Abstract

Similar to other graduates of the Faculty of Islamic Education and Teaching, those graduated from the Islamic Education Management study program are also educators,prophetic super-leader based on cognizance intelligence (ma’rifat)- which is an empiricalform of the sense of God presence when the God Spot – an analysis by Zohar andMarshall- works. Prophetic super-leaders are professional managers encouraging learningmotivation and organizing education in more civilized way within national framework.Whereas, the Islamic Education Management learning process is based on the IslamicEducation Management Technique and built upon Islamic Education ManagementScience, that is derived from the Islamic Education Management Philosophy.Meanwhile, this philosophical aspect is rooted on the philosophy of Tarbiya which infact is an applied Islamic philosophy. Therefore, the Faculty of Islamic Education andTeaching urgently needs to arrange Tarbiya philosophy as vision accomplishment of being“Excellent and Outstanding in Integrating and Developing Islamic Education andScience for Civilization” since the Tarbiya philosophy and its derivation are foundationof the mission implementation of “Developing Education Based on Islamic, Sciencetific,Tehcnological, Art, and Indonesian context.” Without such an independent theory, thepractice of Islamic Education will only be a kind of follower instead of leader or superleader. At least, there shuld be an obvious statement that the adopted theory is notagainst the concept of Ma’rifah in Islam.

Abstract

Abstract This study examines the strategies implemented for education marketing services in Islamic education institutions. This research is motivated by the efforts to develop the quality of Islamic education institutions, so that they could compete with other organizations. Education marketing services are intended to create a conducive and stable marketing condition, so as to have a positive impact on the parties involved in the marketing process (both the school as the producer and the community as consumers). Based on the results of the study, which was conducted at the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Yogyakarta, it was found that Islamic education institutions also implement various strategies in marketing their educational services. The marketing strategy in MAN 1 Yogyakarta is carried out through the application of marketing mix theory (products, prices, places, promotions, human resources, physical evidence, and processes) by utilizing its superior competences as an Islamic educational institution that tends to have moderate ideology, so it can target Muslim communities both from traditional and modern backgrounds as the marketing segment of their educational services. Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the principles of quality management system (SMM) ISO 9001:2008 in VOCATIONAL SCHOOL of economics. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected using the documentation, interviews with principals, quality management representative (WMM), 2 teachers, and 3 students, and observation. The results show that the application of the principles of the ISO 9001:2008 at SMM SMK Economics Depok went well. This is evidenced by the existence of the school’s business that always maintains customers’ trust, a curriculum which is in accordance with the educational enhancement principles, the implementation of the planned program and goals, the involvement of the entire school’s members, continuous evaluation, problems resolution based on existing data and facts, and the mutual cooperation between the school and other parties. The results of this research is expected to be able to provide insight to the school’s principal to always foster a shared commitment to the various parties in the schools in regard to the implementation of the principles of the ISO SMM 9001:2008.   Keywords: The quality of education, the principles of SMM 9001:2008, ISO quality management system (SMM)

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of lesson-plan in Pondok Pesantren Takwinul Muballighin Yogyakarta. The qualitative descriptive research method is used in conducitng this research. The research subjecs consist of ustadz who is the founder pf the pesantren, two of teaching-learning staff, and six students. The data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation which is then analysed using interactive model of Milles and Michael Huberman consisting of three concurrent steps, namely data reduction, data display, and deduction. This research found that Pondok Pesantren Takwinul Muballighin Yogyakarta principally prepares the syllabus and the instructional planning as the lesson-plan. However, it has not been well- documented since Pondok Pesantren Takwinul Muballighin Yogyakarta is a non-formal religious education institution in which syllabus and lesson plan is not necessarily be structured like formal education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tipe kepemimpinan organisasi otonom Muhammadiyah dalam penerapan nilai-nilai religiusitas di Madrasah Mu’alimat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pengambilan data secara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan diverifikasi setelah itu ditarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) tipe kepemimpinan siswi dalam organisasi otonom Muhammadiyah adalah maskulin dan transformasional, (2) usaha dalam penerapan nilai-nilai religiusitas dalam organisasi adalah melalui lima dimensi berikut, yaitu religious belief, religious practice, religious feeling, religious knowledge, dan religious effect, (3) hasil tipe kepemimpinan terhadap nilai-nilai religiusitas dalam organisasi terwujud melalui kedisiplinan mematuhi kode etik dan disiplin ibadah (sholat tepat waktu); keteladanan berdo’a sebelum dan sesudah melakukan suatu kegiatan organisasi; adanya rasa empati terhadap sesama dengan gerakan infak dalam organisasi; semakin termotivasi dan semangat mewujudkan visi dan misi organisasi; dapat mengaktualisasikan diri sebagai panitia kegiatan Taruna Melati (TM), kajian Obrolan Jum’at Kekinian (OJK), dan Kajian Tri Mingguan (Karim) dalam organisasi IPM, sedangkan pada organisasi HW, anggota “Aspel” (Asisten Pelatih) HW menjadi lebih berani mengajar/melatih ilmu kepanduan pada anggota “Pasti” (pasukan inti HW MTs) dan pada tingkat Athfal yaitu anak-anak SD Muhammadiyah Kauman

Abstract

Salah satu isu utama yang muncul pada ranah manajemen pengetahuan adalah pembahasan mengenai pemetaan pengetahuan. Area studi ini berkaitan dengan pengelolaan pengetahuan yang dimiliki sebuah organisasi sehingga diharapkan aset pengetahuan tersebut dapat diakses oleh seluruh anggota organisasi. Peta pengetahuan menjadi suatu hal yang krusial dalam sebuah lembaga atau institusi sebagai bagian dari upaya untuk pengembangan manajemen pengetahuan. Dalam makalah ini, penulis pertama akan memberikan definisi pengetahuan dan peta pengetahuan, kemudian menjelaskan ‘siapa’ yang terlibat dalam peta pengetahuan, dasar konseptual pembuatan peta pengetahuan, menganalisa teknologi untuk pemetaan pengetahuan, membahas tentang peta pengetahan dinamis, dan terakhir mendiskusikan peta pengetahuan dalam dunia akademik.

Abstract

This paper is intended to express the concept and dynamics of curriculum change of Pondok Pesantren Universitas Islam Indonesia. The importance of the problem discussedis related to curriculum that is used by Pondok Pesantren as one of the foundations ofthe development of Islamic educational institutions that would potentially affect thedevelopment of Islamic education in Indonesia in general. The concept of curriculumwhich is applied does not follow the national curriculum that is used at school or college.The result of the research showed that there is a change in the destination and settingof the curriculum of Pondok Pesantren Universitas Islam Indonesia that referred toUniversitas Islam Indonesia’s aim to be World Class University. The change affectedthe content of the curriculum, teaching materials, and the learning methods. A changeimpact on the activity of students who are not only prepared to be a mujtahid , but moregeared to hone the ability of thinking and researching .

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the level of effectiveness of the management of Islamic education in the Department of Islamic Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The focus is on curriculum management component, infrastructure, governance, and public relations. This  is a quantitative research using survey as its technique. The subject of this research are the chairman and the secretary of the Department of Islamic Education, 28 professors, administrative staff, and 270 students. The data is collected through observation, documentation, interviews and  questionnaire. The data is analyzed using SPSS Program version 2.0. The results showed that in terms of management (1) the curriculum reached high level of effectiveness of 81,29%, (2) the infrastructures also leveled in high category of 80,08%, (3) governance leveled at good (74,13%), and (4) public relations reached high category of 76,88%.   Keywords: Management Of Islamic Education, Islamic Studies

Abstract

Nyai (wife of Kiai/pesantren leader) holds an essential role in pesantren management, particularly pertaining to the process of taking care of and nurturing the pesantren tradition. This research investigates leadership typology of Nyai Nur Latifah in Ma’had ‘Aly Nurul Jadid Probolinggo in maintaining Kitab Kuning studies. Employing phenomenological approach of qualitative study, this research collect the data through observation, indepth interview, and documentation. This research found that: (1) the leadership type of Nyai Nur Latifah in preserving Kitab Kuning studies can be categorized as democratic and charismatic; (2) there are two factors supporting her leadership: internal factors (religious competence and technological application ability), and external factors (support from family council, special assembly for Kitab Kuning, and  the guidance in Kitab Kuning reading (BMK), whereas, the challenging factors are related to internal situation such as multiple roles as the leader of Fatayat NU and recitation, as well as external factors such as the decreased preference of students to learn Kitab Kuning and the negative impact of technology.

Abstract

 AbstractVortex of globalization necessitates a school establishes certain advantages and challenges of the proliferation of educational institutions, if private schools are not improving the human resource and does not indicate a particular advantage innovations from other schools will be degraded public trust. A school principal requires a model of leadership in creating a level of trust and quality of academic services that exceed the expectations of internal and external school school. School leadership puts the organization a competitive advantage as a core value as the value inherent in a school community. The competitive advantage of the organization is how the organization creates value service performance advantages of low cost and product differentiation. Two such approaches are needed schools that want to deliver maximum quality academic services and demonstrate excellence by means of efficiency. The goal is to assess school leadership based on core values, characteristics of quality implementation in schools and the implementation of the concept of quality assurance systems. Three objectives are based on research and discussion of literature that leadership with the guarantee is related to the value system that was built through the vision that inspired each school community. The vision of leadership based on values ​​that are mutually agreed upon has spawned a school of excellence amidst the proliferation of educational institutions. Educational institutions are not seen as a social investment, but the institution has become a noble industry. Based on the explanation, the leadership of principals need to have different perspectives on quality assurance paradigm is very different between the service field service with the service areas of goods.
