Propeller merupakan salah satu komponen pada kapal penangkap ikan yang memiliki fungsi untuk menggerakan kapal. Efisiensi dari propeller kapal sangat berpengaruh langsung terhadap mesin utama penggerak pada kapal penangkap ikan. Beberapa kondisi, propeller kapal dirancang untuk menyerap daya seminimal mungkin dan memberikan efisiensi gerak kapal semaksimal mungkin. Gaya rotasi propeller kapal akan menciptakan gaya dorong kapal. Gaya yang bekerja pada propeller kapal terjadi karena adanya gaya dari dorongan dan gaya centrifugal serta torsi dari propeller kapal pada setiap blade yang disebabkan revolusi di sekitar sumbu putar propeller kapal. Oleh karena itu, perhitungan tegangan yang dihasilkan dari gaya-gaya pada propeller kapal sangat sulit di perhitungkan secara akurat. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) telah menjadi solusi untuk memprediksi dari suatu kekuatan material yang tidak dapat ditunjukkan dalam teoritis dan memungkinkan desainer untuk melihat semua gaya secara teoritis yang terjadi pada model. Penelitian ini menggunakan material paduan tembaga yang memiliki number of element sebesar 406674 dan jumlah nodes 640321. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu tegangan maksimu Von Mises yaitu sebesar . Sedangkan nilai regangan maksimum yaitu sebesar 0,2448 dan nilai displacement maksimum sebesar 133 mm. Nilai safety factor pada penelitian ini sangat rendah yaitu 0. Sehingga geometri desain model propeller sangat rawan terjadi kegagalan atau deformasi saat diaplikasikan.

Las titik (spot welding) termasuk las tahanan listrik. Jenis ini merupakan metode yang paling banyak digunakan dan paling sederhana. Hasil proses pengelasan spot welding perlu diketahui secara detail karena akan berdampak pada kekuatan geser dan kekerasan hasil pengelasan, secara mekanik pasangan elektroda dan lembaran plat perlu diperhatikan tekanan elektroda pada lembaran plat, hal ini perlu reference sifat fisik kekerasan permukaan elektroda terhadap lembaran plat dan sebagai acuan awal pada pemilihan material pasangan elektroda dan lembaran plat dengan ketebalan 0,8 mm, maka perlu diketahui komposisi elektroda dan lembaran plat. Hasil uji pasangan material elektroda (Cu) dan lembaran plat (Fe), setelah dilakukan eksperimen uji spectrometric diperoleh bahwa elektroda memiliki kandungan Cu yang balance dan Lembaran plat memiliki kandungan Fe yang mendominasi namun memiliki Carbon kurang dari 0,25%, maka hal tersebut lembaran plat memiliki kategori karbon rendah, dan dari hasil uji kekerasan menunjukkan Elektroda memiliki nilai kekasaran 130 HV, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa elektroda kategori class 2 [10] dan lembaran plat memiliki kekasaran 128 HV, kecenderungan nilai kekasaran material elektroda lebih besar dari lembaran plat.

The development of sharing economy that happened exponentially has changed the accommodation sector in the tourism and hospitality industry. The varied customer experience, facilities, and range of prices offered has made this business model an alternative to traditional accommodation services and is a favorite among tourists. The rapid development of information technology facilitates many online platforms that provide property rental services with the concept of sharing economy. This makes the tourism and hospitality industry rich in data. This study aims to analyze data on property rental advertisements focusing on short vacation services with a case study of Airbnb data in Singapore. The results of the study are expected to be used by new players or old players in the business as one of the considerations of situation analysis for making decisions. The analysis was carried out to obtain patterns and relationships from data related to prices, room types, and property distribution in the form of diagrams and maps. This study uses a visual data analysis approach using the Python programming language.

Information technology has a significant role in the education field. One of the critical roles of information technology is in the form of managing the incoming and outgoing mails. State Polytechnic of Cilacap as a higher education institution feels this role. In this research, the author intends to develop the information systems of the incoming and outgoing mails which is accessible for mobile. The development of this information system implements the waterfall process model. The result of the user testing showed that 75% of the users responded it as excellent, 17% of the users responded it as good, and the rest responded it as enought.

The sugar industry is a very important industry in Indonesia to meet the needs of the domestic market. One of the products of the sugar company is white crystal sugar. In the process of producing white sugar there is a fluid called Massecuite. Massecuite is a mixture of fluid crystals of sugar and water. Massecuite can cause sedimentations and blockages in the pipeline from the heater to the feed mixer. The line pipe from the reheater to the feed mixer has been redesigned. But the line pipe has not been designed for laying penyangga and evaluate piping stress. So that the line pipe needs to be designed for laying penyangga and evaluate piping stress. Evaluation of piping stress accordance to ASME B31.3 Process Piping. This evaluation aims to ensure that the line pipe design comply with ASME B31.3 requirements. The evaluation results evidence that the stress in the line pipe from the reheater to the feed mixer still meets the ASME B31.3 criteria. The line pipe design from the reheater to the feed mixer can be declared safe.

Pendaftaran mahasiswa baru merupakan proses administrasi yang terjadi disetiap perguruan tinggi. Proses pendaftaran calon mahasiswa di Universitas Islam Riau dilakukan dengan cara pengisian kertas formulir oleh calon mahasiswa, kemudian data tersebut diinputkan kembali oleh panitia menggunakan komputer secara offline. Kesalahan penginputan ulang data calon mahasiswa oleh panitia PMB sering terjadi. Oleh karena itu, dibangun sistem yang memanfaatkan teknologi QR Code yang diharapkan mengurangi resiko terjadinya kesalahan entri data dan efisiensi dalam mengurangi spam pada form pendaftaran online.

The use of natural fiber as reinforcement for epoxy polymer composites is currently a concern for researchers because it is environmentally friendly so it can replace glass fiber or carbon in engineering applications. Palm fiber is a type of natural fiber that is produced by the cooking oil industry as a component of waste. The surface modification of fiber with NaOH solution is one of the factors that determines level of adhesion to the epoxy polymer matrix. This study to analyze the effect of alkali treatment on the morphology and characteristics of fiber. In addition, the effect of palm fiber composition on the mechanical properties of composites were studied. Alkali treatment on fiber was carried out using 10% wt sodium hidroxide solution. The morphology and characteristics palm fiber before and after alkali treatment were analyzed using SEM-EDX, XRD, and FTIR. Tensile tests were carried out on composites with treated fibers and without treatment with sodium hidroxide solution. The results showed that alkali treatment caused the surface morphology of the fiber to be finer due to the loss of lignin and hemicellulose components. Alkali treatment fiber can increase the tensile strenght. Composites with fiber and resin composition of 4%: 96% wt that have undergone alkali treatment have a maximum tensile strength of 21.60 MPa.

Digital watermarking is an important field of technological development that has now grown in the digital era. Digital era encourage the spread digital images on internet by the websites with a large scale. On the other hand, digital images are objects that are very easy to change or manipulate, and even copied irresponsibly. Meanwhile it is very difficult to prove the image has been changed by existing equipment at this time, and it is difficult to prove its ownership. This is an important issue, when the image is one of the evidences for legal cases, news reporting and medical filing, where the image must be ensured that the digital image is not subject to change or manipulation. In this paper, we present the application of digital watermarking to authentication and ownership validation of digital image so the image can be ascertained its validity. This research applies blind watermark scheme by using secret key that inserted at least-significant bits (LSB) of host image therefore the watermark is invisible watermark. The result of watermarked image has a small decrease in quality with the mean value of PSNR and MSE about 34.08 and 14.62.

Conventional cooling systems based on vapor compression have a high coefficient of performance (COP). However shortage of vapor compression cooling systems still using refrigerants that have detrimental effects on the environment. For that purpose, the research of fruit and vegetable storage machine using thermoelectric system TEC1-12706 with temperature control system using arduino. In this study the temperature in the cabin can be stable at 15° C and still feasible for use as a storage of fruits and vegetables.

The dependence of solar radiation in generating electricity by PV will have an impact on the PVWPS performance, besides The PVWPS consists many components with different characteristics. Thus this research will investigation the performance conduct economic analysis of PVWPS. To achieve that objective measurement of data starting at 09.00 until 16.00. The data are solar radiation, voltage and current of PV/pump and the time required to fill the container with a certain volume. Analysis data is using the equations that have been predetermined and comparison other research. The results obtained that the water discharge generated by PVWPS will be proportional to solar radiation, as a result the production of electricity generated by PV. The pump efficiency and system is proportional to solar radiation. This phenomenon is the effect of water debit dependence on solar radiation. The result of economic analysis is the price of electricity generated by SPATS is relatively cheap and the water cost for every m3 is inversely proportional to the water discharge generated by the pump.
