Abstract

The low productivity of paddy in Langsat Permai Village, Bunga Raya District, Siak Regency, one of them is causes the unavailability of sufficient water for crop cultivation, so it is necessary to do water management by making canal blocking to be used on rice plants in the area. This is done to meet the water needs of rice plants during the dry season. Therefore, assistance is provided through water management in Langsat Permai Village, Bunga Raya District, Siak Regency. Mentoring strategies are carried out by discussing directly with farmer groups about the impact of making canal blocking. Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the efficiency of cattle farm business in Huta Gondang Rejo Nagori Bandar Tongah Bandar Huluan Subdistrict Simalungun Regency through the use of pellet complete feed based on palm oil fronds and agricultural waste. This activity is conducted on cattle ranchers who are members of the farming community group Huta Gondang Rejo. Farmers are given counseling and training on the processing of palm oil fronds and agricultural waste into livestock feed and the establishment of a complete ration of palm-based pellet and agricultural waste. To facilitate the transfer of this technology to the breeder, then prepared a complete feed pellet with 5 types of machines. Palm Crusher Counter Machines or Palm Crafter Engines with a capacity of 600 kg/hour. Pellet printing machine (granulator) with capacity of 100 kg/hour. Mixer machine (mixer feed) with a capacity of 50 kg/stir. Dryer (Oven) with capacity of 10 kg/rack. Manual press feed press tool with specification 2 kg/print. Measuring the success of this activity is seen from the level of farmer adoption of pelleting technology and the difference of ration conversion between cattle that get complete feed and conventional or traditional. Performance of palm cropping machine for cattle that get complete pellet feed is better than cattle that get conventional or traditional feed. This Chopper machine can count the palm stem from the tip of the base of the leaf to the stem (80% of the palm stem). Through the activities of plant waste feed technology is expected to achieve some outcomes, namely, improve the productivity of farming through the system integration of livestock combine farming system with synergistic system to form an effective, efficient and environmentally friendly.

Examinations are carried out in accordance with the 2017 World Alzheimer Month and are followed by lay seminars on dementia, brain gym exercises (gerak latih otak/GLO) as well as brain teasers. The activity involved 26 participants from integrated development post (pos pembinaan terpadu/Posbindu) with a mean systolic blood pressure (TDS) 131.54 + 18.70 mmHg, mean diastolic blood pressure (TDD) 83.85 + 8.98 mmHg, mean mean arterial pressure 99, 69 + 9.47 mmHg and a mean MoCA-Ina score of22 + 5.03. Blood pressure monitoring, education of community awareness and cognitive stimulation at regular intervals are expected to prevent and reduce the incidence of hypertension, dementia and senility.

Abstract

This community service took place in Simatohir Village, Padangsidimpuan District Angkola Julu, Padangsidimpuan City. The implementation methods used are counseling methods, cultivation technique training, and mentoring. The approach method used is: a) Counseling about the application of SRI technology. b) Make demonstration plots or demonstration plots. c) Use of 2 : 1 legowo planting system using ticks. In the generative phase clearly visible results from the application of SRI are applied to the rice field cropping. There is a distance that facilitates the care of farmers, efficiency in the use of paddy water and the number of productive tillers is 25-40 tillers / clumps and the yield reaches 1337 tons with an area of 1000 square meters and this difference is very obvious when farmers do not use SRI , which starts from tillage which is only extracted, unbalanced fertilization, irregular irrigation, perforated plants between 10-20 plants with productive tillers only 15-23 tillers. This will have an impact on harvest yields which only reach 900 kg with an area of 1000 square meters.
