Abstract

This study discusses the impacts of leisure travels on individuals which is developed based on a qualitative study using a combination of qualitative survey, and in-depth interviews conducted to people who have traveled both domestic and/or international more than once. In general, travels effect individuals constructively in which leisure travel significantly impacts individuals' personal growth majoring in cognitive and affective domains; the expressions made such as to broaden life perspectives and way of thinking, promote an open mind, increase knowledge and wisdom. Change and personal growth occur by means of learning by which travels contribute and facilitate this process of individual development. Learning happens through experiences; travels facilitate opportunities to be away from the mundane, insert the element of dynamic, surprise and beyond expectation; thus, enable individuals to see matters more objectively beyond one’s habits and traditions. As to how far thoughts, attitudes and actions are in concurrence is yet another research topic to investigate. Nonetheless, leisure travel is encouraged as a means of indulging in an intelligent leisure.

Abstract

Bali beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) is an annual national tourism agenda as a business-to-business event for local travel industry players to sell travel packages to foreign buyers. As one of the sellers in the annual event, Bagus Discovery Management Company (BDMC) that manage Nusa Dua Bali Tours & Travel, Puri Bagus Hotel Group, and Bagus Agro had participated actively in BBTF by opening a booth stand in Nusa Dua Hall of Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center as the event venue from June 27 to June 30. This study investigated the role of BDMC in BBTF through the writer’s direct practices when was involved in handling the event by conducting surveys in the fifth edition of BBTF. Additionally, interviews were conducted to the staff and top management of the company about the winning strategy for attracting buyers in such a potential marketing event as well as to buyers by asking their perception about the event. The data that had been classified then analyzed using descriptive qualitative based on inductive methodological paradigm by setting up the discussion from specifically principles to general before drawing a conclusion. The study reveals that most of the sellers who visited Bagus Discovery Booth Stand felt satisfied towards the service received and appreciated highly its products like Puri Bagus Group Property which is considered to possess a distinctive uniqueness as what certainly every guest is looking for

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to conduct a discussion on facilities and amenities of luxury tourism. It is a qualitative study exploring the opinions of travelers on luxury tourism. The study participants consist of 48 respondents who are members of 7 different Facebook travel groups. Data collection was carried out by posting a topic of discussion on luxury travels to the Facebook groups. The results indicate that the conventional way of understanding luxury tourism is highlighted by top class facilities and amenities. These include 5 star and above standard of accommodation, chartered flight, private jet and yacht, butler and limousine service, and spectacular structures. However, contemporarily, luxurious travel is defined more broadly, it does not always connote, e.g. marble bath tub with gold plated tap, it could mean anything comfortable or ease. Luxurious facilities and amenities in tourism are defined differently by different market segments either first, middle or lower class. Thus, there is always a luxurious element for any travel regardless of its class, e.g. a private toilet in the Himalaya is considered as a luxury; there is a luxury for shoestring travelers. It is expected that the analysis could widen the perspective and enrich the discussion on luxury tourism.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merumuskan strategi marketing mix melalui community based pada agro-tourism (CBAT) di Gianyar, Bali, Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka. Data kuesioner yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan matriks IFE, EFE, IE dan SWOT. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa CBAT yang ada di Gianyar berada pada sel II dari matriks IE (growth strategy) dengan pengembangan produk melalui diferensiasi atau inovasi dengan strategi alternatif yang bisa dilakukan adalah memperluas pasar, menambah keragaman produk, meningkatkan pelayanan, penetapan harga, meningkatkan promosi dan memperbaiki kualitas SDM. Beberapa saran dapat diberikan untuk perbaikan usaha ke depannya yaitu menambahkan atraksi seperti cooking class, memanfaatkan e-commerce (media sosial, web) untuk promosi, menjalin kerjsama dengan biro perjalanan yang ada, mengikutsertakan karyawan pada pelatihan-pelatihan yang diadakan oleh pemerintah/lembaga pendidikan, membuat paket-paket untuk liburan sekolah, dan memberikan service yang lebih memuaskan kepada tour guide seperti memberikan fee guide.

Abstract

Dinamika kepariwisataan di Kabupaten Badung, antara lain tercermin dengan pesatnya pembangunan fasilitas akomodasi wisata. Dalam periode 2010 – 2015, jumlah kamar hotel atau penginapan di Kabupaten Badung meningkat sebanyak 47%. Untuk mengantisipasi dampak negatif dari pesatnya pendirian fasilitas akomodasi wisata, Pemerintah Kabupaten Badung menerapkan Peraturan Bupati Badung No 36 tahun 2014 Tentang Standar Minimal Luas Lahan untuk bangunan Hotel dan Kondotel. Makalah ini membahas Peraturan Bupati Badung No 36 tahun 2014 dan implementasinya dalam membatasi bangunan hotel untuk mendukung pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Makalah ini merupakan bentuk kajian pariwisata yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, studi kepustakaan, dan wawancara mendalam dengan 8 informan pelaku dan pemerhati pariwisata Bali. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif–intepretatif dalam perspektif kajian ilmu pariwisata. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Peraturan Bupati Badung No 36 tahun 2014 merupakan kebijakan yang terkait dengan orientasi pembangunan sektor pariwisata dan pengaturan luas lahan minimal untuk pendirian bangunan hotel dan kondotel di Kabupaten Badung. Kebijakan ini berorientasikan kepada upaya pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan, yaitu pembangunan pariwisata yang mendukung upaya pelestarian lingkungan dan peningkatan kesejahteraan sosial-ekonomi masyarakat lokal. Stakeholders terkait, termasuk calon investor, pemilik dan manajemen hotel serta kondotel dapat terus mendukung dalam upaya mewujudkan pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pulau Nusa Penida merupakan salah satu kawan wisata yang memerlukan sarana dan prasarana transportasi sebagai pendukung. Jalur penyeberangan antara Nusa Penida-Sanur menjadi sangat penting pada saat hari raya umat Hindu, mengingat kebutuhan angkutan penyeberangan terutama untuk mengangkut wisatawan nusantara, wisatawan mancanegara, dan barang sangat dibutuhkan untuk menunjang kawasan wisata Nusa Penida. Kebutuhan akan transportasi yang aman dan nyaman untuk menunjang kawasan wisata Nusa Penida menjadi sangat diperlukan, karena kunjungan wisatawan cendrumg mengalami peningkatan. Perkembangan transportasi dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, untuk memacu pertumbuhan ekonomi perlu ditunjang oleh sektor ekonomi yang produktif, diantaranya adalah sektor pariwisata. Perkembangan sektor perhubungan merupakan salah satu indikator kemajuan suatu negara dan tingkat kehidupan masyarakatnya. Terkait transportasi laut, terdapat 3 aspek yang saling berhubungan satu sama lain, yaitu lalu lintas dan sarana angkutan laut, kepelabuhanan, keselamatan dan keamanan pelayaran. Hasil statistik uji (hitung) yang digunakan jatuh pada daerah penolakan dimana t =2,46>t tabel 1,94, maka H0 ditolak dan menerima H1, ini berarti perbedaan antara nilai observasi (nilai sampel) = 49 juta dengan nilai hipotesis µ= 47,617 juta adalah signifikan. Jadi dengan demikian pengahasilan ‘boat’ sebesar Rp 49,0 juta lebih memang benar adanya, karena dipengaruhi adanya potensi wisatawan lokal, dan mancanegara cenderung semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Trading activities both domestic or foreign trade needs a special strategy and technique in order to achieve their maximum target. The global crisis in particular the inclusion of Asian China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA) market raise strongly effect for trading company engaged in export trade. This evidenced by the decrease in sales turnover of previous years. The company deems it necessary to conduct the analysis to finds a solution, and able to keep their presence and survive in running the company by reviewing the price and negotiation techniques by using SWOT analysis. The company should improve their quality and create an innovative product as the market needs. Besides that, hope to remain competitive in the international market with their competitors countries such as Thailand, China, Vietnam, India, and other countries. With the SWOT analysis is expected the company can take a decision for increasing their sales. For increasing sales the company also needs to promoting their products and has a negotiation technique that they can attract new customers.

Abstract

Peningkatan kapasitas kompetensi Bahasa Jepang lanjutan dan promosi wisata Desa Mas bagi para pelaku pariwisata di Desa Mas, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar mutlak diperlukan. Kedua aspek ini sangat penting untuk mendukung industri wisata alam, seni dan budaya, khususnya promosi produk kerajinan patung sebagai penunjang pariwisata yang salah satunya sebagai ikon pariwisata di daerah tersebut. Dari pengamatan yang dilakukan masih adanya hambatan-hambatan dalam pengelolaan berbagai potensi wisata, terutama tentang promosi wisata alam, seni budaya dan kebahasan yang dihadapi oleh pelaku pariwisata Desa Mas pada saat berkomunikasi verbal dengan wisatawan asing. Oleh karena itu kemampuan promosi dan komunikasi masyarakat yang masih dasar harus diimbangi dengan kemampuan promosi dan kemampuan bahasa asing, yang lebih mendalam untuk melayani para wisatawan asing tersebut. Dengan meningkatnya kompetensi Bahasa Jepang serta metode promosi pariwisata yang tepat, diharapkan akan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya masyarakat Desa Mas tersebut dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan kepada pengunjung (customer service) khususnya wisatawan asing dapat mencapai kepuasan pengunjung (customer satisfaction) yang pada gilirannya wisatawan asing akan lebih banyak datang berkunjung sehingga dapat meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat

Abstract

Purpose: This research is to analyze the application of digital marketing to support sustainable tourism in each tourist village in Bangli Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Research methods: The data collection method used in this study is a phenomenological approach. From the phenomena that happens, the researchers understood it more deeply by looking for concepts and theoretical foundations that are relevant. Findings: The digital marketing model can make it easier for tourists to find tourist villages in Bangli Regency. It is also hoped that the negative impact on the natural environment caused by conventional promotional media can be reduced. Implication: The outcome of this research is a digital marketing model that supports sustainable tourism in each tourist village in Bangli Regency from an environmental, economic, and socio-cultural perspectives.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the interest of guests in the recreation activities program as a complimentary to guests staying at a 5-star hotel in Ungasan, Bali, Indonesia, and to find out which recreation activities were most in demand by guests at the hotel. Research methods: Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis technique and descriptive statistics. Results and discussion: The study shows that the TTH (The Tree House) Activities that were most attractive to guests in 2019 were art & craft (5.48%), painting (5.40%), nature painting (4.68%), learning Balinese (4.46%), Balinese dance (4, 46%). The year 2020 is a temple tour (4.77%), hotel tour (4.72%), clay making (4.31%), painting and gardening (4.19% each), and music class (3.91 %). Implication: The guests’ interest in the recreation activities program is very good, which can be seen in the percentage of guests participating in the recreation activities program of 35.8% of the total number of guests at the hotel in 2019 and 2020.
