image formed from the symbols contained in the ad Gatsby Styling Pomade. Analysis technique used in this research is semiotics analysis method with Roland Barthes semiotics analysis approach which has two marking level denotation and connotation and myth. In this ad shows that men should always look perfect with a proportionate body shape and a neat hair. The male image is displayed, forming the notion that men should always look stylish and cool. The focus of the research is to explore creativity in the application of linking techniquesto improve English fluency in order to increase the understanding of the English languagethrough the medium of television news. The method used is a combination betweendemonstrations and simulations method, based on experiences through reading andlistening skills. Simultaneously both these skills are applied in the instructional processin the classroom by using English-language news items from Voice of America SpecialEducation Report. The result of this study is that technique of linking is found in theEnglish News presented in television. Linking technique was applied to the type ofconsonant-vowel as well as the vowel-vowel. Consonant-vowel found in more thanthe vowel-vowel. The more linking technique found the more it makes a rapid speechin the case of presenting English news. By knowing the characteristics of the applicationof the technique linking, it is expected that Indonesian audience in general and studentof television study program in particular can understand the news more easily.

The research studied about movie entitled Sang Kiai created by Rako Prijanto. The movie achieved predicate of the best film and the best director in the Indonesia Film Festival 2013 in Semarang. Research problems in the study focused on style of directing “impressionism†in Sang Kiai movie with two aspects namely narrative and cinematic. Both aspects can used for reference in understanding of narrating a fiction movie. The objective of the research was to find out style of impressionism directing in the Sang Kiai movie as a technique of narrating film. The study applied the descriptive qualitative method with the researcher as a key instrument to collect data and review of related literature to support the style of impressionism in the film ‘Sang Kiai’. The data analysis process was conducted through some steps: data collection, data reduction, data analysis, and conclusion. The findings of the research showed that the Sang Kiai movie was a kind of impressionism film in narrating the story. In the display, it was emphasized more on the cinematography and editing to give perception on the characters in the movie, in order that it achieved the narration of the story through narrative and cinematic aspects.Kata Kunci: Style, impresionism, Sang Kiai, and movie

Framing images is one way used by MetroTV and RCTI in proclaiming Elections of DKI Jakarta. The goal is to build the public opinion.This study was conducted to find out the news ahead of Jakarta elections framed by Metro TV and RCTI.This research uses Gamson and Modigliani framing analysis model. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with sample impressions dated 5-13 October 2016.The technique of taking data using purposive samplingwhich is reinforced by observation and literature study.Data analysis used is interactive model of Miles and Huberman which is divided into three components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and verification.The results show that Metro TV and RCTI do framing news images with impressive support and anti-support on shooting techniques.The shooting techniques include image size, image taking angle, image composition, and camera movement.MetroTV and RCTI proved to override the principle of journalism (cover both side) on news ahead of Elections DKI Jakarta.Keywords: Framing, news images,MetroTV,RCTI,and DKI Elections.
