Abstract

Abstract: Linguistic problem which is discussed in this research is about interference, it is error which is caused by first language ( L1 ) to second language ( L 2). scmorphology, vocabulary,and syntax. But in this reseach, it is limited on morphology. This research ains to de scribe Mandailing language interference in Indonesian writing from the word, kinds, and the caused. This research uses qualitative research and used descriptive method. The object of this research is the VIII grade students of MTS Baharuddin writing. The data of this research is the words in sentence which contain of mandailing language morphological  interference in students’ writing. The instrument of this research is performance test. The data collection is done by grouping the words which is interferenced into the work analysis table. The result of the research shows that morphological interference of Mandailing in students’ Indonesian writing of theVIII grade students of MTS Baharuddin. First, there are Mandailing language interference in Indonesian include 40 words from (1) such as ( nominal, verbal, adjective and conjunction), (2) affixation, (3) reduplication, and (4) composition. Second, productive interfernce, reseptive and psycological interference. Third, factors which caused the interference in students’ writing are : (1) the influence of first language, (2) the lack of understanding on the language which is used, and (3) unsuitable language teaching . so that, it can be concluded that based on the data found, the interference which is seen in the students’ writing is still fair, it means because the students are influenced by bilingual of the students. Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the problem that is happening in VIII year students if MTsN Kamang. The writer chooses the students ability in writing news because the students get low score, it is 73 (below the KKM). The writer predicts that there is a link between students motivation in studying and students’ knowledge about news structure. The writer does this research describe how big the contribution of studying motivation and structure news in writing news.The population of this is the VIII year students of MTsN Kamang, consists of 120 students. The writer uses analysis desrciptive method. The technic that is used in this research is simple random sampling with 35 students in this research. The research is using some instruments such as questionnaire, optional test which is used to measure the news structure knowledge, and the writing test is used to measure the ability in writing news. Next, the data is processed using product moment formula, double correlation, F test, double regression test to know how the contribution between the variable. According to the result of the research, the writer concludes: (1) the contribution of studying motivation in writing news ability is 6,10%; (2) the contribution of structure news knowledge is 16%; (3) the contribution of studying motivation and structure news knowledge in writing news is 21,16%. Thus, the writer concludes that studying motivation and structure news knowledge give the contribution in VIII year students of MTsN Kamang ability.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan  bentuk, fungsi dan konteks penggunaan  ungkapan tabu tabu oleh peserta Indonesia Lawyers Club.  Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan adalah sebagai berikut; (1) berdasarkan bentuknya ungkapan tabu yang ditemukan dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu berdasarkansatuan gramatikal  terdiri dari kata dan frase, dan brdasarkan sumber referensnya  dapat dikelompokkan sembilan, yaitu (a) ungkapan tabuyang bersumber dari keadaan,  (b) ungkapan tabu yang berhubungan dengan kotoran, (b) ungkapan tabuyang berhubungan dengan  binatang, (c) ungkapan tabu yang berhubungan dengan  agama, (d) ungkapan tabuyang berhubungan dengan sifat, (e) ungkapan tabuyang  berhubungan dengan perbuatan (f) ungkapan tabuyang  berhubungan dengan makhluk ghaib, (g) ungkapan tabuyang berhubungan dengan kebijakan pemerintahan, (h) ungkapan tabuyang  berhubungan dengan  aktivitas seks, (2) berdasarkan fungsi ditenemukan 5 fungsi ungkapan tabu, yaitu a) makian (b) menunjukkan kekesalan atau kemarahan (c)menyindir, (d) merendahkan, dan (e) mengolok-olok. Selanjutnya, ,untuk penggunaan konteks bahasa tabu ini meliputi konteks kemarahan, mengejek, berkomentar, meminta jawaban, dan menanggapi jawaban. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the following .First , describe the critical reading skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang . Second , describe the argument essay writing skills class students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang VIII . Third , to describe the relationship between critical reading and writing essays arguing eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang . The data of this study are the results of tests conducted on 26 to 28 November 2013 . The first test a number of questions about the objective with 30 items , which according to the indicator . The second test which tests the performance of the argument essay writing test . The data have been collected and analyzed statistically using the product moment formula . The results of the data analysis and discussion of the research results , we can conclude the following three points . First , the critical reading skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang are in good qualifying ( 77.11 ). Second , the argument essay writing skills eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang are in good qualifying ( 80.27 ) . Third , there is a significant correlation ( mean ) between students' critical reading skills and writing skills essay argument eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang at the 95 % significance level with n - 1 degrees of freedom is obtained t_hitung t_tabel = 4.65 and 1.70 in the sense t_hitung t_tabel is greater than 4.65 > 1.70 .

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekomentaskan pantun Badondong sebagai kajian sastra lisan untuk menjelaskan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pantun Badondong.Hasil penelitian ini adalah pantun Badondong dan di dalam pantun Badondong terkandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter sebagai berikut. (1) Nilai-nilai pendidikan yang berhubungan dengan ketuhanaan, yang bersifat rligius. (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang berhubungan dengan diri sendiri yang terdiri atas indikator kejujuran, bertanggung jawab, disiplin, kerja keras, percaya diri, mandiri, dan ingin tahu. (3) Nilai-nilai pendidikan  yang berhubungan dengan sesama yang terdiri atas indikator sadar akan kewajiban diri, patuh pada aturan social, santun, kesetiaan, dan kasih sayang. (4) Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang berhubungan dengan lingkungan yang terdiri dari indikator peduli terhadap social, lingkungan dan sportifitas. Keempat nilai ini, dapat diimplikasikan bagi perkembangan bidang ilmu bahasa, sastra, dan budaya.   Kata Kunci: pantun badondong, nilai, dan pendidikan karakter

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research was the problem at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan about advertisement writing skill. The problems were less precise to make title creation, to made advertisement text,  to made picture visualization, and giving slogan. To solve this problem, it needed learning module which was developed based contextual approach. The type of this research was development by applying 4D (define, design, develop, and disseminate) Instrument of this research used the module validity questionnaire, the module practicality questionnaire for teacher and students, and test sheet for task. Module had been tested to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan which had been previously validated. The data analyzing technique used descriptive statistics to get percentage practicality and effectiveness of learning module.The result of this research was a module development based contextual in advertisement writing subject where: (1) designed module was valid, it was categorized “very valid” which include valid in terms of content, language, presentation and graphics (2) designed module was practically to be used which include practically in terms of easy and time (3) designed module was effective in increasing students’ activity and students’ motivation in advertisement writing subject, it could be seen from students’ activity and students’ achievement by using test performance. Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted due to some misunderstanding occurring between the students and the teachers. It derived from the students who did not understanding the function and purpose of the teacher’s discourse. They were not well understood by thee students as the forms and strategies applied were inappropriate to the situation and condition which the utterances produced.The purpose of this research was to describe and analyze the directive speech acts teacher’s in the learning process in MTs Riadhus Sholihin, Koto Baru, Kabupaten Sijunjung in terms of form, speak strategies, and students responses to the speech act. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collected through observation interviews, and recording on the discharge of duties of teacher’s in MTs Riadhus Sholihin, Koto Baru, Kabupaten Sijunjung. Analyzing data is descriptively. The research data in the form of a directive speech acts teacher’s in the learning process of teachers in MTs Riadhus Sholihin, Koto Baru, Kabupaten Sijunjung. The research data were analyzed by using a Unitied Padan Ekstralingual Method. Based on the research result of directive speech acts teachers in the learning processes in MTs Riadhus Sholihin, Koto Baru, Kabupaten Sijunjung concluded the following. First, the speech acts that are found are (1) send, (2) begging, (3) demanding, (4) advice, and (5) challenging. Second, the strategy speech spoken in realizing directive by the teacher in the learning process in MTs Riadhus Sholihin, Koto Baru, Kabupaten Sijunjung there are three kinds namely (1) strategy frankly speak directly, (2) strategy speak francely with pleasantries and positive politeness, and (3) strategy vaguely recalled. Third, student responses related to the student’s responses to speech act of teachers. Student’s responses in MTs Riadhus Sholihin, Koto Baru, Kabupaten Sijunjung to the speech act of teacher’s are more likely to respond verbally positive connotation. Abstract

Abstract: This study was generated from the problem of students’ ability in writing news texts ini class VIII, SMPN 1 Panti. Some of the problem were (1) lack of the students’ response towards news writing teaching and learning process, (2) lack of teacher’s creativity in designing interesting news sriting learning model, (3) no appropriate creative techniques applied by the teacher which could train the students to develop their skill in writing news texts, and (4) lack of the students’ motivation in participating in teaching and learning process because of their lack of understanding in the elements of news. Thus, this study was aimed at escribing the effect of the students’ ability ini writing news texts in class VIII SMP N 1 Panti. This was a quantitative research with factorial 2x2 experimental design. The population was the students in class VIII SMPN 1 Panti. Sampling technique wa done by using random sampling and the data was collected through questionnaire and test. The result of the study revealed that cooperative learning model with STAD mind mapping type affected the students’ ability in writing news texts. Abstract

Abstrak: Painglimo Awang story is a literary works of verbal. The narration of Panglimo Awang is a tradition of Malay culture that happens in Pasir Pengaraian. This research was written to describe the values contained in Panglimo Awang Narrative. This research is a qualitative research used descriptive analysis method of content descriptive analysis method  . The object of this research is a narrative text of Panglimo Awang  that  data was collected from spiritual messenger called Tukang Koba . this research data is all of culture and education values that contained in opening sentences, utterance and character of figure in narrative text of Panglimo Awang.The result of this research is presented in form of cultural and education values as following: (1) cultural values about the essence of relationship between human and community with indicatorsrespect each others, responsible and advise, (2) the values of religious education with indicators namely believe in god, sincere and grateful, (3) the values of education such as, toughness, responsible, and hard working (4) the values of education concerns by indicators like  polite, friendly, nation spirit, and forgiving. Those four cultural and educational values can be implemented in formal education, especially in learning Bahasa Indonesia.   Kata kunci: nilai-nilai, budaya, pendidikan, bukoba

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan melestarikan dan mengembangkan bahasa Melayu Kampar KiriPenelitian tentang kategori fatis ini adalah penelitian kualitatif  dengan menggunakan metode deskriftif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Desa Kuntu Darussalam Kampar Kiri, Kabupaten Kampar. Dari ibu kota provinsi Riau Pekanbaru berjarak lebih kurang150 km. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan adalah sebagai berikut;(1) Dari segi bentuk ditemukan lima jenis kategori fatis, fatis (lah, kan, tio, tie), kategori kata fatis (a, la, ah, alah, gai, ciek, dek, do, lo, de, ha, he, ka, ma, malah, ko, nyo, nye, liok, ko, oi, tu, tuh, yo, e, garan, doi), kategori frasa fatis (assalamu’alaikum, wa’alaikumsalam, insyaallah, alhamdulilah, yarhakumullah, syukurlah, syukur alhamdulilah), kategori paduan fatis (do..ah, do..ha, ko..a, ko..ha, tu..ha, ko..mah, tuh..mah, ciek..ko),  dan kategori gabungan fatis (a..do, do..a, ha..lai, mah..do, do..mah, gai..do). Dari segi makna kategori fatis di dalam bahasa Melayu Riau Dialek Kampar Kiri pada umumnya menyatakan paksaan halus, bantahan, penolakan, kekesalan, kegemasan, keheranan, ketidakpedulian, dan sebagai basa-basi belaka.Dari segi distribusi kategori fatis dalam Bahasa Melayu Riau Dialek Kampar Kiri dapat menduduki posisi diawal, di tengah dan di akhir. Serta dari fungsi kategori fatis dalam Bahasa Melayu Riau Dialek Kampar Kiri pada umumnya berfungsi untuk bertugas memulai, mengakhiri, mematahkan dalam pembicaraan, pembuktian dalam pembicaran, mengukuhkan pembicaraan, menegaskan dalam pembicaraan, serta menyakinkan dalam pembicaraan.
