Abstract

Education in Indonesia often overlooked practical skills such as cooking, despite their importance for health and independence. This program implemented the Educational Culinary Approach at SMA Katolik Stella Maris in Surabaya to enhance students' interest, skills, and knowledge in cooking. The method involved preparation, planning, implementation, and evaluation of cooking training. Initial observations indicated that only 30% of students initially showed active interest in cooking activities. Following the training, results showed a significant increase in interest (90%) and cooking skills (80%) among students. Besides improving practical skills, the program integrated Catholic values such as social service. Group cooking activities provided psychosocial benefits, including enhanced self-confidence and social interaction. The final evaluation demonstrated that this program successfully enhanced students' holistic interests, skills, and knowledge in cooking. It proved that integrating academic education with practical skills could yield positive outcomes, both in practical skills and students' character and social development.

Abstract

The Stimulation Detection and Early Intervention of Growth and Development (SDIDTK) program is one of the main programs of the puskesmas. Several efforts can be made to help children grow and develop optimally. Posyandu as a form of community participation under the Ministry of Health is one of the most basic levels of implementation of public health education and monitoring. The liveliness of posyandu activities is based on the participation of posyandu cadres. The task of posyandu cadres is very important and complex where posyandu activities should not only monitor growth but also monitor development so that early growth and development deviations can be detected. The main problem that is prioritized is the lack of optimal cadres in stimulating the growth and development of toddlers early. Provide assistance to partners, namely posyandu cadres, by providing counseling / health education about toddler growth and development. And socialization of cadres with role play and demonstration media using growth and development assessment sheets (KPSP) directly, this can increase the understanding of cadres in assessing or measuring toddler growth and development. As well as providing training to posyandu cadres as a whole in early detection of toddler growth and development until cadres are able to assess obstacles to toddler growth and development. The output targets of this community service are publications in accredited national journals, publishing articles in mass media, making videos of activities uploaded to YouTube, increasing the knowledge and skills of cadres.

Abstract

The horticulture sector in Sleman Regency has great potential to be developed thanks to the fertile land at the foot of Mount Merapi. However, challenges of high-water availability and climate change, such as the El Nino phenomenon, hinder the growth and production of horticultural crops. Several technologies have been introduced and adopted to address these issues, including rainwater harvesting systems, drip irrigation, and the Internet of Things (IoT) for system automation. Implementing these technologies has resulted in significant adoption among young farmers, with 80% adopting rainwater harvesting systems, 35% drip irrigation, 15% IoT, and 10% adopting all three technologies together. Adopting these technologies is changing the mindset and behavior of young farmers, increasing their awareness and understanding of modern agricultural technologies. This facilitates more efficient and sustainable agricultural production and improves the quality and productivity of agricultural products. Thus, young farmers in Sleman Regency are a promising long-term investment in improving the quality of human resources in the agricultural sector, supporting their existence in the industrial era 4.0, and strengthening the sustainability of the agricultural system in the region.

Abstract

The problem of understanding the concept of multiplication at the primary school level is a significant challenge that can hinder students' education if not addressed. Besides, literacy culture needs special attention because many students still need help in reading activities due to a lack of interest. This is due to the perception that reading is boring and the need for more support from the environment, including parents. This article discusses introducing educational games oriented towards numeracy literacy skills in fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 13 Kota Sorong through a campus teaching program. There are four stages in implementing the program: Situation Analysis/Partner Problem Study (Pre-Test), Preparation and Creation of Educational Games, Implementation/Introduction of Educational Games, and Program Implementation Results (Post-Test). The data were from the Campus Teaching Program Batch 7 using direct observation and interviews. Then, direct observation of the teaching and learning process is also carried out to determine students' competence during this program. Based on the pre-test and post-test of the class Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) conducted at the beginning and end of the activity, data obtained from students who experienced an increase in literacy as many as eight people (50%) remained as many as three people (18.75%). They decreased by five people (31.25%). Meanwhile, for numeracy, the number of students who experienced an increase was nine people (56.25), as many as one person (6.25%), and those who experienced a decrease were six people (37.5%). The results showed that the educational game improved some students' literacy and numeracy skills, although some experienced a decline in both skills.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase integrated participatory commitment in archival management for village heads throughout Pemalang District. Good archive management will encourage the creation of Good Governance. Effective archive management is an essential pillar in transparent and accountable village governance. This activity involves village heads in training activities, workshops and technical guidance designed to strengthen their capacity in managing archives. The methods include outreach, workshops, and direct guidance in implementing an effective archiving system. The service results show an increase in the technical abilities and commitment of village heads in organizing archives, as well as an increase in awareness of the importance of good archives. It is hoped that strengthening this participatory commitment will have a positive impact on archive management in Pemalang District villages, which will ultimately support improving the quality of public services and village governance. In administering archives, it is not enough to have archives policies, archives infrastructure, competence of archivists/archivists, and archives funding. However, there also needs to be integrated participatory commitment. Participatory commitment is an integrated concept of the three participatory commitments (normative, sustainable, and affective) in every component in archival administration.
