Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the marketing efficiency of buffalo livestock in the cultural context of Kodi, Kodi Bangedo District, Southwest Sumba Regency. The research used a mixed-methods approach (quantitative and qualitative) through surveys of 30 farmers, in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and stakeholders, and field observations. The results show that the total marketing value from producers was IDR 1,521,000,000 (98 heads), and the end consumers' purchase value was IDR 1,661,000,000, resulting in a marketing margin of IDR 140,000,000. The average marketing efficiency rate was 27.99%, indicating the marketing system is not yet optimal. Kodi culture plays a significant role in determining distribution patterns and price mechanisms, where transactions are still dominated by social relationships and local networks. This study recommends developing shorter marketing channels and integrating cultural values into marketing strategies to improve farmers' economic efficiency.

Abstract

The development of the agro-industry in Batu City has spurred the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), including those involved in tempeh processing. However, many MSMEs have not conducted comprehensive financial feasibility assessments to ensure business sustainability. This study aimed to analyze the financial feasibility of the tempeh processing business at UMKM Rizky Jaya and test its resilience to cost fluctuations through sensitivity analysis. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies. A Feasibility analysis utilized indicators such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), Break-Even Point (BEP), and Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C). The business generates an annual net profit of IDR 262,645,791 with an NPV of IDR 607,995,760 (at a 10% discount rate), IRR of 90%, PP of 389 days, BEP of 10,395 units, and R/C Ratio of 1.35. The tempeh processing business at UMKM Rizky Jaya is financially viable and shows strong resilience to market fluctuation risks. This study recommends the need for product diversification and technology utilization to enhance long-term competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of financial literacy on the resilience of food-sector MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), with fintech adoption as a supporting variable, to address the research gap concerning the interaction between financial competence and technology adoption in the context of economic digitalization. A quantitative survey of 50 food-sector MSME actors in Blitar City who have used fintech services was analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that financial literacy has a significant and strong influence on business resilience (? = 0.47; p 0.01), while fintech adoption has a positive but more moderate effect (? = 0.22; p 0.05). The model explains 45% of the variance in MSME resilience. These findings reinforce the resource-based view theory by affirming that internal capability (financial literacy) is a key resource that is enhanced by technology (fintech) to build resilience. The implication is that MSME empowerment programs should integrate financial training with guided adoption of digital technology in a comprehensive manner
