Abstract

This research aims was to know Test of Some Varieties and Provision of Bioboost Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Red Onion (Allium ascolonicum L.). The design used in this research is Randomized Block Design, with 2 factors is: Factor Test Some varieties symbolized with (V) consists of 3 levels: V1 = Local Variety, V2 = Varieties of Brebes, V3 = Philippine Varieties. The Bioboost Fertilization Factor is symbolized by (B), is: B0 = 0 cc / Liter water, B1 = 3.5 cc / Liter water, B2 = 5cc / Liter water, B3 = 10 cc / Liter water. The result of analysis of variance that effect of some varieties treatment showed real effect at plant height 7 mst. While the influence is not real in the observation on the observation of plant height aged 3.5 and 9 mst. Number of tillers 3, 5, 7 and 9 mst. Tuber weight per sample and weight of tuber per plot.  Treatment of Bioboost fertilizer showed real effect on observation  weight of tuber per plot. While the effect was not significant on the observation of plant height aged 3, 5, 7 and 9 mst, the number of tillers aged 3, 5, 7 and 9 mst and tuber weight per sample. analysis of variance that due to the treatment of several varieties and fertilizer Bioboost showed a real effect on observation of height of plant age 7 and 9 mst. While the effect was not significant on observation of height parameters of plant age 3 and 5 mst, number of tillers age 3, 5, 7 and 9 mst, tuber weight per sample and weight of tuber per plot.

Abstract

This community service took place in Simatohir Village, Padangsidimpuan District Angkola Julu, Padangsidimpuan City. The implementation methods used are counseling methods, cultivation technique training, and mentoring. The approach method used is: a) Counseling about the application of SRI technology. b) Make demonstration plots or demonstration plots. c) Use of 2 : 1 legowo planting system using ticks. In the generative phase clearly visible results from the application of SRI are applied to the rice field cropping. There is a distance that facilitates the care of farmers, efficiency in the use of paddy water and the number of productive tillers is 25-40 tillers / clumps and the yield reaches 1337 tons with an area of ​​1000 square meters and this difference is very obvious when farmers do not use SRI , which starts from tillage which is only extracted, unbalanced fertilization, irregular irrigation, perforated plants between 10-20 plants with productive tillers only 15-23 tillers. This will have an impact on harvest yields which only reach 900 kg with an area of​​ 1000 square meters.

Abstract

This community service took place in Rimba Soping Village, Padangsidimpuan District Angkola Julu, Padangsidimpuan City. The implementation method used is counseling methods, and training or mentoring. The approach method used is: a) Counseling about the application of the benefits of fruit and vegetables b) Training and mentoring of Balakka fruit processing. Based on the results of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) activities that have been implemented, conclusions can be drawn, namely: 1) Very positive results are obtained from the partners during the activities 2) The transfer of knowledge and information to partners in an effort to use balakka fruit 3) There is added value (value added) from Balakka fruit 4) The high motivation of KWT Rotama in Balakka fruit innovation 5) Reducing capital constraints in starting a business by utilizing available natural products.

Abstract

Spodoptera exigua is a migrant pest that attacks onions simultaneously in groups. The utilization of papaya leaves to control pests due to papaya leaves have toxic compounds that can kill pests. This study aims to measure the ability of papaya leaves to control S. exigua larvae. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) experimental method with two treatment factors. The first factor was papaya leaf concentration (0 g / l, 30 g / l, 70 g / l, 100 g / l, 120 g / l), and the second factor is a mixture of kerosene. The treatment was repeated three times. The study was conducted at the Agrotechnology Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty Muhammadiyah University, South Tapanuli. The results showed that papaya leaves could kill S. exigua larvae. The highest mortality of S. exigua worms There were statistically significant non-treatments among treatments.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan cendawan entomopatogen sebagai agens pengendali hayati merupakan salah satu cara untuk menghindari dampak negatif bahan kimia terhadap lingkungan. Cendawan entomopatogen yang telah banyak digunakan untuk pengendalian serangga hama secara hayati adalah Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, Aspergillus sp., Nomuraea rileyi. Cendawan tersebut bersifat patogenik terhadap berbagai jenis serangga dengan kisaran inang yang luas. Cendawan entomopatogen lebih mudah didapatkan pada daerah rizosfer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui cendawan yang terdapat pada rizosfer berbagai tanaman hortikultura di beberapa wilayah Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Cendawan entomopatogen diambil dari tanah di sekitar tanaman (rizosfer) hortikultura di 8 lokasi yaitu lahan pertanaman sawi, mentimun, kacang panjang, tomat, kedelai jagung, kacang hijau dan terung. Sampel tanah diambil pada lima titik dengan sistem diagonal. Isolasi cendawan dari tanah dilakukan dengan metode perangkap serangga (Insect baid method). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari seluruh tanah yang diteliti hanya ditemukan 1 genus cendawan entomopatogen dari rizosfer berbagai tanaman hortikultura di beberapa wilayah kabupaten Mandailing Natal yaitu Metarhizium.

Abstract

Green ladybug (Nezara viridula L.) is an important pest in some plants, including soybeans. N. viridula attacks cause a decrease in yield of up to 80%. Environmental friendly pest control studies are needed to overcome the problem of resurgence caused by N. viridula, among others by utilizing entomopathogenic fungus as their natural enemies. This study discusses about the efficacy of entomopathogenic fungi against N. viridula imago. The research is conducted at the Agricultural Agrotechnology Laboratory, Muhammadiyah University of South Tapanuli. The study uses a completely randomized design, nine treatments (control and eight isolates of entomopathogenic fungus) with three replications. The conidia density used is 108 conidia / ml. The entomopathogenic fungus application was performed on N. viridula imago. The results shows that MetKP fungus isolates are able to kill N. viridula imago with the highest mortality rate of 78.33%. The isolates of MetKM fungi and M. anisopliae caused the lowest imago mortality of 61.67%. Isolate of B. bassiana fungus had the lowest LT50 with a time of 5.66 HSA and the isolate of the MetTmM fungus had the highest LT50 with a time of 7.27 HSA. In the immature body part of N. viridula infected with fungus is enveloped by entomopathogenic fungal mycelium.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) terhadap pemberian ekstrak daun Lamtoro dan pengaturan jarak tanam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan dua faktor yang diteliti yaitu Faktor perlakuan pemberian ekstrak daun lamtoro dan Faktor jarak tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian ekstrak daun lamtoro menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman umur 3, 5 dan 7 mst, jumlah daun umur 3, 5 dan 7 mst, jumlah anakan umur 3, 5 dan 7 mst, berat umbi persampel dan berat umbi perplot. Dari hasil analisa statistik perlakuan jarak tanam menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap parameter jumlah daun umur 3 dan 5 mst, jumlah anakan umur 3, 5 dan 7 mst, berat umbi persampel dan berat umbi perplot, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 3, 5 dan 7 mst. Dari hasil analisa statistik interaksi kedua perlakuan menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap arameter tinggi tanaman umur 7 mst, jumlah daun umur 5 mst, jumlah anakan umur 5 mst, berat umbi persampel dan berat umbi perplot, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 3 dan 7 mst, jumlah daun umur 3 dan 7 mst, jumlah anakan umur 3 dan 7 mst.

Abstract

Tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.) ialah tanaman penghasil beras yang digunakan sebagai bahan pangan utama hampir 90 % penduduk Indonesia. Ketersediaan air yang cukup merupakan salah satu faktor utama dalam produksi padi sawah. Kebutuhan air tanaman padi ditentukan oleh beberapa faktor seperti jenis tanah, kesuburan tanah, iklim (basah atau kering), umur tanaman, dan varietas padi yang ditanam, dan sebagainya. Keberhasilan pengelolaan tanaman dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan dan kemampuan tanaman dalam memanfaatkan sumberdaya lingkungan tumbuh tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui interval penyiangan dan ketebalan naungan terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman Padi Sawah (Oryza sativa L.). Peneltian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Mondang, Kec. Sayur Matinggi, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot Design), dengan dua faktor yang akan diteliti yaitu : Faktor I Interval Penyiangan (P) dengan 3 taraf yaitu : P1= penyiangan 1x2 minggu, P2= penyiangan 1x3 minggu, P3= penyiangan 1x4 minggu. Faktor II Ketebalan Naungan (N) terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu : N0= Tanpa Naungan, N1= Satu lapis, N2= Dua lapis. Dari hasil analisis statistik perlakuan interval penyiangan menunjukkan pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman Umur 2 mst, 6 mst, 10 mst, parameter jumlah anakan pada umur 2 mst, 6 mst, 10 mst, parameter berat dan berat bulir perplot. Sedangkan pengaruh nyata dijumpai pada berat bulir persampel. Hasil analisis secara statistik perlakuan ketebalan naungan menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman umur 2 mst dan 6 mst,dan 10 mst, parameter jumlah anakan pada umur 2 mst dan 10 mst. Sedangkan pengaruh tidak nyata terdapat pada parameter jumlah anakan umur 6 mst, berat bulir persampel dan berat bulir perplot. Kata Kunci : Interval Penyiangan, Ketebalan Naungan Tanaman Padi Sawah

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh promosi terhadap peningkatan penjualan gula aren tropica sidimco. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di industri rumahtangga pengolahan gula aren tropica sidimco di Kelutahan Losung Batu, Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Hutaimbaru, Kota Padangsidimpuan. Mulai dari bulan Aprilsampai dengan Juni 2016. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pembeli gula aren tropika Sidimco. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode sampling aksidental yaitu teknik penentuan sampel berdasarkan kebetulan, yaitu siapa saja yang kebetulan bertemu dengan peneliti dapat digunakan sebagai sampel, bila dipandang orang yang kebetulan ditemui itu cocok sebagai sumber databerjumlah 40 orang. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Analisis Regresi Sederhana melakukan estimasi untuk memperoleh hubungan fungsional dari variabel bebas (Promosi) terhadap variabel terikat (Peningkatan Penjualan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwaberdasarkan hasil uji statistik memperoleh nilai signifikan/propabiliti = 0,03 atau lebih kecildari nilai <α 0.05,yang berarti terdapat pengaruh/hubunganyang bermakna antara promosi dengan peningkatan penjualan gula aren tropica sidimco atau dengan kata lain hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa variabel independen promosi secara bersama-sama mempengaruhi variabel dependenpeningkatan penjualan. Ho di tolak dan Ha diterima dengan nilai R2 = 16.4396 yang berarti pengaruh promosi terhadap peningkatan penjualan hanya berkisar 16.4% hal ini berarti pengaruh antar variabel masih dalam kategori rendah. Kata Kunci : promosi, peningkatan volume penjualan, gula aren
