Abstract

Various problems in learning to write poetry are factors that trigger the low ability to write poetry for fifth grade students of SD Negeri in Kedungjati District. Problems experienced by students in learning to write poetry include teacher explanations that tend to be boring, motivation, difficult to express ideas, and the most problematic problems for students are learning models that tend to be monotonous. Effective learning models become one of the important factors for teachers or students in improving students' ability to write the poem. One learning model that can improve students' writing skills is Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model, because the STAD model can collaborate several language skills, and requires students to work together in groups. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of learning to write poetry with the STAD model. This research uses a quasi-experimental method. The subject of this research was the fifth grade students of elementary school in Kedungjati Subdistrict 2017/2018 Academic Year. Data collection uses tests and non-tests. Data analysis techniques using t test with the help of SPSS program. The results of learning to write poetry between before and after being given learning to write poetry with the STAD model with the acquisition of t count = 7.848 with sig < 0.05. The results of this research indicate that learning to write poetry with the STAD model can effectively improve students' poetry writing skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of Think Talk Write learning with realia media compared to expository learning on students' mathematical communication ability. This study applied a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. Sampling was done by using simple random sampling technique; therefore, the sample obtained was SD N 9 Panggang as the experimental class and SD N 2 Bulu as the control class with a total of 78 students. The data collection technique used in this study was the achievement test of learning outcomes by comparing the test scores of the two groups by using the z-test and t-test. The results showed that the Think Talk Write learning with realia media was effective in improving students' mathematical communication ability as indicated by the acquisition of z-test results obtained by zcount > ztable = 2.868 > 0.174 which means that students who were taught by using Think Talk Write had achieved classical completeness by 75%. These results were supported by the results of the independent sample t-test which showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 smaller than 0.05, which means that the average value of mathematical communication ability of students who follow the Think Talk Write learning with realia media was higher than the expository. Think Talk Write learning with realia media can be used as an easy solution for teachers to improve students 'mathematical communication ability.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the difference improvement of critical thinking skills by using inquiry model assisted with monopoly media with direct instruction learning model in Primry Schools. The method used in this research was a type of quantitative research methods especially Non equivalent of pre-test and post-test control group design was used with 77 students as the research subjects of Diponegoro distric at Sempor Kebumen. The data collection techniques used were test, interviews, observation. The results of the present research showed that the critical thinking skills of students by using inquiry model assisted with monopoly media is better than those taught by direct instruction learning model and the result of the t-test obtained significance value of 0.003 < 0.05. The percentage of critical value of subject matter of Science Learning based on students worksheets (LKS) and experiments for high critical criteria are 13.88%, critical criteria 66.67%, moderate critical criteria 19.44%. Then, the average final scores of students in the experimental class was 80.52% and the control class was 74.63%, While the stage of average critical thinking was at the level 4 which is to formulate arguments and determine the outcome of the consideration by the integration between initial concept and experiment. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of inquiry model assisted with monopoly media is more effective used than that of direct instruction learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop interactive multimedia learning to introduce religious and moral values (prayer and ablution) for kindergarten. Multimedia forms in compact disk (CD) format. This research method is research and development. The subjects of this research were 47 students of kindergarten. The results of the research have been developed by Interactive Multimedia Learning in kindergarten students with good categories according to expert validation and suitable for learning. Based on t-test obtained tvalue is smaller than ttable = 0.05 which shows that the implementation of Interactive Learning Ablution and Prayer Multimedia can significantly introduce religious and moral values. By implementing CDs on learning students can get to know the stage of ablution and prayer and practice them. In practice there are still difficulties experienced by student. In ablution activities that is when washing feet and prayer activities while sitting between two prostrations.

In the learning management activities, the fourth grade teacher of Islamic Elementary School in Karanganyar did not fully teach in accordance with the Learning Implementation Plan. At the end of the learning activities include concluding the learning that has been done, checking the understanding of students, giving questions about evaluating or giving assignments, and closing the learning with prayer. The conservation character that emerges in the activity of initiating the learning was religious. The activity of managing learning raises honest, intelligent, responsible, tolerant, democratic and polite characters. Abstract

The learning process of Social Science (IPS) in Elementary School has not been yet optimum because teachers lacked knowledge about the contextual approach, had limited learning resources, namely teaching materials as well as the inability to develop teaching materials. Therefore, this study attempted to produce Central Java local wisdom-based contextual Social Science teaching materials with the theme of “Indahnya Kebersamaan” (The Beauty of Togetherness) for the fourth grade level of Elementary School (SD). This study employed Research and Development (R & D) method with the trial design of pre-test and post-test control group. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used to examine the effectiveness of the teaching materials was N-Gain test by comparing pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental class and the control class. Further, the results of this study showed that: (1) there was a need on the development of Social Science teaching materials which could be used as learning resources to improve the Social Science learning quality in Elementary School. Additionally, the developed teaching materials were declared valid by having the average score of 84.38 with very valid criterion and very well applicable, (2) the characteristics of the developed teaching materials contained 7 components of the contextual approach which utilized Central Java local wisdom, and (3) the effectiveness test of the teaching materials showed that the experimental class achieved higher cognitive learning outcome with the N-Gain value of 0.46 than the control class of 0.19. In conclusion, the developed teaching materials can be used by teachers and students as learning resources in the learning process of Social Science to improve its quality.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for teachers to conduct assessment or assessment practices that are in line with the demands of the curriculum. The research aims to: (1) develop an assessment of the learning process in mathematics class V SDN; (2) improve the quality of assessment instruments for the mathematics learning process in the fifth grade of Karanganyar District Elementary School drawing space based on the 2013 curriculum. This type of research is R & D with the observation method. The results of the preliminary research in the form of observations of instruments that will be developed show that the instrument is in the medium category of 22 items and is in the bad category of 4 items. Subsequently given material enrichment which finally can improve the quality of the instrument into 19 medium categories and 7 good category questions. This R & D research uses instrument trials ranging from observation, instrument development to implementation. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, carried out in SD Negeri Karangnyar Regency class V with the subject of Drawing Geometry. Results of the research: at the initial stage (observation) there were 4 instruments in the bad category and 22 in the medium category. The revision is done by providing material reinforcement on items 17 and 19, which is about drawing perspective lines on pyramid and prisms. The development phase (test of improvement) experienced the medium category of 19 instruments and good categories into 7 instruments. The implementation phase of the instrument in the medium category 3 instruments is in the category of 23 instruments. So that it can be concluded that "the development of an assessment instrument for the process of learning mathematics drawing up the space in the Karanganyar District Elementary School level" is worthy of use because it has increased students can concretize a picture of a rib that does not appear to be a perspective image and from the stages that must be passed in the instrument development procedure.
