Jurnal Desain Interior, Seni dan Budaya adalah jurnal yang mempublikasikan wacana dan hasil penelitian berterkiat dengan desain, desain interior dan diskursus desain interior terhadap kajian seni dan budaya. Pendhapa dalam susunan rumah tradisional Jawa merupakan ruang terbuka untuk menerima tamu, tempat pertemuan, tempat pertunjukan. Pendhapa memiliki fungsi yang cukup kompleks yakni fungsi sakral maupun profan, ritual sekaligus seremonial, publik sekaligus privat, meleburnya bagian luar dan bagian dalam interior-arsitektur bangunan, bertemunya tamu dan tuan rumah. Pendhapa sebagai paseban, merupakan medium bagi bertemu, bertukarnya ide, pemikiran, gagasan, informasi, strategi maupun formulasi menyangkut banyak hal untuk kemaslahatan. Selaras dengan fungsi pendhapa yang strategis hadir Pendhapa: Jurnal Desain Interior, Seni dan Budaya terbit berkala setahun dua kali pada bulan Juni dan Desember sebagai media penyaluran dan publikasi ide, gagasan, inovasi, hasil penelitian para ilmuwan desainer dan desainer ilmuwan.

Abstract

Philosophical Aesthetics here is considered to center on these latter-day developments. Some aesthetic effects available in architecture, technology, and visual arts include tonal variation, juxtaposition, repetition, field effects, symmetry/asymmetry, perceived mass, subliminal structure, linear dynamics, tension and repose, pattern, contrast, perspective, 3 dimensionality, movements, rhythm, unity, and proportion. An aesthetic experience is just the experience of aesthetic properties and formal relations of a work. But this leads to problems concerning the attribution of aesthetic properties and whether we detect them or they are merely projected. Carroll suggests that the mere fact that we disagree about the attribution of aesthetic properties gives us at least some minimal reasons to presume that aesthetic properties are objective. Our response to art is unique and not precisely intellectual; beauty and perfection that we find in works of art do not consist of concepts but sense impressions. Key words : aesthetics, architecture, technology, art.

Abstract

Education is the most important thing in life. An Indonesian person of good quality will only be obtained with education. Andrea Hirata, the author of Laskar Pelangi, explored the problems of education which made reader be fascinated. Andrea told real facts and imagination into a beautifully flowing story. The composition containing the integration of plot, characterizing, theme, and setting is thought to be very good. The language flows beautifully. Andrea told the condition of SD Muhammadiyah with its very alarming facilities. This condition is much different from that of SD Penambangan timah which has complete utilities and facilities. The difference of the two schools is obvious. Key words : Value, Education

Abstract

Dakwah program on television lately increasingly prevalent. Television stations compete for dakwah program package as attractive as possible so that your viewers by showing cool and popular ustadz or ustadzah. By television, religion is an integral part of the individual and society become commodities for profit. The media as an institution experiencing contradictions of capitalist profit-oriented and capital accumulation, because the mass media should be market-oriented and sensitive to the dynamics of market competition. The media should strive to deliver compelling information products that have a market advantage. Impressions of religion, in this case the spiritual spray or dakwah on television, packaged in such a way as to meet the tastes of the market. Dakwah program is not monotonous and messages are easily digested into magnets that sold a preacher. The commodification of dakwah on television is then colored portrait Indonesian dakwah on television. Abstract

This paper titled Creative Case Elsie de Wolfe and Frank Lloyd Wright 20th Century. This paper is the result of literature study to explore the question of how the role of the creative process Elsie de Wolfe and Frank Lloyd Wright, in the field of interior design in the 20th century and how the environmental factors that influence the creative process Elsie de Wolfe and Frank Lloyd Wright. The approach used to borrow theories of Sigmund Freud, about the social influences on personality characteristics.Discussion of the results show, in the 20th century two trends emerged in the case of the creative design process. The first, conducted by Elsie de Wolfe leads to a form of conservation is a growing trend since ancient times, who faithfully follow and build on the traditions of the past history and tradition only slightly developed. This conservative tendency leads to the improvement of the visual style of the surface treatment and decoration, colors and textures, fixtures and accessories. The second, conducted by Frank Lloyd Wright tendency which aims to encourage innovation and new discoveries, which leads to the front and the futuristic new. This approach can be said to be more radical. This approach looked at all aspects of interior design as a potential for experimentation and progress. This approach is directed to examine the forms of space, system-structural systems and construction of space, patterns of functional activity space, the use of new materials, new manufacturing processes, and other aspects of interior design that have a direct appeal, ie, walls, ceilings , flooring, furniture, and other objects. The final goal of this trend is the incorporation of all the above elements in order to achieve overall consistency of the design as a result of the new design. The case related to the creative, creative way someone can be summed up basically not escape the influence of inner experience and empirical experience. At the level of the inner experience of it driven by the demands of the environment when it should behave and act while living in an environment that will form the habit of a person who in the end became a personality. The attitude of a person or individual social representation called kepribadaian formed as influenced by social climate or social structures in the environment. The personality characteristics influenced the work of many designers or artists is basically a naturally occurring process. Abstract

Batik encim is the term used to be worn by married Chinese ladies. The term batik encim is very popular, especially for Javanese people in northern beach, such as Pekalongan. The existence of batik encim coincides with the trend of batik style that develops in Indonesia, especially in Java. The batik encim is usually the cloth or sarong. It has the function to be matched with the kebaya cloth. In this case, the batik encim style consists of decoration kind or pattern, making region, technique or making process and coloring. Abstract

Peranakan Tionghoa-Indonesia adalah hasil dari kontak dua budaya antara Tionghoadan Nusantara yang berlangsung ratusan tahun dan mengakibatkan asimilasi darikedua budaya. Rumah adalah wujud asimilasi dari kontak dua budaya tersebut. Fokusdari penelitian ini adalah desain interior rumah peranakan Tionghoa-Indonesia sebagaihasil dari asimilasi kedua budaya di Pecinan Surakarta. Rumah dianggap sebagai“way of life” bagi mereka sebagai bentuk mempertahankan hidup untuk mencapaikeseimbangan hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan strategipenelitian studi kasus tiga rumah rumah di area Pecinan Pasar Gedhe, kelurahanKepatihan Wetan. Pendekatan historis dan budaya digunakan untuk memperkuatkonteks dari obyek rumah yang menjadi studi kasus. Landasan teori yang digunakanuntuk membantu analisis adalah kebudayaan, filsafat Cina, Feng-Shui, polapemukiman dan ilmu desain interior secara formal. Hasil dari penelitian adalah untukmenjaga keseimbangan dalam rumahnya masyarakat peranakan Tionghoa tetapmempertimbangkan Feng-Shui dalam menjawab kebutuhan energi baik agar bisahadir di dalam rumah. Budaya yang mempengaruhi desain interior rumah peranakanTionghoa adalah budaya Jawa dalam bentuk program ruang yang telah diadaptasidengan budaya Cina dan budaya Eropa dalam program ruang dan visual desaininterior. Kebutuhan untuk bertahan hidup dan menjawab perkembangan zaman,lebih mereka utamakan dalam bentuk visual desain interior dengan pertimbangansisi fungsional.Kata kunci: Peranakan Tionghoa, desain interior rumah, Feng Shui

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical and largest rattan producing country in the world. Such the condition in global context should become the national rattan industry superiority. However, strangely the condition in the ï¬eld frequently shows the scarcity of rattan main material. The main material scarcity often becomes the obstacle for the national rattan industry performers, particularly in Java. This background encouraged the government to enforce the policy of rattan main material export prohibition. In order to support the main material absorption through the improvement of productivity, the government devises to develop rattan industry design. Unfortunately, it has not been mentioned in detailed how the implementation of such the design development policy is. This article belongs to a qualitative research, attempting to explain the a priori design development. The approach method used was a discourse analysis in analytical descriptive manner. The concepts of aspect design development having the most important role were marketing, designer, production. Organization trilogy in that industry included three interrelated and interdependent components. The aspect of design in domestic rattan industry includes the need for understanding, function, and comprehensive role of design among the industries. Keywords: rattan policy, design development, industry.
