Abstract

This study examines media monitoring of Moell Skincare's clarification regarding the issue of child endorsement in Live Streaming Marapthon during March 29-April 8, 2026. The controversy emerged following the involvement of Andrew Raxy Neil, the son of public figure Erika Carlina, whose collaboration with Moell Skincare became associated with the program and generated extensive discussions on social media. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of public conversations following the brand's clarification. A qualitative descriptive approach using netnography was employed. Data were collected through non-participant observation using the Brand24 social media monitoring platform. The analysis focused on conversation volume, issue reach, public sentiment, dominant platforms, influential actors, and discussion themes. The findings recorded 256 mentions, with a social media reach of 12 million and a non-social media reach of 1 million. Positive sentiment dominated the conversations (65%), while negative sentiment accounted for 35%. TikTok and X emerged as the primary platforms, contributing 46.7% and 43.8% of total conversations, respectively, while online news media accounted for 9.5%. The dominant themes included child involvement in digital activities, the collaboration between Moell Skincare and Andrew Raxy Neil, the brand's clarification, and public responses to the controversy. The findings demonstrate that public conversations surrounding Moell Skincare's clarification were shaped by various actors, platforms, sentiments, and themes within digital environments. Media monitoring provides valuable insights into how organizational issues and brand clarifications develop across social media platforms.

Abstract

This systematic literature review (SLR) synthesizes current evidence on the implementation of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) in Social Studies Education, with particular attention to the integration of local wisdom. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and the SPICE framework, relevant studies were identified from the Scopus database (2000–2026). After the screening process, empirical studies were analyzed using thematic synthesis to address four research questions concerning CRT implementation, local wisdom integration, pedagogical characteristics, and educational outcomes. The findings indicate that CRT is implemented through culturally inclusive curricula, dialogic pedagogy, inquiry-based learning, local history, multicultural citizenship education, and technology-supported learning. Local wisdom is integrated through cultural experiences, indigenous knowledge, community narratives, local history, and cultural values, strengthening contextual learning and cultural identity. The review also identifies contextual, dialogic, critical, inclusive, and transformative pedagogical characteristics. Consequently, this review proposes the Local Wisdom-Based Culturally Responsive Social Studies Pedagogy model as a conceptual framework for advancing culturally responsive, socially just, and contextually relevant social studies education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability of the Sasak folktale Dewi Anjani as an Indonesian language teaching material in strengthening cultural literacy at the secondary school level. This research is motivated by the still limited use of local folktales as learning resources, even though folktales have great potential to develop literacy competencies while instilling cultural values in students. The Dewi Anjani folktale was chosen because it represents the cultural identity of the Sasak people through religious, moral, social, leadership, environmental conservation, and respect for tradition values that are still relevant to today's community life. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through a documentation study of the Dewi Anjani folktale text and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The analysis of the feasibility of teaching materials refers to aspects of content, language, presentation, and graphics that are adjusted to Indonesian language learning outcomes and cultural literacy indicators. Data validity was carried out through theory triangulation and expert review. The results of the study indicate that the Dewi Anjani folktale meets the criteria as a suitable teaching material for use in Indonesian language learning. In terms of content, the story embodies authentic local cultural values and supports the development of students' character. Linguistically, the language used is easy to understand and appropriate for the students' developmental level. The presentation, plot, characters, and conflict enhance student engagement in the learning process. Graphically, the story can be developed into engaging and contextual teaching materials. Utilizing the Dewi Anjani folktale not only supports the achievement of language and literary competencies but also strengthens cultural literacy through the recognition of local identity, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the fostering of an appreciation for regional culture. Therefore, the Dewi Anjani folktale is suitable as an innovative, contextual Indonesian language teaching material, oriented toward strengthening cultural literacy.
