Abstract

This paper discusses the meaning of ‘Usr and Yusr on QS. Al-Insyirah: 5-6. To understand the meaning of a word or structure of Quranic verses is highly complex. Thus, understanding semantically becomes an alternative, that is to reveal the synchronous and diachronic meanings. This study explains two conclusions. Firstly, the basic meaning is a meaning that is absolutely attached to the intended word, without being able to be changed by anyone as long as there is an agreement between the speakers. In obtaining the basic meaning of the word 'usr there are several meanings, among others: oppression, distress, being poor and so on. While the word yusr has the meaning das` ar as follows: easy, gentle, and so on. While the relational meaning is the meaning will change according to the elements that accompany it. The word 'usr there is a new meaning of meaning when juxtaposed with other words, as follows: oppressive, blackmail, precarious, and so on. While the relational meaning of the word yusr has several meanings: left wing troops, available, giving birth easily. Second, synchronicity is research by focusing on one particular period, whereas diachronic is research by considering the development of language from one time to another, both before and after. Then in the meaning of the Qur'an simplified into three parts: Pre-Qur'anic, Qur'anic and third post-Qur'anic.

Abstract

Halal tourism is one of the current trends in sharia business trends (State of the Global Islamic Economy 2017-2018). This proves that the term halal which was formerly just something that is permissible in Islam, has now become a necessity and lifestyle for Muslim communities in the country even on the international scene. Because these tours use halal branding that cannot be separated from Islamic sharia, this study aims to explain the concept of halal tourism in the Qur’anic perspective. This research is a qualitative research through research literature sourced from interpretation books both offline and online, journals relating to halal tourism propositions and other primary text sources. This study uses a descriptive analytical approach. The results of the literature review analysis show that the application of halal concepts in tourism is proof of the flexibility of Islamic sharia at a practical level. The argument regarding the command to consume halal products has been written in the Holy Qur’an, Surat al-Baqarah, verses 162 and 172, and looking for something lawful for every Muslim in daily life is to have a law that must be carried out, this is based on the Prophet’s words: “looking for the lawful is obligatory for every Muslim” (HR Thabrani). The tourism in the Qur’anic perspective is contained in the following verses: Q.S. Al-Mulk verse 15, Q.S. Al-’Ankabut verse 20, Q.S. Ali ‘Imron verses 137 and 191, Q.S. Al-’An’am verse 11, Q.S. An-Naml verse 69, QS. Al-Mu’min verses 21 and 64, Q.S. An-Nahl verse 36, Q.S. Ar-Rum verse 42. The sentence سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ in the Qur’an other than as a proposition for travel, the sentence instructs people to explore and explore all of Allah’s creation, because Allah also likes aesthetics or beauty. The application of the concept of halal on tourism is always accompanied by the implementation of the concept of thayyib and does not cause damage, because the combination of the concepts of halal and thayyib in travel will result in tourism full of blessings

Abstract

Women in religion and culture-historical study have a journey of oppression, adversity and, discrimination. Women have always been used as objects of pleasure and victims of lust for men. Many interpretations of religious texts discriminate against women. Many religious figures look down on women through their interpretation of the texts of Al-Qur'an and Sunnah. One of the interpretations is the opinion of the majority of community leaders about the prohibition of women as imams of congregational prayer. This research aims to determine the views of the community from Muhammadiyah, NU, HTI, and Malang Raya Mosque Management regarding the meaning of the hadith of women's delegation as imam (congregational prayer leader) from a social construction perspective. This research is included in the category of qualitative research using the sociological construction theory approach, and the science of hadith criticism. This researcher used a new model in the realm of hadith research, named living hadith. Data collection methods in this research were in-depth interviews and documentation. The selection of informants used a purposive sampling technique. The analytical technique used in this research was the Huberman and Miles interactive model, namely; data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The understanding of activists of religious organizations Muhammadiyah, NU, HTI, and Mosque Management regarding the hadith negation of women being imams of prayer can be classified into two models of understanding. There are textual and contextualist-hermeneutical. Public understanding of the hadith regarding the delegation of women to become imam comes from hadith, opinions of classical scholars, contemporary books, and also comes from the results of intuitive meanings that lead to conservative and progressive.

Abstract

The study of interpretation methodology is very important, because the activities of the interpretation of the Koran will continue to develop along with the pace of the times. Abdul Mustaqim has mapped the interpretation methodology into three parts. First, the interpretation of the classical period. Second, the interpretation of the middle period. Third, interpretation of the contemporary period. With this mapping, it is expected that the position of the interpretation methodology of Jamal al-Banna can be known making it easier for researchers to recognize the interpretive concepts they offer. In every generation there are always products of interpretation of the Koran that have different features and characteristics. The socio-cultural condition in which the interpreter lives and the background of the disciplines they pursue is a reality that influences their interpretation of the Qur'an. The emergence of contemporary interpretations as the development of a scientific discipline is also much influenced by the development and change of the scientific epistemology itself. In this contemporary era, the name Jamal al-Banna appears which offers a new methodology for interpretation. This Egyptian-born thinker criticizes the scientific tradition of interpretation that has developed over the years (both classical and contemporary). So do not be surprised if the various ideas are always controversial. This article tries to review the methodological and philosophical interpretation of Jamal al-Banna. Starting with the effort to deconstruct the interpretation of the results of all classical commentators, Jamal proposed three stages in the interpretation of the Koran, namely the art approach, psychological approach, and rational approach. All three are hierarchical stages to arrive at an interpretation. Having arrived at the interpretation stage, Jamal al-Banna does not recommend certain methods or limit certain knowledge as methods of interpretation analysis. He refused if one particular method has a guarantee as the only way to find the truth, because the Koran does not have to be limited. Some contemporary thinkers in the study of the Koran, such as Amin al-Khuli, Mohammed Syahrur, Mohammed Arkoun, Nashr Hamid Abu Zayd, and Orientalist views on the Koran also did not escape criticism. To find out more about Jamal's thought, this article uses a descriptive qualitative method and a philosophical-rationalistic approach with hermeneutics as the knife of analysis. Both of these methodologies are used to reveal the construct of Jamal's thought around the interpretation methodology that he built. This study contributes positively in order to broaden the insight of the study around the conceptual interpretation of the Koran. Because the spirit and problems faced by muslims today are growing and complex which demands the discovery of new methods in understanding the Koran more accommodatively and dynamically. Based on the method and approach above, it was found that the interpretation method conceived by Jamal wanted to place the Koran free of the various approaches that limit it. For Jamal, humans are very autonomous and free to interpret as long as it is in line with the humanist and universal principles contained in the Koran. Through the systematic-practical interpretation methodology offered above, it can facilitate the moslem community to comprehend the Koran comprehensively.
