Aksis: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a high-qualified open access Journal which is managed by Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (Indonesian Literature and Language Education), Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Jakarta and published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (Institute of Research and Community Service) of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The journal is published biannually in June and December. The journal welcomes contributions from research on field or literature studies as well as on theoretical and critical studies, which includes the scope of Indonesian language education, Indonesian literary education, Indonesian language, and Indonesian literature.

This study aims to describe Indonesian-language teaching materials that are locally charged during the learning process at Cipanas 1 Public High School. The description of teaching materials in this school needs to be put forward because it is one aspect that supports student success. This high school has advantages especially in learning Indonesian compared to other schools in the area. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Keywords: writing teaching materials, local wisdom Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia yang bermuatan lokal yang diberikan selama proses pembelajaran di SMAN 1 Cipanas. Pendeskripsian bahan ajar di sekolah ini perlu dikemukakan karena merupakan salah satu aspek yang menunjang keberhasilan siswa. SMA ini memiliki keunggulan terutama dalam belajar bahasa Indonesia dibandingkan dengan sekolah lain di daerah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. The current study aims to analyze the rhetoric employed in two song lyrics, namely Rhoma Irama’s Malam Terakhir and Pance Pondaag’s Satukan Hati Kami to identify the similarities and differences in creating the values of religiousness and romantisism in order to contribute to Indonesian Literature Education in relation to youth’s character building. With the use of genre analytical framework under discourse analysis, the two song lyrics were analyzed to identify (1) communicative purposes, (2) generik structure and (3) linguistis features. Meanwhile, to investigate the value of religiousness and romantisism, a survey was administered to 20 students of Faculty of Language and Cultural Studies, Stikubank University only to find out that the two song lyrics created different discourses with different proportion of religiousness and romantisism. The findings yielded conclusion and recommendations to further expand the scope of literature teaching, especially with respect to the youth’s character building.

Islamic children literature, which transformated, in new media was viewed as a part of religious movement. This movement was assumed as social reality in this era. The video children animation, Dodo and Syamil take as case. This paper explores social reality from the religous movement phenomena. Ian Watt’s sociology literary theory is used in this paper, especially the genre and the ideological expression to express social world. Data in this paper includes topic, genre, formula, and idea in the Dodo and Syamil phenomena. The data interpretation is done by relating between topic, formula, and ideological concept to find social reality. The result of this paper is that social reality based on religios islamic movement in modernity context. This movement manifested with several topic, such as faith, worship, and characters. NCR Production is a part from islamic movement which was banned by political and ideological situation.

Indonesia has a political concept of language that is always updated in a certain period of time. The concept was born from a scientific meeting entitled “Seminar Politik Bahasa Nasional” (1975), “Seminar Politik Bahasa” (1999) and finally, “Seminar Politik Bahasa” (2015). Each scientific meeting produces a concept of language politics that is complementary and updates the previous concept. Furthermore, the concept of language politics is closely related to the implementation of a language policy in Indonesia. The research method used is content analysis. The data sources used are books, document archives, and photographs that record language political events over a period of 40 years. The results of this study indicate that (1) the concept of national language politics in the version of the Seminar Politik Bahasa Nasional (1975) focuses more on aspects of Indonesian, regional languages, and foreign languages; the political concept of the national language version of the Seminar Politik Bahasa (1999) focuses more on aspects of Indonesian language and literature, regional language and literature, and foreign languages, and the national language politics version of the Seminar Politik Bahasa (2015) emphasizes improving the function of Indonesian language into an international language; and (2) the political concept of national language 1975 and 1999 language politics became the elaboration of Pasal 36 UUD 1945 and the 2015 political concept of language became the elaboration of UU No. 24 Tahun 2009 and PP No. 57 Tahun 2014.

The existence of cultural literacy can be observed in the typical language in the Lo I Keta spells which developed in the traditional Bima society. A broad understanding of society about the Lo I Keta spells language by substituting meaning in producing figures of speech. This research aims to describe the figure of speech in the Lo I Keta spells. The research of Riffaterre's semiotics becomes the basis for analyzing the replacement of meaning. The research approach is descriptive qualitative using data collection techniques such as recording, interviewing, and recording. The results show that figurative forms include metaphor, anaphora, epiphoria, parallelism, and symbolic.

This study aims to explain Indonesian language errors on signboards and banners in Magetan. The problem in this study is the mistake of using Indonesian on nameplate and banners in Magetan. The method used in the compilation of data uses a qualitative descriptive method of phenomenology. The data source in this study is a photo document that results from monitoring the use of Indonesian on signs and banners in the city of Magetan. For data retrieval techniques in this research using sampling snowball. The focus in Indonesian language error research on signboards and banners is on spelling, use of inappropriate sentences and foreign words.

The purpose of this study was to examine contemporary poetry by Sutardji Calzoum Bachri using the stylistic approach. The research method used is based on content analysis. The object of this research is contemporary poems entitled Husspuss, O, Mantera, Sepisaupi, and Tapi. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The results and discussion in this study in the poems of Husspuss, O, Mantera, Sepisaupi, and Tapi shows that there are many elements of rhyme, rhythm, sound play, and sound repetition that are incorporated in the characteristics of sound and meaning of poetry while the style of language contained in these contemporary poems received less attention from the poet. The poet uses only a few styles of language such as hyperbole and repetition.

This study aims to describe: 1) the development of reading syllabus for BIPA level A1 using deductive approach in D’Royal Moroco Integrative Islamic Elementary School, and 2) the development of reading teaching material for BIPA level A1 using deductive approach in D’Royal Moroco Integrative Islamic Elementary School. The method used in this research was research and development method. Based on the observations, documents analysis, interviews, and tests, during need analysis period, can be elaborated that the school did not have any teaching materials for BIPA. While the school had quite a lot of BIPA students mostly at A1 level. This situasions need immediate action of developing syllabus and reading teaching material for BIPA at A1 level. Due to the target of the users for this syllabus and teaching material, deductive approach can be used to developing the syllabus and the reading teaching material of BIPA A1 since the children learn more effectively by imitating the examples, and deductive approach suits that needs. By following the deductive approach, the syllabus should contains the role of teacher and students while the teaching material should have: 1) begins with the concept introduction, 2) followed by relevant examples, and 3) contains of adequate practice. It is also should containing relevant and interesting illustrations.

This study focuses on analyzing the quality of Indonesian textbooks for the 2013 Curriculum in class X that published by the government and private publishers (Tiga Serangkai). The analysis will be based on content quality, language quality, presentation quality, and graphic quality. This research is comparative descriptive research, which means this research will describe and compare the two Indonesian textbooks. The method of data collection that used in this study are observation, documentary, and recording. After all data has been collected, it is then analyzed using comparative descriptive analysis based on the Badan Nasional Standar Pendidikan (BNSP). Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that almost all Indonesian language books published by the government and private publishers were in accordance with BNSP provisions which are (1) quality of content, (2) quality of language, (3) quality of presentation, and (4) quality of graphics.

Critical literacy teaching aimed to improve students' ability to be literate about history, experience, language, and culture. In addition, students are able use their environment and culture code to compile reading text. Teaching critical literacy is done by building critical criticism generated through careful and critical assessment. Critical assessment aimed to obtain meaning from the writing and the intended meaning into writing. Critical literacy brings students to gain knowledge of social and cultural events. Teaching literacy is done through four stages which include (1) discrupting the commonplace, (2) interrogating multiple viewpoints, (3) focusing on the socio-political issues, and (4) taking actions.
