Abstract

Tanjungsari Hamlet is one of the hamlets located in Sukoharjo Village, Ngaglik District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Tanjungsari have the potential for agricultural products that can be developed into superior products. Two agricultural products are chili and gadung. Chili agricultural products are usually directly sold to nearby markets without being processed first, which can harm the community when chili prices fall. Meanwhile, for gadung tubers, there are already business actors who process them into gadung chips but still use traditional tools so that the products produced are of less quality and the marketing is less extensive. Another obstacle in optimizing chili and gadung results is human resources that have not been supported, namely not having the ability to process products and market them. Therefore, the program provided is the Entrepreneurial Village Program for the development of chili and gadung agricultural products into ready-to-eat chili sauce and Gadung Chips "TJS". The method used is training and mentoring. The target of this program is two groups’ people, which each group consisting of 10 farmers who cultivate chili and gadung tubers. To overcome the problems that occur, an entrepreneurial village program has been carried out from July-December 2023. Programs that have been implemented include training programs for processing chili peppers into ready-to-eat chili sauce, training on processing taste variations, providing packaging, providing processing tools, marketing research, promotional media and developing sales systems, and institutions. The product name is called "Sambal TJS" and "Keripik Gadung TJS". After all the programs, the conclusion are the people in Tanjungsari Village have products that are ready to be marketed and also gaining knowledge about marketing TJS products and how to build a business network and marketing.

Abstract

Diabetes is a problematic condition that must be controlled effectively. Adaptive coping methods are techniques for dealing with situations or stressors that require someone to handle them. Problem-focused coping strategies attempt to modify the source of stress, whereas emotional emphasis focuses on regulating the feelings that arise in response to perceived stress triggers. This study explores coping strategies and family empowerment for improved self-care management in persons with type 2 diabetes.  This community service used a descriptive quantitative design using a total sampling technique, which included all sufferers who participated in PROLANIS activities between February 5 and May 27, 2024.  Activities were carried out to develop an understanding of adaptive coping strategies and disease perspectives in managing the diabetes mellitus they suffer. Results. Blood pressure measurements in stage 1 hypertension fell from 38.6% to 28.1% following the activity and in stage 2 hypertension, from 26.3% to 22.8%. Body mass index (BMI) grew from 38.6% to 63.2%, overweight from 33.4% to 15.8%, and obese from 28% to 21.1%. HbA1c, total cholesterol, and triglycerides did not change with HbA1c levels > 6.5% (54.4%); total cholesterol at alert level 36.8%; danger > 240 mg/dl 28.1%; triglycerides at alert level 17.5%; danger > 400 8.8%. The Bref-Cope questionnaire revealed that the majority of respondents had strong coping in focussing (70.2%), were able to deal with emotions well (91.2%), and were able to overcome avoidance (57%). According to the research findings, most PROLANIS participants' coping techniques were effective, albeit the results varied, beginning with focusing on difficulties and overcoming avoidance. This demonstrates that most T2D patients have adapted to their illnesses. However, HbA1c, total cholesterol, and triglyceride test results show an inverse relationship. This demonstrates poor self-care management on the part of the patient. T2D patients require assistance in managing self-care through family empowerment and the active participation of patients, families, and healthcare providers in preventing complications.

Abstract

The prevalence rate of stunting in Indonesia is considered high at 27.5% on a national scale and 25.1% for West Java province. Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem characterized by short stature. Stunting may be hereditary, but consumption patterns play a role as a risk factor for stunting. Knowledge about proper consumption patterns is known to prevent stunting. This includes conducting educational activities about nutritious feeding patterns in families.Nutritional fulfillment counseling for pregnant women and toddlers has been conducted for the community in Babakan Village, Pangandaran. Participants who took part in this activity were members of the Dewi Manik Integrated Health Post (Pos Yandu). In addition to counseling, questionnaires were also distributed to assess the community's level of knowledge about nutrition in the family. A total of 64 participants aged 20 to 35 years completed the questionnaire. From the results of questionnaires given before and after the counseling, it was found that participants' knowledge about nutrition for pregnant women and toddlers was already quite good, but it has not been well applied as there is still a stunting rate of about 25% among toddlers from the survey subjects.Several efforts, such as providing more interactive and specific counseling materials about stunting and independent nutritional fulfillment, as well as more detailed and regular information about disease impacts, can be carried out for residents to help increase their awareness to independently prevent stunting.
