Abstract

Bustanul Athfal (BA) Aisyiyah Pijeran II is located in Pijeran Village, Siman District, Ponorogo Regency. What used to be community land has now been converted into a learning place for early childhood with the approval of the local community. Apart from being a place to study, this place is also useful as a children's play area with fun games. Games are a tool that must be present in the early childhood education environment. Good rides will have a positive impact on children. This community service program aims to develop a play environment so that children can train emotionally, build creativity, hone thinking skills and foster children's sense of courage. Activity methods in community service include field surveys, selecting designs and making technical drawings, calculating material requirements and designing prototypes. The results of this prototype design produce a swing design that is equipped with a safety system, so that children can play comfortably and without worrying about falling. Apart from that, the addition of play rides in the form of swings on empty land can be beneficial for children so they are interested and feel at home in the play environment for a long time. Properly assembling and installing the position of the swing play ride can create a play ride that is safe and fun for children.

Abstract

The rapid rise of e-commerce has significantly impacted traditional markets. Society is faced with two choices: to embrace the progress of the time or not. This service project explores the challenges sellers face in Semarang’s Karangayu Market face due to shifting consumer behavior towards online shopping. The declining income and customer base prompted a community service project by Universitas Widya Husda Semarang to equip sellers with online sales strategies. The program targeted 18 sellers dealing in fashion products. It involved three phases: survey, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The program addressed challenges by presenting the evolution of online shopping and popular e-marketplace platforms, providing a question-and-answer session where participants expressed concerns about e-marketplace competition. Conducting a training session on creating Shopee seller accounts, highlighting the functionalities of the Shopee seller dashboard for managing online stores. The community service team initiative successfully empowered sellers with basic e-marketplace knowledge and skills. Regular training programs targeting non-digital sellers are recommended to bridge the digital divide and ensure the sustainability of traditional markets. This program can serve as a model for future initiatives aimed at supporting traditional businesses in the digital era.

Abstract

Children with special needs face various barriers to learning and development. Play therapy is one way to help them develop optimally and perform their social functions effectively. Play therapy is a therapeutic activity that utilizes toys and games to facilitate children's expression of various emotions, including happiness, sadness, anger, resentment, depression, and others. The goal of this activity is to help children with special needs increase their concentration and develop creativity and motor skills. The method of implementing play therapy in children with special needs involves several approaches and strategies tailored to individual needs, including group play therapy, structured play therapy, visual techniques, and motor training through penguin gymnastics. Activities are divided into several sessions. During the first session, we divided the children into three groups using a division system that involved coloring paper pictures of three different types of animals. Once the coloring session concluded, the children transitioned to the next activity, which involved arranging pyramids using plastic cups to enhance their concentration, despite their frequent distractions in practice. The last activity is for children to do motor exercises with penguin gymnastics. Children with special needs follow each session according to the therapist's direction. We hope that the child's parents will participate regularly and schedule the activities to ensure the program's sustainability.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to enhance student loyalty and satisfaction at Bali Hati International School, where many students have been enrolled from kindergarten to high school. The phenomenon observed during the internship suggests that most students continue their education at Bali Hati for an extended period despite the school's restrained marketing efforts. This situation warrants further investigation into the factors contributing to this sustainability. According to theory, factors such as service quality, programs, and facilities likely contribute to student loyalty and satisfaction. It is hoped that this initiative will deepen understanding into the factors that contribute to the sustainable student loyalty at Bali Hati International School as well as to understanding the behaviour of consumers that might lead to the development of strategies that improve customer retention. Moreover, it aims to stimulate effective word-of-mouth marketing through positive experiences shared by alumni, students and parents, ultimately supporting the sustainable relationship between students and the school.

Abstract

The Postoperative phase is a critical period in the recovery of surgical patients. During this phase, many patients experience fatigue. Postoperative fatigue is challenging and affects quality of life. Back massage is a complementary therapy performed to manage fatigue and reduce muscle tension. For this reason, a family empowering program was conducted in one of the surgical wards in one of the government hospitals in Sumedang, which was attended by 10 participants consisting of patient families. Program participants are families of patients undergoing surgery. Based on the records obtained, the patient's family experienced an increase in knowledge measured through pre-test and post-test. At the pre-test stage, the percentage of participants who had poor knowledge was 50% and after participating in the program decreased to 30%. Meanwhile, the percentage at the good knowledge level at the pre-test was 20% and at the post-test there was an increase to 40%. Based on this percentage, it was found that there was an increase in participants' knowledge before and after the program related to the implementation of foot massage in order to manage fatigue. Abstract

Financial literacy and inclusion are crucial for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to remain competitive. However, many SMEs have a limited understanding of the concepts and applications of financial literacy, facing challenges in financial management and business development. This community service activity aims to educate SMEs about financial literacy, using an approach based on the problems faced by SMEs in Palembang and reports from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) regarding the gap between financial inclusion and literacy in Indonesia. The results of this service show that educational programs focused on real-life examples are highly effective in improving SMEs' understanding of financial literacy. The appropriate use of approaches and ongoing mentoring also significantly contribute to increasing SMEs' knowledge. Questionnaire evaluations show an increase in financial literacy, including knowledge of numeracy, inflation, and risk diversification between pre- and post-training. Therefore, structured and sustainable training programs are essential for supporting the growth and sustainability of SMEs. This program enables SMEs to leverage knowledge and understanding for better financial management and sustainable business innovation. Additionally, such training supports the United Nations program on Sustainable Development Goal Number 8 related to economic growth.
