Abstract

Extensive use of information technology in companies put IT into a position which is of considerable concern, especially in large companies that put IT becomes a strategic part of the company. The importance of IT division, make the companies willing to pay big to get the benefits offered by IT itself, but on the other hand appears disappointment incurred from investments are not comparable with the results obtained. Until the threat appear and disrupt the business of the company. By doing risk management using the OCTAVE-S, particularly in smaller companies, can help companies to be growing, the company can find out the weaknesses and threats that may arise that could disrupt the company's business, helped by the standard controls that are owned by the ISO / EIC 27001 : 2005 helps companies to prepare implement ISO / EIC 27001:2005 later.

Abstract

Technology plays an important role in various enterprise business processes for improved customer service, decision making, and means of information exchange. Hospitality accommodation is an example of fields that use information systems technology. This research was conducted in the field of hospitality especially front office system. Using computerized front office system, data about guests will be stored more safely and the reports will be better resulted. The purpose of this study is to analyze the existing problems on a Front Office of a hotel including identifying information needs and designing information systems to improve hospitality services to guests. The method used is analysis and design. Analysis is performed towards library research anddata collection needed for measuring through observation, interviews, and documents related to the information system. Menawhile, design uses object oriented analysis and design (OOAD) method and application programusing MS Access 2010. The result achieved is an application design of information system of hospitality front office that consists of five modules, namely Reservation module, Services module, Housekeeping module,Restaurant module, and Billing module. As a conclusion, a computerized information system of hospitality front office can assist hotels in providing better service to guests, which in turn can increase guest satisfaction.

Abstract

Competition in the business world effects the use of information technology. To achieve competitive advantage in the global competition, PT Pan Brothers, Tbk. should establish an integrated information system based on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). With the ERP system, information will be accurate and up-todate to support strategic decision making. It takes conscientious planning in building the ERP system. Management information systems development projects have a very important role. One determining component is how to choose and use appropriate information systems development method. SDLC (system development life cycle) is growing very rapidly along with the development of information technology. It is necessary to choose the right SDLC in building an integrated system based on ERP. Each SDLC models has advantages and disadvantages. SDLC models will only be optimal if used according to the situation and conditions. Waterfall model provides clear deliverables and milestones, good documentation, easy to understand, easy to implement, emphasizes on good procedural workmanship (precoding design). Some of its weaknesses are difficult to integrate risk management, high cost change documents, high administrative costs, often late completion thus.To avoid them, there should be a well-planned project management and steps properly so it can be on time and will not exceed budget.

Abstract

Research aims to create a draft of application based on customer relationship management (CRM) toimprove services on St carolus hospital in terms of criticism-suggestions, to create scheduling events and patient schedule for second time which is still less control. Research used survey, interview the parties concerned, aswell as analyzing the systems running on St Carolus hospital. Results of the research are application design that helps to improve the quality of the hospital service to the patient, application design that helps management in holding the event, and managing the input given by the visitor at ease. In conclusion, the application designhelps manage criticism and suggestions, make events, and intertwine relations with patients after medication or treatment.

Abstract

Starsindo Logistics Inc. (SL) is a company in freight forwarding service. The problem in this company is less information provided to customers, especially about customer order status information. It is started from the departure of the EMKL truck until the standard time of customer container entering freight process. Therefore, it is needed to use the customer service application electronic-Customer Relationship Management (e-CRM), because it will ease to manage and control information flow about the customer order status. The research method is following rules in object oriented analysis and design by Mathiassen. Through website, public is hoped to easily access the company information or ship schedule, order list, tracking order status, or transaction history. This web-based customer service application could help the company to build a good relationship with customers.

Abstract

Company faces a business competition that requires the company to survive or be superior to its competitors. PT. XYZ is a trading company engaged in distribution of raw materials and goods of Japanese foodand it needs the support of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) to be applied in all business processes. One of the most important business processes is purchasing and supplying of raw materials. Raw material is a resourceor materials that have a good economic value to be sold directly or processed into finished goods that will be marketed. Therefore, it is important for companies to know how to do a good internal control related to thepurchase and inventory. The methodology used in this research is to conduct a survey on the condition of the company's business processes, the study of literature with the method of analysis and design of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD). The results of this study is the analysis and design of purchases accounting information systems, cash expense and inventory that can assist the companies in carrying out business activities and organizing internal control related to the purchase and inventory and to be able to reduce the distortionsthat occur and to maintain the smooth operation of the company. The information systems that are designed are able to help the companies in reducing errors caused by data record error transactions by employees and allow the companies to control the supply of goods.

Abstract

The research objective is to develop an application that allows users to participate in a loyalty program and facilitate Smartphone enterprise (Merchant) in access, sale and observation of customer transactions through mobile applications. Design method used is object-based design that includes a UML of use case diagrams, use case narrative, class diagram, sequence diagrams and activity diagrams. Results achieved in the form of mobile applications that are able to facilitate customer in managing loyalty cards as well as to increase customer loyalty. This application features, such as add points, redeem, news, transaction history, and message that can facilitate customer in managing customer loyalty card. The conclusion of this design is that the application of E Points can enable customers to manage a loyalty card in Smartphone, add points, redeem rewards, obtain the latest promotional information through news features, and view transaction history.

Abstract

Business growth nowadays is very rapid. Most organization in all industry depends on information technology to compete in industrial competition. Before make a decision to invest in information technology, better to make planning for alignment between information technology and strategy that can brings benefit to company. The lack of information System strategic planning can have an impact on the achievement of the vision and mission of the organization.This research was conducted based on the framework by Ward & Peppard. Researchers interviewed the management and doing direct observation to determine the current business processes. Researchers also get the data by distributing questionnaires to the employees of the organization as well as literature. The result of this study is the composition of an application portfolio that contains information system strategic planning needs, management and infrastructure also performance measurement targets indication based on the results of the analysis of the Balanced Scorecard.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop methods and algorithms that could be applied as the underlying base for developing an object recognition tools. The method implemented in this research was initial problem identification, methods and algorithms testing and development, image database modeling, system development, and training and testing. As a result, the system can perform with 93,46% of accuracy for indoor object recognition. Even though the system achieves relatively high accuracy in recognizing objects, it is still limited to a single object detection and not able to recognize the object in real time.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze factors that affected the acceptance of e-billing system of Surakarta tax office with Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. The survey was done on electronic billing (e-billing) system users in Surakarta. Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLSSEM) was used to analyze the users? intention in adopting e-billing system. The result indicates that two UTAUT variables (performance expectancy and social influence) affect the system usage significantly. Meanwhile, the other variables like effort expectancy and facilitating conditions do not affect e-billing system adoption in Indonesia.
