Abstract

Ada indikasi bahwa pemahaman  bias atas tafsir teks-teks relasi gender bukan disebabkan oleh keyakinan akan  sakralitas agama, akan tetapi lebih disebabkan sebagai alasan ‘pembenar’ atau menjustifikasi perilaku tindak kekerasan yang dilakukan terhadap korban. Oleh karena itu, akar penyebab tindak KDRT bukan hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor pemahaman agama yang keliru, melainkan juga oleh faktor lain di luar agama, seperti  budaya patriarkhi, role mode; mitos KDRT yang  mengejawantah dalam kehidupan masyarakat; psikologis pelaku; faktor ekonomi dan idiologi harmoni. Faktor-faktor tersebut saling terkait erat dan tidak bisa berdiri sendiri sebagai alasan untuk menjustifikasi terjadinya  tindak KDRT.

Abstract

Studi terhadap strategi peningkatan kualitas pelayanan produk unggulan daerah untuk penciptaan kepuasan pengunjung ini dilakukan pada pasar grosir kota Pekalongan, yaitu pasar grosir Setono dan pasar grosir MM. Kajian ini meliputi aspek pelayanan penjualan yang meliputi dimensi pelayanan; atribut penjualan lainnya, karakteristik produk yang dijual, dan aspek kepuasan atas konstelasi pasar grosir. Adapun alat analisis yang digunakan adalah important performance analysis (IPA). Hasil riset ini mengungkap bahwa kepuasan pengunjung masih belum atau tidak puas. Untuk itu, hasil kajian ini memberi rekomendasi kepada pengelola grosir dan para pedagang pada kios-kios di pasar grosir-pasar grosir di Pekalongan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pada dimensi pelayanan, kualitas atribut penjualan, dan kualitas karakteristik produk yang dijualnya.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the widespread phenomenon of learning to read, write and count in early childhood around the District of Wiradesa, Pekalongan. Why such a phenomenon appears? How the model of learning to read, write and count in early childhood around the District of Wiradesa, Pekalongan? And how it impacts their ability to read, write and count and their psychological. To answer these questions, observation, in-depth interview and documentation were used in this study. To analysis data, review and reflection, exploration, and reduction were used. The results showed that the phenomenon of learning to read, write and count in early childhood in Pekalongan appeared on concerns of parents with a basic level of selection into the elementary school. Many early childhood activities were included in the part-time formal learning. Most of them also followed that lesson in educational institutions. Consequently, those who were following the course outside their formal school mastered faster, although their psychological impact tended to quickly become bored with learning. Meanwhile, the introduction of learning to read, write and count in early childhood in kindergarten was slower because it did not focus solely on that learning, but dominantly in play activities. On the one hand, the kids did not get bored and did not realize they were learning to read, write and count, because learning is integrated in play activities.

Abstract

There are three focus issues in this research, which reveal expectations of child labor on education; ideal school model in their view and the type of knowledge and skills required by them. Observation and in-depth interview were used to obtain data to answer the issues. This research took place in Pekalongan City. The collected data were analyzed by using the interactive model. The results of this study revealed that the majority of child labor still had hopes for an increase in knowledge and skills, while some others felt that the current conditions had been enough for them and they did not have any expectations about school and skills enhancement. It also revealed that the ideal school model in their imagination was that the time and place of learning was flexible, fun friends and teachers, many practical matter, the cost was affordable and it could be used as a vehicle for the development of their talent and creativity. While the knowledge and skills required by them were to sustain their daily needs, such as trading, operating computers, drawing cartoons, salon or beauty, cooking and automotive.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the capability of certified teachers of Islamic elementary school located in Pekalongan City in preparing lesson plan. Fourteen informants -- consist of 6 government teachers and 8 non-government teachers -- were investigated. The data were taken from the lesson plan documents prepared by them and then followed up with an interview. The results showed that: (1) there are many teachers who have not been able to develop their own learning devices, and (2) there are still very much in error that occurred in the lesson plan prepared by them. There are several constraints faced by them. They are: (1) their knowledge is still lack, their innovation and creativity were not maximized; (2) the pattern of development for them had not touched their academic aspect; (3) the orientation of the supervisions which only leaded to the administrative aspects; and (4) their independence lack in preparing learning device, which is part of the curriculum.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) how was the design of character building by learning mathematics, and (2) whether the character building by learning mathematics could produce better learning outcome of mathematics than conventional mathematics learning.To answer these two questions, I used Research and Development ( R & D ) which consists of a preliminary study to obtain preliminary data on student learning outcomes before being given treatments of character building by learning mathematics. The next phase is the design of the character building by learning mathematics. Further testing and revision in class and repeated until it found the best learning model. From the first problem formulation, qualitative data analysis, such as the design of character building in learning mathematics was produced. The results of the qualitative analysis shows, character building by learning mathematics was quite effectively applied to implant positive character in students. To answer the second question, statistical analysis was used. The population in this study was all students of class VII of MTsN in Buaran of Pekalongan which totaled 220. By random cluster sampling technique two classes (a class VII A and VII B) was chosen. Class VII A was as an experiment class, and class VII B was as a control class. Data were taken by the test method, experimental classroom observation, and documentation. The data was then processed with an average difference test. Results of statistical analysis obtained t = 3.33 > t table = 1.67. This meant that learning achievement of the students in the experimental class, which was implemented character education in mathematics was better than the students who were taught by conventional methods. Based on these results, it could be conclude that the character building in mathematics was better than the conventional method of learning mathematics.

Abstract

The focus of this study is on the negative behavior of the students that appear to hamper their adjustment ability. Deviant behavior arises from ineffective behavior to deviant behavior inappropriate performed by them, both from the social regulations and religious norms. Self reporting, self-disclosure, and interviews were used to obtain the data. Observations were also carried out to observe the physiological reactions, action subject spontaneity that occurred outside the control of the subject, due to mental stress or feeling, as a subject of psychological phenomena. Descriptive-interpretative analysis, as teoritized by Milles and Huberman, was used to analyze the data. This research found that 51 of the 83 students who lived in the area of prostitution still had a positive self-adjustment capability, although residing around or near the area of prostitution. While the rest (32 students) had various problem to adjust their behavior to the school code of conduct, social norms and religious norms. Their deviant behavior appeared in truant behavior. becoming a helper on a truck until cross the province, smoking, rough with friends and teachers, consumption of liquor and dextro pills, like dealing with spirits, search pander prostitutes, to do free sex . The factors that affected the appearance of their deviant behavior was their parents' behavior that was often out of control, as well as family members. Environment and school friends and networks outside the school also became a strong factor influencing the emergence deviant behavior.

Abstract

Higher education is one of the educational institutions that assist to realize the constitution mandate: to educate national citizen. Therefore, the lecturers as human resources of a college should have a reliable competence in order to support the realization of quality education. One of the competencies that should be possessed by the lecturer is pedagogic competence: their capability in understanding the foundation of education; understanding of the students; developing syllabus or curriculum; and managing the course. This study focused on: (1) the proficiency of STAIN Pekalongan’s non-trained lecturers at pedagogic competence; (2) the proficiency of STAIN Purwokerto’s nontrained lecturers at pedagogic competence. The results of this study showed that the proficiency of the non-trained lecturers of both STAIN Pekalongan and STAIN Purwokerto at pedagogic competence were still low. 21.55% of the non-trained lecturers of STAIN Pekalongan were proficient, 33.62% were less proficient, and 44.83% were not proficient. While at STAIN Purwokerto, 31.90% of its non-trained lecturers were proficient, 25.47% were less proficient, and 42.63% were not proficient. Overall, 26.72% of them (both those of STAIN Pekalongan and STAIN Purwokerto) were proficient, 29.55% were less proficient, and 43.73% were not proficient.

Abstract

State College of Islamic Studies of Pekalongan as an Islamic college under the Ministry of Religious Affairs has a great responsibility and a strategic role in developing character building. It is because STAIN is an institution of higher education that produces many Muslim intelectuals and religionists. Based on that, this study was aimed to understand in depth about the role of the institution, the learning system, and the programs that are being done by the Research and Community Center of the institution (P3M STAIN Pekalongan) in developing character building. Phenomenological approach was used to understand the subjective aspect of persons' behavior and the conceptual nature of them. The result showed that the character building in STAIN Pekalongan seemed to be representative enough. But in practice, however, got a very big challenge, either from inside education environment or from outside.

Abstract

This study focused on the role of Arabic teaching in increasing academic writing skill of the students of 2009 who were studying at Arabic Teaching Program of STAIN Pekalongan. The result showed that most of them (60%) declared not ready to write their minithesis in Arabic. They were not enough well-prepared in Arabic academic writing. Their grades in overall Arabic subject were 68 in range 0 - 100: starting at General Arabic (Arabic I, II, and III); structure (nahwu and Sharf), pronounciation (Qirâ-ah), listening (Istimâ’), speaking (Kalâm), up to writing skill (kitâbah). It verified that student who had a good grade in a lingual subject, like Arabics, is not equal with his language skill, especially in writing skill.
