One of the problems faced by prospective brides is low marriage readiness. Marriage is important to prepare so that household life can run harmoniously. One of the important factors in marital readiness is emotional maturity. Emotional maturity plays an important role in marriage readiness for brides-to-be. This study examines the correlation between emotional maturity and readiness to marry in children applying for marriage dispensation. This study uses a correlational quantitative method. The sampling technique used quota sampling with predetermined criteria, namely the child applicant for marriage dispensation at the Malang Regency Religious Court, obtained 107 respondents. The instruments used in this study were the marital readiness and emotional maturity scales. The data analysis used was Pearson's product-moment correlation with a value of r = 0.455 and p < .001. This study's results indicate a significant and positive relationship between emotional maturity and readiness to marry in children applying for marriage dispensation.

The regression analysis identified several significant predictors of depression. These included sex (β=−2.6905, p = 0.004), educational level (β=−1.4470, p < 0.001), monthly income (β=1.1039, p = 0.023), and experience of bullying (β=2.3073, p = 0.015).

Abstract

The aims of this study are to examine the structure factor of Indonesian version of Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) and to test the construct of IWPQ by correlating with Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) as criterion. A total of 609 data from employees across Indonesia were involved in the research (Study 1 = 231, and Study 2 = 378). Data analysis was done using CFA to test the evidence validity based on internal structure and Pearson correlation to examine evidence of validity based on relation to other variables. This study confirmed the three-factor model of IWPQ in study 1 and study 2 with independent samples. The Indonesian version of the IWPQ also correlate positively with work engagement as criterion proving the evidence validity based on relation to others variable. The finding of this research strengthens the Indonesian version of IWPQ as a good tool in measuring work performance

Abstract

Marriage readiness is considered an important issue to be studied. The high rates of marital problems which impact social issues have been attributed to the lack of marriage readiness. Number of studies have tried to define and explain marriage readiness indices. However, there are various limitations due to how this concept is very much influenced by cultural factors, as is the case in Indonesia which is famous for its variety of cultures in every region. This study was conducted to make a comparison between perceived marriage readiness between Javanese people, as the representation of the largest population in Indonesia and regions outside Java as the comparison group. Data was collected using open-ended surveys with 207 participants coming from all over Indonesia. The results were analyzed using thematic coding which describes marriage readiness factors and personal perception of marriage readiness among Indonesians. Implications for this study are discussed, especially for evaluation and development of existing marital guidance programs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact worldwide, affecting various aspects of life. One prominent group affected by these circumstances are homemakers"”usually women"”who bear substantial domestic responsibilities, including childcare, household chores, and family caregiving. The multitude of challenges they face can have implications for their mental well-being. This study aims to ascertain the levels of depression, anxiety, and stress among homemakers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data collection employed the DASS-42 scale, a validated tool for measuring depression, anxiety, and stress. The study participants consisted of 88 homemakers with children. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis. Results indicated that a percentage of homemakers experienced normal levels of depression (28.41%), anxiety (14.77%), and stress (37.5%). Additionally, varying degrees of depression, anxiety, and stress were present, ranging from mild to severe. These findings underscore the necessity of addressing mental health challenges specific to homemakers. Implementing support programs tailored to alleviate the mental well-being challenges faced by this demographic is crucial.
