Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about transformation of the cultural value in the novel titled Di Bawah Langit yang Sama by Helga Rif. This research use qualitative descriptive method based on anthropology of literature approach. This research was conducted from January to July 2019. In this study, there is a focus that is studied, which is the form transformation of cultural values, while the study's sub-focus includes (1) preservation cultural values ​​and (2) revolution in cultural values. As for identifying and raising anthropological features in the novel using Koentjaraningrat theory which includes (1) human life equipment, (2) occupation, (3) social system, (4) language system, (5) arts, (6) knowledge system, and (7) religious system. In the novel entitled Di Bawah Langit yang Sama had been found the elements of transformation of cultural values ​​as much 103 data. Preservation of cultural values are 75 data, meanwhile the changes in the cultural values are 28 data. The most dominant data on maintaining cultural values ​​is an element of human life equipment and social systems. Meanwhile, the most dominant data on changes in cultural value is an element of the social system. The results of this study have implications for 2013 Learning Curriculum 2013 Revision 2018 in grade XII, KD 3.8 interpret the author's view of life in novels that are read and KD 4.8, which presents the results of interpretation of the views of the author either verbal or scripted.

Abstract

This study was aimed to obtain information about the sandekala myth contained in Senjakala by Risa Saraswati. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method. The geographical level analysis results showed that the depiction of the location of the myth in the Senjakala often linked to something haunted and mystical. Something that is haunted and mystical refers to the disturbance of spirits that often appeared when the sunset. The techno-economic level analysis results showed that the economic depiction of the figures could influence the character's behavior in believing in myths. The sociology level analysis results showed that people who own the myth have a high religious personality characterized by religion has always being used as a basis in various aspects of life, including in avoiding interference from spirits. The cosmological level analysis results showed that the events of the figures who were often disturbed by spirits during sunset. Based on these four levels, the myth of sandekala in Senjakala by Risa Saraswati was shown by the disturbances of spirits that often appeared during sunset. This research can be implicated in the study of literature at high school grade 12th of Curriculum 2013 Revision 2018 contained in BC 3.9 Analyzing the content and linguistic elements of novels and 4.9 Designing novels or novelets with regards to the content and linguistics both verbally and written. Students are expected to be able to analyze the content and linguistic elements of the novel through intrinsic elements and the language style of the novel and having wisdom in addressing the existence of myths.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) Development of video media for multicultural education-based Indonesian learning to build inter-ethnic harmony at the high school level in Singkawang City and (2) the feasibility of video media for Indonesian language learning based on multicultural education to build inter-ethnic harmony at the high school level in the city. Singkawang. This research is a development study using the 4-D model (Four-D developed by Thiagarajan (2011) which includes the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating). This research was carried out in 1 phase with a duration of 1 year The results showed that (1) The stages of development of the development of Multicultural Education-Based Indonesian Language video media for Building Ethnic Harmony at the High School Level in Singkawang City adopted the step or stage of Thiagarajan (2011) which included the defining stage (define) , design, develop, and disseminate (2) The results of the assessment by media experts for all n scores are 4.1 with good category and suitable for use, then based on the assessment of media experts the mean of all aspects is 4.3 with a very good category so that the material is suitable for use.

Abstract

This research based on students by difficulty in understanding analysis prose in lecture study prose fiction. Learning are now more led to the topic on local wisdom. West kalimantan constituting a province that has many tribes. Three large tribe living in west kalimantan, tionghua, dayak, and melayu. This study focused on tidayu folklore. So learning lecture study prose fiction developed into the development of material lecture prose fiction based tidayu culture integrated mobile learning. Problems in this research is how vaidty, practicality and effectivity whether the use of teaching lecture study prose fiction based tidayu culture integrated mobile learning in learning the prose fiction in STKIP singkawang. The research method used in this research is a research and Development (R&D) method of development with ADDIE research approach. The research period was held from March to July 2019 at the STKIP Singkawang. The test subjects in this study were students of the Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia study Program of semester III as many as 17 students. Results of the study showed that the teaching materials of prose fiction based Tidayu culture integrated mobile learning in the students of Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia program study STKIP Singkawang is valid, practical and effective in application on the learning process. Abstract

This study examines the process of making an acronym in the Waspada daily newspaper Medan published on 1, 4 and 6 April 2019. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of forming an acronym in the Waspada Medan daily newspaper published on 1, 4 and 6 April 2019. This research method is a descriptive qualitative method. The research data is sourced from the Waspada Medan daily newspaper on 1, 4, and 6 April 2019. Techniques for collecting data with techniques refer to and are accepted. The results of this study describe the five patterns of the formation of acronyms, namely: (1) Tribal sequencing with tribes, (2) sequencing of tribes with tribes and letters, (3) sequencing of words with tribes and letter, (4) impingement of words with terms and letters, and (5) initial letter. Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of modules, validation of module development, and improve the learning outcomes of contextual based narrative writing. This research was conducted in class X SMK Ar-Rahman, Medan.The method used is a research and development method. Researchers use expert/expert validation and students to produce products and test the effectiveness of the product.The results obtained from this study: first, the development of contextual writing narrative essay writing modules is needed and appropriate by both teachers and students in the learning process.Second, the results of the validation carried out by experts / experts on the contextual writing narrative essay writing module are very good and worthy of being used as modules with an average percentage rating of 86% and are in the category of "very good", the results of individual trials obtained an average value an average of 87%, the results of small group trials obtained an average value of 88%, and the results of limited field trials obtained an average value of 92%.Third, the development of contextual writing narrative essay writing modules can improve student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the average pretest score of 61, while the average posttest score of 88 with an effectiveness level of 88% is in the "very good" category. Keywords: development, module, writting narrative essays, contextual Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan modul, validasi pengembangan modul, dan meningkatkan hasil belajar menulis karangan narasi berbasis kontekstual. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas X SMK Ar-Rahman, Medan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Peneliti menggunakan validasi pakar/ahli dan siswa untuk menghasilkan produk serta menguji keefektifan produk. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini: pertama, pengembangan modul menulis karangan narasi berbasis kontekstual sangat dibutuhkan dan sesuai oleh guru maupun siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Kedua, hasil validasi yang dilakukan oleh pakar/ahli terhadap modul menulis karangan narasi berbasis kontekstual bernilai sangat baik dan layak digunakan sebagai modul dengan presentase penilaian rata-rata sebesar 86% dan berada pada kategori “sangat baik”, hasil uji coba perorangan diperoleh nilai rata-rata 87%, hasil uji coba kelompok kecil diperoleh nilai rata-rata 88%, dan hasil uji coba lapangan terbatas diperoleh nilai rata-rata 92%. Ketiga, pengembangan modul menulis karangan narasi berbasis kontekstual dinyatakan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 61, sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 88 dengan tingkat efektivitas 88% berada pada kategori “sangat baik”. Abstract

Chairil Anwar's literary resistance practices in 1942-1949 were supported by ‘literary habitus’--foreign and local literature, literary totality, and literary rationality-- as a foundation with the support of ‘literary modal’ --literary totality, literary rationality, and ideals of literature-- with consideration of the ‘literary fields’.Although the dominance of a ‘pujangga baru’ generation through literary practices is quite strong, Chairil Anwar's ‘literary practice’ is a successful practice.This success was marked by several things, including (1) Chairil's poetry writing model was considered as a new model that was not available before in Indonesian literature; (2) the influence of Chairil's literary practice which is growing in Indonesian literary society; (3) Chairil's coronation as a pioneer of the 45th generation; and (4) the increasingly massive publishing of Chairil's works which certainly brings 'capital modal' to Chairil's family. Keywords: literary resistance practices, Chairil Anwar, 1942-1949 Abstrak Praktik sastra perlawan Chairil Anwar pada tahun 1942-1949 didukung oleh 'habitus sastra' --sastra asing dan lokal, totalitas sastra, dan rasionalitas sastra-- sebagai landasan dengan dukungan 'modal sastra' --totalitas sastra, rasionalitas sastra, rasionalitas sastra , dan cita-cita sastra-- dengan pertimbangan 'ranah sastra'. Meskipun dominasi generasi 'pujangga baru' melalui praktik sastra cukup kuat, 'praktik sastra' Chairil Anwar adalah praktik yang berhasil. Keberhasilan ini ditandai oleh beberapa hal, antara lain(1) Model penulisan sajak Chairil dianggap model baru yang belum ada sebelumnya di kesusasteraan Indonesia; (2) pengaruh praktik sastra Chairil yang semakin besar dalam masyarakat sastra Indonesia; (3) dinobatkannya Chairil sebagai pelopor angkatan 45; dan (4) semakin masifnya penerbitan karya-karya Chairil yang tentunya mendatangkan modal kapital bagi keluarga Chairil. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know politeness strategy used by students to communicate with lecturers through short messages WA (WhatsApp). The data source in this research is the speech from students to lecturers. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method through three stages, namely data collection, data analysis, and presentation of the results of the analysis. The results showed that students used the politeness strategies of Brown and Levinson when communicating with their lecturers via text messages WA (WhatsApp). The words "please" and "ask for help" are used when speaking frankly, the use of the word "sorry" ethics is speaking with positive politeness, using direct names for speech with negative politeness, and using ambiguous words in communicating vaguely. From the research results, it can be seen that students have a politeness strategy that is used when communicating with lecturers. Keywords: politeness politeness strategies, students and lecturers, WhatsApp Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk strategi kesantuan berbahasa yang mahasiswa gunakan dalam berkomunikasi dengan dosen melalui pesan singkat WA (WhatsApp). Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan dari mahasiswa kepada dosen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan penyajian hasil analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menggunakan strategi kesantunan berbahasa Brown dan Levinson ketika berkomunikai dengan dosen mereka melalui pesan singkat WA (WhatsApp). Kata “silakan” dan “minta tolong” digunakan ketika bertutur dengan terus terang, penggunaan kata “maaf” Ketika bertutur dengan kesantunan positif, penggunaan nama langsung untuk tuturan dengan kesantunan negatif, dan menggunakan kata-kata yang ambigu dalam berkomunikasi dengan samar-samar. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa mahasiswa mempunyai strategi kesantunan berbahasa yang digunakan ketika berkomunikasi dengan dosen. Abstract

Digital textbook is an electronic version of printed books which has been popular in education. Several related studies had confirmed the advantages of using digital textbook for ESL learners. This study was conducted to explore the effectiveness of digital textbook in increasing learners’ proficiency in English as well as the learners’ and teachers attitude towards digital textbook. The quantitative study with fifty seven participants was a true experimental research which applied pretest-posttest control group design. Having two groups of participants (experimental and control), this research was conducted by selecting the participants randomly, administering pretest, giving treatment, administering posttest, analyzing the data and interpreting the results. This research found that even though data was not normally distributed, the data still had the same variances. Therefore, the independent t-test in this research used Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results discovered that the t value was 0.030 which was lower than 0.050. It indicated that the treatment was significantly effective in this research. In other words, this research revealed that digital textbook had contributed positively to the learners’ English achievement as it was seen from the better performance of the experimental group than the control group. Then, the qualitative study of this research interviewed three participants and one lecturer. Most of the participants shared the same opinion that digital textbook had positive contribution for their ESL class. Keywords: digital textbook, English proficiency, ESL Learners Abstrak Buku teks digital adalah versi elektronik dari buku cetak yang sudah terkenal di dalam dunia pendidikan. Beberapa studi terkait telah mengonfirmasi keuntungan menggunakan buku teks digital untuk pelajar ESL. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas buku teks digital dalam meningkatkan kemahiran peserta didik dalam bahasa Inggris serta sikap peserta didik dan guru terhadap buku teks digital. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan peserta yang berjumlah lima puluh tujuh dan merupakan penelitian eksperimental yang benar dalam menerapkan desain kelompok kontrol pretest-posttest. Memiliki dua kelompok peserta (eksperimental dan kontrol), penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memilih peserta secara acak, memberikan pretest, memberikan perawatan, mengelola posttest, menganalisis data dan menginterpretasikan hasil. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa meskipun data tidak terdistribusi secara normal, data tersebut masih memiliki varian yang sama. Oleh karena itu, uji-t independen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil menemukan bahwa nilai t adalah 0,030 yang lebih rendah dari 0,050. Itu menunjukkan bahwa pengobatan secara signifikan efektif dalam penelitian ini. Dengan kata lain, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa buku teks digital telah memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap prestasi bahasa Inggris peserta didik karena dilihat dari kinerja yang lebih baik dari kelompok eksperimen daripada kelompok kontrol. Kemudian, studi kualitatif dari penelitian ini mewawancarai tiga peserta dan satu dosen. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model through the teaching of Niteni, Niroke, Nambahi (Tri N) teaching in the Indonesian Language Skills course in Writing at the PGSD Study Program at Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University in Yogyakarta. This type of research is qualitative research. The subject of research is S1 semester 3 students of PGSD FKIP UST. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using an interactive model. The analysis consists of three activities, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions / verification. The results of this study were obtained that the application of the NHT learning model through the teaching concept of Tamansiswa Tri N in the KBIT course is contained in the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) and the learning process. In Niteni activities, students listened to the material explanation from the lecturer and intensively read the articles provided. Niroke, students working on assignments in groups to analyze the contents of the article with the formula 5W + 1H, the language and writing in accordance with the material that has been explained by the lecturer. Nambahi, one of the group representatives who had been appointed by the lecturer based on the number that was given to present the results of the discussion with the language and knowledge they have. Keywords: Numbered Head Together, Tri N, Write Indonesian Language Skills Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT) melalui ajaran tamansiswa Niteni, Niroke, Nambahi (Tri N) dalam mata kuliah Keterampilan Berbahasa Indonesia Tulis di Prodi PGSD Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian mahasiswa S1 semester 3 PGSD FKIP UST. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Analisis tersebut terdiri atas tiga alur kegiatan, yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran NHT melalui konsep ajaran Tamansiswa Tri N dalam mata kuliah KBIT terdapat dalam Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) dan proses pembelajarannya. Dalam kegiatan Niteni, mahasiswa menyimak penjelasan materi dari dosen dan membaca secara intensif artikel yang diberikan. Niroke, mahasiswa mengerjakan tugas secara berkelompok menganalisis isi artikel dengan rumus 5W+1H, bahasa dan tata tulisnya sesuai dengan materi yang sudah dijelaskan oleh dosen. Nambahi, salah satu perwakilan kelompok yang sudah ditunjuk oleh dosen berdasarkan nomor yang sudah diberikan untuk mempresentasikan hasil diskusi dengan bahasa dan pengetahuan yang dimilikinya.
