Abstract

Dinamika kepariwisataan di Kabupaten Badung, antara lain tercermin dengan pesatnya pembangunan fasilitas akomodasi wisata. Dalam periode 2010 – 2015, jumlah kamar hotel atau penginapan di Kabupaten Badung meningkat sebanyak 47%. Untuk mengantisipasi dampak negatif dari pesatnya pendirian fasilitas akomodasi wisata, Pemerintah Kabupaten Badung menerapkan Peraturan Bupati Badung No 36 tahun 2014 Tentang Standar Minimal Luas Lahan untuk bangunan Hotel dan Kondotel. Makalah ini membahas Peraturan Bupati Badung No 36 tahun 2014 dan implementasinya dalam membatasi bangunan hotel untuk mendukung pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Makalah ini merupakan bentuk kajian pariwisata yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, studi kepustakaan, dan wawancara mendalam dengan 8 informan pelaku dan pemerhati pariwisata Bali. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif–intepretatif dalam perspektif kajian ilmu pariwisata. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Peraturan Bupati Badung No 36 tahun 2014 merupakan kebijakan yang terkait dengan orientasi pembangunan sektor pariwisata dan pengaturan luas lahan minimal untuk pendirian bangunan hotel dan kondotel di Kabupaten Badung. Kebijakan ini berorientasikan kepada upaya pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan, yaitu pembangunan pariwisata yang mendukung upaya pelestarian lingkungan dan peningkatan kesejahteraan sosial-ekonomi masyarakat lokal. Stakeholders terkait, termasuk calon investor, pemilik dan manajemen hotel serta kondotel dapat terus mendukung dalam upaya mewujudkan pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Belajar adalah kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki anak – anak dalam mempersiapkan hari sekolah mereka di SD. Kegiatan membaca menjadi sebuah aktivitas yang sangat menentukan dalam kehidupan sekolah mereka. Semuanya dimulai dengan membaca, oleh karena itu agar mampu melakukan tugas-tugas mereka di sekolah maka orang-tua harus mempersiapkan mereka untuk bisa membaca. Mengajar anak-anak sangatlah berbeda dengan mengajar orang dewasa, mereka harus diberi kasih sayang dan jangan berada dalam tekanan. Orang-tua harus menemukan metode yang tepat untuk melakukan hal ini. Metode Glenn Doman adalah sebuah metode yang bisa yang bisa dicoba para orang-tua. Ini adalah sebuah metode menggunakan kartu-kartu dengan berbagai ukuran tulisan yang pada akhirnya akan membantu mereka membaca dengan mengingat hurufnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah metode Glenn Doman cukup efektif atau tidak dengan melakukan studi banding dengan membandingkan dua orang anak. Satu anak diajarkan dengan metode Glenn Doman dan yang lainnya diajar membaca dengan metode mengeja biasa. Terbukti hanya dalam waktu lima bulan anak yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan metode Glenn Doman mampu membaca dengan lancar. Keburukan dari metode ini adalah adalah bahwa anak mengetahui kata namun tidak mengenal huruf, ketika dihadapkan pada kata baru mereka sama sekali tidak bisa dan tidak mampu mengeja karena tidak pernah diajarkan demikian. Kelebihan metode ini adalah mengajar tanpa menekan selalu memberikan dukungan dengan memeluk dan selalu memberikan mereka semangat tanpa memberikan tekanan.

Abstract

The study was carried out to identify kinds of repair initiations, i.e. the indication which shows that there is a trouble that has to be repaired, that occur in conversation. The data were taken from an English teacher and the eleventh grade students of a vocational high school. Subjects of the study were an English teacher and 20 students. In obtaining the data, class discussion was about language-learning task has been prepared by the teacher. The device used by the researcher was a handy-camera to record and capture the discussion in classroom discourse. The result of the study showed that the English teacher was able to use several types of repair initiations in the classroom interaction. It involved unspecified repairs, repeats or partial repeats, and request for translation or information. In addition, the students were able to play their roles in the classroom by initiating two types of repair initiations; they are included unspecified repair, and (partial) repeat. Moreover, the frequency of occurrence of repair initiation types done by the teacher was the request for translation or information repair initiation mostly occured on the teacher’s turn, while on the second place the teacher frequently used repeats or partial repeats on his turn. By initiating repairs, the researcher also decided the kinds of repair initiation that frequently occurred on the students’ turn. Unspecified repair was mostly used by the students in the classroom interaction, whereas repeats or partial repeat were less frequently used on the students’ turn.

Abstract

Purpose of this research is to identify the potencies and development of Butterfly Park in Sesandan Village, Tabanan Regency. Data of this research were collected through observation, in depth interview, and questionnaires. The findings showed that the butterfly park in Sesandan Village has 4 (four) tourism components namely attraction, accessibility, amenity, and ancillary (4 A). Those components should be developed so that the number of visitors to the village could increase. The development includes some strategies such as Strength-Opportunities Strategy which include development of small scale tourism, alternative tourism and sustainable tourism. Weakness-Opportunities Strategies which include the development of human resources in Sesandan Village on knowledge and skill in tourism. Strength-Threats Strategies, which include keeping and increasing the security of Sesandan Village and by doing benchmarking to the more-developed destination. Weakness Threats Strategies which is done by preserving the ecosystem of the butterfly to keep the balance of the nature and to enlarge the area of the conservation so that it becomes more attractive to be visited.

Abstract

Tabanan regency is one of tourist destination area in Bali that has many tourism areas spreading over the district and the village. One of tourism destination has been famous in Tabanan regency is Alas Kedaton tourist destination.The location of Alas Kedaton tourist destination is about 7 km from the Tabanan city. The objective of this research is (a) to know the image Alas Kedaton tourist destination by the tourist, (b) to define the marketing sustainability strategic which will be applied in the future. The data were used are secondary data and deep interview with the informan who understood about the Alas Kedaton tourist destination. Based on the research that Alas Kedaton tourist destination has positive image. The strategy that can applied is focusing on: product brand identity, spirit of the caracteristic brand, the marketing focus to the domestic market and joint venture with travel agent to market Alas Kedaton tourist destination in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether the Food & Beverage (F&B) service of a restaurant operation plays an important role in tourism industries in global era. The result shows that F&B Service staffs play important role to encourage tourism industries in global era as they face directly with the tourists and they have to master the international service etiquette. To implement the service etiquette, all the F&B Service staffs have to commit to give an excellent service to the guests who come to their restaurant. To offer the excellent servive to the restaurant guests, the management are beginning with pre-service briefing, welcoming the guest, greeting the guest, escorting the guest, taking order, serving food & beverage on dinning table, clearing up the table, billing (pricing), parting, “ saying good bye, and see you again”. By providing excellent service, tourists will be satisfied and return again to a restaurant. To increase the restaurant selling today programme, all restaurant staffs should do “up-selling”. For up-selling purpose in a restaurant, the waiter/waitress should suggest guests to enjoy the quality drink such as win, or champagne, to accompany their food and today special food programme.

Abstract

Social Media has become a routine activity for everyone. Today’s digital citizens use to start their day with the notifications and end up by checking the newsfeeds on these sites. People use to celebrate important events of life, celebrate the festivals, create and participate in events, show their mood and reflect their thoughts and beliefs on these sites. Thus, Social Networking Sites (SNSs) have become the necessary part of life which cannot be separated from social, professional, academic or individual life. Social media originated strictly as a personal tool to communicate with people around, such as friends and family, but the innovative technology advancements paved the way to use web-based and mobile technologies to turn communication into interactive conversation. Through the present paper, the author tried to explore the features of selected social media, suitable for integrating these in education on the basis of a review of the previous studies and literature available. For the purpose, Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter have been selected considering their popularity and relevance in the teaching-learning process. The paper provides an outlook to motivate teachers and students to use social media wisely and face the possible challenges smartly. It showcases a journey of social media platforms to begin or flourish its path towards education.

Abstract

Kepala Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang dan Jasa Pemerintah, Agus Prabowo menyebut, dari ratusan pemerintah daerah di Indonesia, baik di level provinsi, kabupaten maupun kota, baru sembilan daerah yang telah sepakat menerapkan system e-katalog. Pemerintah nampaknya enggan memberikan kata harus karena penerapan sistem ini bersifat sukarela. Sembilan pemerintah daerah yang telah menandatangani nota kesepahaman (MOU) dengan Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Pemerintah (LKPP), sebagai tanda sepakat menerapkan e-katalog adalah Pemerintah Daerah Khusus Ibu Kota Jakarta, Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Yogyakarta, Pemprov Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), Maluku, Gorontalo, Bangka Belitung, Riau, Pemkot Semarang dan Pemkab Badung (Bali). E-katalog sesungguhnya sangat memudahkan penyedia jasa maupun Pemda. Dalam e-katalog tersedia uraian cukup lengkap, mulai daftar pilihan produk atau barang yang dibutuhkan, spesifikasi, harga hingga alamat penyedia barang dan jasa. Hebatnya, masyarakat luas juga bisa mengakses informasi tersebut sehingga proses pengadaan barang dan jasa lebih transparan dan akuntabel. Di samping memudahkan pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan, e-katalog juga menyebabkan proses pengadaan barang dan jasa akan lebih mudah dan cepat karena tidak perlu lagi melalui sistem lelang seperti yang selama ini banyak dilakukan. Sistem lelang memerlukan waktu berbulan-bulan, sementara transaksi melalui e-katalog bisa dilakukan dalam hitungan detik. Dengan e-katalog pemerintah seperti membuka warung on-line yang dapat membuat nyaman semua pihak. E-katalog, sebagaiman halnya produk baru, selalu menuai pro dan kontra. Diperlukan tekad yang kuat dari pemerintah daerah dan political-will kepala daerah untuk mendukung sistem ini, di samping tersedianya infrastruktur yang memadai serta kesiapan unit layanan pengadaan (ULP) dengan dukungan struktur organisasi yang handal dan berdedikasi.

Abstract

Model of communication in agricultural communication practices in Indonesia particularly in Subang Regency has developed parallel to the concept of development communication and community development. This research aims to analyze the difference of communication pattern Member farmer groups against business success based on gender. The sample in this study amounted to 90 people from 18 farmers groups in Kabupaten Subang. The data collected through the survey with a questionnaire and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The analysis of the test used was different from independent samples t-tests to test hypotheses posed. The study found that there were no significant differences based on gender-related patterns of communication that affect the success of the farmer. These findings indicate that gender is not a guarantee of a person's been doing better communication pattern.

Abstract

The increase of world’s awareness on the importance of environmental protection and saturation towards conventional tourism activity which caused negative impact on the socio-cultural and environment has resulted changes in trend from conventional into alternative tourism. Taman Sari Buwana is one of the ecotourism in Bali which is developed in order to accommodate such trend. This study aims to know the contribution of Taman Sari Buwana Ecotourism development at Banjar beng Kaja, Tunjuk Village, Tabanan Regency. The sampling technique of this study used purposive and accidental sampling. Data is collected using questionnaires, direct observation, depth interview, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and documentation. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study shows that the development of ecotourism at Banjar Beng Kaja gives a positive contributions to economy, social and environment of Banjar Beng Kaja. They are to organization or group involved in the ecotourism, Elementary School No. 3 Tunjuk, Subak Kaliasem (local farmer’s organization), artist’s group, Banjar Pakraman Beng Kaja and Tunjuk Village. It is also contributing to the preservation of culture and environment of Banjar Beng Kaja. In order to ensure tourist satisfaction, it is necessary to improve some tourist facilities in there. Taman Sari Buwana Ecotourism need to cooperate with the Government of Tabanan Regency through the Departement of Tourism and and Public Works, especially in improving the road to Banjar Beng Kaja.
