Abstract

The pattern of communication between single parent parents and children is very influential on the attitudes and behavior of children, but some of the parents of single parents some cases are left due to divorce or because of death. Interpersonal communication is very influential in the communication patterns of single parent parents carry out their role as parents who must provide moral and moral support for the character formation of children. This study aims to determine the effect of single parent parental communication patterns on the character formation of children. This research uses qualitative methods with case studies. Single father and single mother research subjects who were abandoned due to divorce or who were left due to death. Data collection using observation and interview methods. The results of research on the subject indicate that the pattern of communication between single parent parents and children is very important in shaping the character of children. Subjects have some obstacles in carrying out their role, and some of them have obstacles in playing the role of father / mother for children, some of them have obstacles when they have to portray the figure of a father for single parent mothers, and become a mother figure for single parent fathers The theory used for this research is role theory where single parent parents play the role of the actor who gives the message to the child as the target.

Abstract

The spread of Hoaks news became a continuous problem in the province of West Java because it is still a large number of hoaks. The purpose of this journal is to determine the attractiveness and existence of communication of the Department of Communications and Informatics of West Java province in preventing the spread of hoaks. The method used in the manufacture of this journal is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The result of this research is the Department of Communication and Informatics of West Java province in the appeal and existence of communication has not been maximized so that it has not been able to suppress the spread of Hoaks news in West Java However, with the strategy that is used more prioritize online media considering that the modern society can be a supporting to suppress the spread of hoaks news even eliminated Hoaks news in West Java province

Abstract

Video Blog (Vlog) President Joko Widodo on social media Youtube is a Vlog that is quite well known in cyberspace. In President Joko Widodo's Vlog, there are several videos related to Indonesian tourism including #JKWVLOG Indah Mandalika and #JKWVLOG Raja Ampat. President Joko Widodo conducts Vlogging activities in the two tourist destinations. This study aims to analyze the campaign destinations of Mandalika and Raja Ampat tourist destinations. This research method uses qualitative methods with case studies to analyze the digital campaigns of Mandalika and Raja Ampat tourist destinations. Data collection techniques used were documentation studies, observational studies, interviews, literature studies, data searches carried out online. Tourism communication 4.0 is digital communication which is influenced by information and communication technology. This technological change is accompanied by a change in the culture of people who like to share photos and videos. These cultural changes should be used to campaign for Mandalika and Raja Ampat tourist destinations. Mr. Jokowi has given an example in the Mandalika and Raja Ampat tourist destination campaigns by utilizing social media which is more trend, especially vlogs. The use of vlogs by Mr. Jokowi is one form of tourism communication 4.0.

Abstract

This research aims to study how tirto.id's attitude towards ecofeminism discourse in Kartini Kendeng conflict with PT. Semen Indonesia in Rembang, Central Java, Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method using Teun A. Van Dijk Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) model which focuses on the elements of text, social cognition and social analysis. There are three data collection techniques that are carried out, namely, interviews, observation and literacy studies. The results showed that tirto.id had a fairly good consistency in raising the ecofeminism issue. Judging from the text elements, tirto.id presents themes, titles, leads, story telling and graphics that support the ecofeminism issue appearing in the community as a joint study that needs to be examined. Related to social cognition elements, tirto.id tried to build critical awareness about ecofeminism issue in Kartini Kendeng conflict with PT. Semen Indonesia. Until today the conflict is not over, Kartini Kendeng has consistently rejecting PT. Semen Indonesia, because it is cited, will have a destructive effect that has implications for the surrounding society. That capture is how tirto.id wants to build message through their writings. While from the social context elements, tirto.id has a holistic consideration compiling to raise the ecofeminism issue through the reporting of Kartini Kendeng. This report provides an opportunity for studies to open up the relationship between humans and the potential of environmental damage. tirto.id's consideration of preaching a special portion of the issue was able to take on the role of a bridge between reality inside and outside the text, giving rise to an inclusive perspective on women and the environment.

Abstract

The realization of West Java, the inner and inner champion with innovation and collaboration. ”The West Java Disparbud seeks to preserve local cultural assets and make art and culture effective as regional assets that support the development of tourism in West Java in the frame of local wisdom.… SS One of the implementation of regional tourism promotion events held by the West Java Disparbud Marketing Sector is the Gedung Sate Festival 2018 event. Model Planning, Research, and Evaluation offers a broad research and planning methodology. With a descriptive approach. Evaluation is also carried out through media monitoring. Furthermore, the West Java Tourism and Culture Office conducted an evaluation by looking at reports on food product tenants sales of tenants, through media coverage and seeing how many media covered the 2018 Gedung Sate Festival event, through interviews with visitors at media, community feedback through social media. And based on the information we got, the response was positive and it can be said that the 2018 Gedung Sate Festival was successfully held .. The researcher recommends that planning should be thorough and anticipating obstacles that occur both in terms of publication, coordination, evaluation, research processes and technical implementation. In addition, we can be more sensitive to the obstacles of the 2018 Gedung Sate Festival.

Abstract

The pandemic of Covid-19 caused the Indonesian government to issue regulations about the implementation of e-learning as a substitute for face-to-face learning. Zoom Cloud Meeting application is one of the e-learning media used in order to achieve students understanding in the midst of pandemic. The research was conducted through a qualitative approach with a case study in one of the department which has the largest number of students at Universitas Komputer Indonesia. Through the purposive technique, six research informants were obtained, consisting of quality assurance coordinator, lecturers and students involved in the learning process using Zoom Cloud Meeting application. Results showed that planning contained an overview of learning activities to be held with Zoom Cloud Meeting media as well as preparations made by lecturers and students. Implementation is the use of Zoom Cloud Meeting application as the media of e-learning to deliver learning materials, in the same way as face-to-face learning, consisting of lectures and discussions. Evaluation is related to technical barriers and the development of learning materials that should be adjusted to e-learning method through Zoom Cloud Meeting application. Researchers concluded, the use of Zoom Cloud Meeting application as the media of e-learning in general has successfully achieving students understanding in the midst of pandemic through various features that support the implementation of e-learning, this happens after all parties involved can adapt to the e-learning system. For that, it is necessary to conduct further research about the impact of e-learning in the improvement the learning quality of students. This research was conducted as part of e-learning development, although it cannot completely replace face-to-face learning but at least supports the learning process by utilizing technological advances so that students are more active and independent, because the learning process is no longer centered on lecturers.

Abstract

This research was conducted to explain the communication actions in the Mauludan Tradition. The focus of the problem in this study is how the orders, statements, requests, and non-verbal behavior in the Mauludan Tradition in Kemuja Village. The research method used is a qualitative research method of communication ethnographic studies. The research subjects were the Kemuja Village Community and the number of research informants was 6 (six) people obtained through the snowball techniques and purposive sampling. Data collection techniques through reference books, previous research, internet searching, participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the people of Kemuja used Bangka Malay as a means of communication. Communicative actions contained in the Mauludan Tradition are the Actions of command: men are obliged to wear Muslim clothes when performing, Statements actions: bring food to the mosque for 2 consecutive days, Action of Request: as a form of gratitude and thanks to Allah SWT and as a respect for ancestors so that their lives are always on the right path. Non-Verbal Behavioral Actions: shaking hands with others as a form of apology and forging ties of friendship, carrying food from house to mosque as a form of mutual cooperation, gratitude for sustenance and sharing, wearing Muslim clothes and fragrances as a form of respect. The act of communication at the Mauludan event must continue to be celebrated so that people's lives are blessed to increase their faith and can continue to maintain cultural authenticity. The conclusion of this research is that the Communication Actions in the Mauludan Tradition in Kemuja Village runs in a solemn atmosphere and there is an exchange of certain symbols such as in the nganggung activities, the clothes used, and other accessories.

Abstract

Technological advancements have enabled progress in the video games industry. The emergence of mobile devices with increasingly sophisticated features allows audiences to play games anywhere and anytime. There is free time that needs to be filled as one of the main reasons for the audience to play games on their smart phones. The quality of smart phones that are increasingly being improved makes the world of the gaming industry more developed with the presence of new features in the game, one of which is the communication feature. Communication is very important especially in games that require teamwork. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology allows this communication to occur. By using qualitative methods, this study aims to look at the needs of the audience that can be satisfied through the media consumed. Through the Uses and Gratifications 2.0 theory, it was found that someone's need can appear before consuming the media or appear after exploring the use of the media. Abstract

The widespread use of Whatsapp in everyday modern human life’s who communicate without being limited by space and time.. This is because Whatsapp offers the ability to send messanges and create a whatsapp group chat that useful for spreading information practically with just one click, the massive use of the Whatsapp group chat feauter on. In Whatsapp group chat there is an admin who can invite and remove members in whatsapp chat group. And there are active members who always provide theire opinion or spread information, besides that there are also member of Whatsapp group chat who are passive even though theire as member of group chat Whatsapp. And it’s called Silent Reader. Silent reader doesn’t theire respon. So that communicator doesn’t get a feedback of the information that’s been spread in whatsappp group chat. This research aims to find out how someone in using Whatsapp group chat that can become as a silent reader. This research uses qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques, namely interviews with 5 informants in whatsapp chat group Barista Kopi Kenangan Karawang Yogya branch. The results of this study indicate that a personn’s can act as a silent reader in Whatsapp group chat are about theire Selectivity, Involment and theire needs. Abstract

Social media has various types and of course, has different functions and ways of working. Someone uses social media, of course, because there is something they are looking for (motive), and everyone has different motives for using social media, and this is influenced by 4 indicators, namely, information, social interactionl, entertainment, and personal identity. Instagram is a place where you can easily share photos, videos, and interact with other people through online networks. This study uses a quantitative approach with 45 samples and uses a random sampling technique. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires in the form of google form. The data analysis technique used was coding (Likert scale), testing the validity and reliability using SPSS version 21, and calculating the average (mean). From the results obtained, it shows that the motive of information is the motive most sought by students in using Instagram, social satisfaction is the highest satisfaction obtained by students in using Instagram. And the value of the biggest gap between motive and satisfaction is the information indicator.
