Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kesalahan pelafalan bunyi dalam bahasa Rusia oleh para karyawan yang meng-handle wisatawan Rusia di Bali serta memberikan cara untuk mengoreksi kesalahan tersebut dari segi ilmu linguistik. Bahasa Rusia, yang masuk dalam rumpun bahasa Slavia dan banyak digunakan oleh para karyawan perusahaan yang meng- handle wisatawan Rusia di Bali, memiliki susunan gramatika dan fonetik jauh lebih kompleks dibandingkan dengan bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris (Fadillah:2006). Secara fonetik, terdapat beberapa huruf bahasa Rusia yang tidak terdapat dalam bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris, seperti э [e], ж [zh], щ [shy], ь (tanda pelunak), ы [euy], dan ъ (tanda pengeras) yang sering menimbulkan masalah dalam pelafalan bunyi kata yang berisi huruf-huruf tersebut. Kesalahan pelafalan bunyi huruf dalam bahasa rusia terjadi karena adanya interpensi dari bahasa ibu (native tongue), juga kurangnya pengetahuan tentang artikulasi bunyi huruf tersebut. Koreksi terhadap kesalahan pelafalan bunyi dalam bahasa Rusia mutlak dilakukan untuk meningkatkan jasa pelayanan terhadap kunjungan wisatawan Rusia yang semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya. Abstract This research attempts to discuss the mistake of pronunciation in Russian language committed by the workers who are handling Russian tourists in Bali and give some correction of the mistake in linguistics. Russian language which is belong to Slavia group and it is widely used by the workers of a company which is handling Russian tourists in Bali, has much more complicated grammatical and phonetical pattern than Indonesian and English (Fadillah:2006). Phonetically, there are some letter which are found neither in Indonesian nor in English, like э [e], ж [zh], щ [shy], ь (a soft sign), ы [euy], dan ъ (a hard sign). If these letters are occurred in words they will often cause some problems in pronunciation. The mistake of pronunciation in Rusian is mostly commited due to the interference of the native tongue and also lack of phonological knowledge on the proper sounds of the language. Correction of the mistakes is absolutely needed in order to increase the quality of service towards the Russian tourists who are getting increased and increased every year.

Abstract

Purpose of this research is to identify the potencies and development of Butterfly Park in Sesandan Village, Tabanan Regency. Data of this research were collected through observation, in depth interview, and questionnaires. The findings showed that the butterfly park in Sesandan Village has 4 (four) tourism components namely attraction, accessibility, amenity, and ancillary (4 A). Those components should be developed so that the number of visitors to the village could increase. The development includes some strategies such as Strength-Opportunities Strategy which include development of small scale tourism, alternative tourism and sustainable tourism. Weakness-Opportunities Strategies which include the development of human resources in Sesandan Village on knowledge and skill in tourism. Strength-Threats Strategies, which include keeping and increasing the security of Sesandan Village and by doing benchmarking to the more-developed destination. Weakness Threats Strategies which is done by preserving the ecosystem of the butterfly to keep the balance of the nature and to enlarge the area of the conservation so that it becomes more attractive to be visited.

Abstract

This study aims at the effectiveness of communication and the level of employee discipline as well as the effect of communication on employee work discipline at Ojas Prana Café & Restaurant Ubud Gianyar at Ojas Prana Cafe & Restaurant Ubud Gianyar. There are 5 methods used to collect data, namely: observation, interview, questionnaire, documentation, and literature study. The analysis technique used, namely: a. Quantitative Analysis, which is an analysis technique for analyzing quantitative data, where the analytical techniques used include 1) Simple Linear Regression Analysis, 2) Simple Correlation Analysis, 3) Determination Analysis. b. Descriptive analysis techniques to explain the results of the analysis and help draw conclusions about research results. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that the communication process in operations at Ojas Prana Cafe & Restaurant Ubud Gianyar is running very effectively. Work discipline in operations at Ojas Prana Cafe & Restaurant Ubud Gianyar is very good. Communication has a real or significant effect on employee work discipline at the Ojas Prana Café & Restaurant Ubud company which can be seen from t count (3.753) greater than t table (1.833), which is in the area of rejection of Ho and Ha being accepted. The effect is very strong with a positive correlation coefficient of 0.781 which lies between 0.76 – 1.00 in the very strong criteria. While the influence relationship is positive, where with the improvement of communication one unit causes an increase in discipline of 0.958 units.

Abstract

Purpose: Travel and leisure demand reach a considerable number through tourism development. In accommodating travel and leisure needs, the solution was found by using a third party to arrange the itinerary. This is how travel agent existence could be used as a marketing strategy. This trick also done by The Café - International Buffet Restaurant. This research was conducted to analyze the implementation of travel agent contracts in increasing the number of bookings and identify the most effective travel agent contracts in advancing the number of bookings. Research methods: Regarding finding the result, this research used the quantitative technique by applying the effectiveness formula and categorizing the result with the effectiveness level. The result is performed using tables, numbers, percentages, and charts processed by Microsoft Excel. In describing the explanatory, it uses descriptive analysis, which uses quantitative techniques to interpret the meaning of the result. The results will be solved as information on the problem formulation, conclusion, and suggestion. Results and discussion: The implementation of travel agent contract Chinese market and travel agent contracts in the non-Chinese market are the objects of this research. Implication: Based on the analysis, the travel agent contract in the non-Chinese market is more effective in increasing the number of restaurant bookings regarding its contribution exceeding the target that must be achieved. Abstract

The aim of this research is to review the tourist village of Penglipuran based on the theory of tourist destination. Penglipuran village is famous as one of the tourist destinations in Bali because of its society, which still preserves its traditional culture in its daily lives. The architecture of buildings and land processing still follows the concept of Tri Hita Karana, the philosophy of Balinese society regarding the balance of relations between God, humans, and their environment. Penglipuran Village succeeded in building tourism that benefited all of their communities without losing their culture and traditions. Penglipuran Village is one of the traditional villages in Bali that still maintains local wisdom until now. One of the local wisdom in Penglipuran village is the arrangement of a community spatial pattern that takes the Tri Mandala concept by dividing the roots into three zones. They are the main zone, middle, and Nista. Customs, values of mutual cooperation and kinship, as well as the local wisdom of the local community are based on the concept of Tri Hita Karana. The research method that we use is a qualitative method and a quantitative method to find bright spots from the papers that we made. The findings show that the tourist village of Penglipuran has already met the criteria as a tourist village destination and also meets the concept of Tri Hita Karana.

Abstract

This study examines the culinary and dining experience at D’Warung, a popular restaurant known for its diverse menu and cozy atmosphere. The primary objective is to analyze the restaurant's appeal, focusing on its food offerings, ambiance, and customer service. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews with staff and customers, assessing factors such as the quality of the food, the level of crowd, and the friendliness of the service. The results reveal that D’Warung stands out for its comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and a varied menu that includes both local and western dishes. The analysis highlights these factors as key contributors to the restaurant’s success. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of creating a welcoming environment and providing excellent service in shaping a memorable dining experience.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how to arrange tour packages that are competitive and can generate profits but can also satisfy consumer satisfaction, in this case, tourists. A series of activity stages are carried out before the tour package is carried out, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage includes exploring tourist destinations, creating an itinerary, and preparing human resources, logistics, and supporting supplies. The tour implementation stage includes creating a tour package and financing. The evaluation stage is the stage of reviewing the tour package by paying attention to the concepts of target market, market segmentation, and positioning. This research is qualitative research. Data from this research were obtained from observations, literature studies, and interviews with tour package organizers. The data obtained was then collected, reduced, and then analyzed.

Abstract

The Taman Pujaan Bangsa Margarana National Monument (TPB Margarana) is a memorial monument built to commemorate the Puputan Margarana tragedy. Currently, the number of tourists visiting is still very small, this affects the income obtained is not enough to cover the maintenance and operational costs of TPB Margarana. Digital Marketing Training and Tour Guide Training as an effort to develop the potential of TPB Margarana to increase the number of tourists visiting so that it is expected to have an impact on the sustainability of the TPB Margarana Struggle History Museum. Training and mentoring methods are used in this activity. The training method is designed to convey the important role of digital marketing and tour guide competence to increase the number of visits to TPB Margarana. Digital marketing training and Tour Guide Training were attended by 20 TPB Margarana employees. The output of this activity is in the form of publication of activities through electronic mass media, draft teaching materials and draft community service articles. This activity also provides benefits for TPB Margarana, namely increasing competence in the field of digital marketing and tour guides for TPB Margarana employees and for the Bali State Polytechnic campus as the implementer of activities to share their knowledge with the wider community.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose: The purpose of this research is to analyze the work effectiveness of the night auditor at a 4-star hotel in Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia and what steps must be taken by the night auditor to increase the effectiveness of the night auditor at the hotel. Research methods: Sampling in this study used purposive sampling by taking samples that fit certain criteria, namely front office manager and night auditor. The data in this research was obtained through observation, documentation, and interview. The analysis technique in this study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis technique using the theory of Miles and Huberman in 1992 about interactive data analysis and analyzes using an effective theory approach using the effectiveness formula. Results and discussion: There is a decrease in the effectiveness of night auditor works at the hotel based on indicators of quantity, quality, and working time. These results can be seen from the summary of the result of interviews with all night auditors that each night auditor provides answers regarding the quantity, quality, and working time in serving as a night auditor so far as effective and ineffective. Therefore, the researcher concludes based on the results of the calculation of the effective formula that the results are worth 0.7, 0.9, and 0.85, which means it is smaller than 1, so it can be concluded that work effectiveness is not effective. Implication: The steps in increasing the effectiveness of the night auditor work are obtained from the results of interviews with the Front Office Manager which requires a good work ethic, a psychological environment, focus on work, working according to procedures, and understanding work procedures, and having time efficiency.
