ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low self-confidence development of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City. It is suspected that the cause of the child's low self-confidence is partly due to the inappropriate application of parenting methods. This study aims to: 1) describe the parenting methods applied by parents to children; 2) describes the self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years; and 3) looking at the relationship between parenting methods and the self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City.This research is a correlational quantitative research. The population in this study were children aged 6-7 years and their mothers as many as 50 people with a sample of 75%, namely 38 people with simple random sampling technique. The data technique used a questionnaire and a check for the observation of children's self-confidence development, the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and formula-data-moment.The results of this study indicate: 1) the parenting methods applied by parents to children aged 6-7 years are still inaccurate and inconsistent; 2) the development of self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years is still low; and 3) there is a significant relationship between parenting methods and the development of self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City. Research suggestions are: 1) it is hoped that parents in Anak Air Kelurahan Batipuh Panjang Padang City can pay attention to and apply the application of parenting methods to children so that they can contribute to the development of children's self-confidence as expected; and 2) it is hoped that further researchers can find or examine other variables that affect the development of children's self-confidence. This research was motivated by the low learning motivation of the citizens of learning package C at PKBM Suka Maju Sejahtera, Padang City. The low learning motivation of the learning citizens is thought to be due to the lack of this approach, presumably due to the lack of approach given by the tutor to the learning community at the time of learning. The purpose of this research is to describe the learning approach of the Program Paket C in PKBM Suka Maju Sejahtera, to describe the learning motivation of the learning citizens of the Program Paket C at PKBM Suka Maju Sejahtera, and to examine the relationship between the two. This research uses quantitative research with correlational descriptive method. The population in this study amounted to 89 citizens who participated in the Program Paket C for IPA and Social Studies classes at PKBM Suka Maju Sejahtera, Padang City with a sample of 45 people. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire, with data analysis using the percentage formula and the product moment. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The learning approach applied by the tutor in the Program Paket C at PKMB Suka Maju Sejahtera Padang City is still not right; (2) The learning motivation of the citizens to learn in the Program Paket C in PKMB Suka Maju Sejahtera, Padang City is still low; (3) there is a relationship between the learning approach and the learning motivation of learning citizens in the Program Paket C at PKMB Suka Maju Sejahtera, Padang City.Keywords: learning approach, learning motivation

This research was motivated by the low social behavior of Desa Kuranji, Gugua District, Lima Puluh Kota District. This study aims to see the relationship between active participation in mosque youth activities and the social behavior of adolescents in Kuranji Village, Guguak District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This type of research is a correlational descriptive study. The population in this study amounted to 22 people because in this study the entire population was sampled, so to determine the sample using the census method. The type of research data is about the relationship between the activeness of participating in mosque youth activities with the social behavior of adolescents in Kuranji Village, Guguak District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. While the techniques used in the data collection used questionnaires, the tools used were questionnaires, and data analysis techniques used the product moment formula. The findings of this study explained that the relationship between the activity of participating in mosque youth activities and the social behavior of adolescents in Kuranji Village, Guguak District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency is low.Keywords: Activities, Social Behavior, Participation

This research was motivated by the low interest in learning of the members of learning the package C program at SPNF SKB Sijunjung, this is thought to be due to the negative influence exerted by peers. This study aims to: 1) describe peer influence; 2) describe the learning interest of the learning community; and 3) looking at the relationship between peer influence and the learning interest of citizens in the Paket C program at SPNF SKB Sijunjung. This type of research is quantitative research with correlational descriptive techniques. The population of this research is all citizens studying the Paket C Program at SPNF SKB Sijunjung totaling 19 people and all of them are used as research samples. The data collection technique is in the form of a questionnaire with the data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used the percentage formula and Spearman rho correlation. The results showed that: (1) peer influence was categorized as bad, (2) learning interest in learning citizens was categorized as low, (3) there was a significant relationship between peer influence and learning interest in learning citizens in the package C program at SPNF SKB Sijunjung. This research was motivated by the low motivation of students in joining the Spiritual Islam curricular program at SMA Negeri 7 Padang which allegedly represented students' perceptions. The objectives of this study were to: 1) describe student perceptions, 2) describe student motivation, 3) see the relationship between student perceptions and motivation to take part in the extracurricular spiritual program of Islam at SMA Negeri 7 Padang. This study has a status, namely the perception of students' perceptions of student motivation. The population of this study were students who participated in the Spiritual Islam curricular program at SMA Negeri 7 Padang. The total population is 90 students. The research sample was 46 students who were taken 50% of the population. The research instrument used to collect data about student perceptions and student motivation was a questionnaire using a Likert scale with 4 alternative answers: always, often, rarely, never. To measure the results of the data performed using descriptive statistics and product moment statistical analysis. The results showed that students had low motivation and perception in participating in the Spiritual Islam curricular program at SMA Negeri 7 Padang, and there was a significant relationship between students' perceptions and motivation to take part in the Rohani Islam extracurricular program at SMA Negeri 7 Padang. This is evidenced by the results of calculations using the product moment statistical analysis which shows that the r count (0.609) is greater than the table both at the 5% confidence level (0.291) and the 1% confidence level (0.376).Keywords: Student Perceptions, Motivation, Extracurricular Activities

This study aims to reveal an overview of the application of andragogical principles in training, the learning outcomes of the training participants to sew clothes, and reveal the relationship between the application of andragogical principles and the learning outcomes of the training participants to sew clothes based on the initial observations that the author has made, located at Balai Work Training (BLK) in Padang. The results of the observations show that the high learning outcomes of the training participants are thought to be caused by the application of andragogical principles to the sewing training. This type of research is a correlational study that uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study was the training participants in sewing clothes for the January-March period this year. The sampling technique is saturated sampling and the sample is the whole population. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire and the tools used were questionnaires. The data analysis technique used the percentage formula and the Spearman Rho formula. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the application of andragogical principles in sewing good clothes; 2) the learning outcomes of the training participants to sew clothes are classified as good; 3) there is a significant relationship between the application of andragogical principles and learning outcomes in sewing training at the Vocational Training Center (BLK) in Padang. The suggestion of this research is that it is hoped that the instructor can deepen knowledge in teaching adults so that the results obtained are more optimal. This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in Nagari Koto Taratak, Sutera District, Pesisir Selatan, namely the low interest in learning from the community. This is evidenced by the large number of students who have dropped out of school, both formal and non-formal education. The cause of the low interest in learning in the community is thought to be due to parents who do not pay enough attention, then it has a negative impact on the development of their education. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the attention of parents, describe the interest in community learning and the significant relationship between parents' attention and community learning interest in Kenagarian Koto Taratak, Sutera District, Pesisir Selatan. This type of research is correlational quantitative. The population in this study were people who dropped out of school in Kenagarian Koto Taratak, Sutera District, Pesisir Selatan. The sampling technique in this study was cluster random sampling. The data collection technique is a questionnaire. The data collection tool is a list of statements. The data analysis technique used the percentage formula and rho spearman. The results of this study are low parental attention, low community interest in learning and there is a significant relationship between parental attention and community learning interest in Kenagarian Koto Taratak, Sutera District, Pesisir Selatan Regency. Suggestions in this study are expected that parents pay more attention to children's learning activities because high attention is needed by children in the learning process so that children's learning interests will grow well, it is hoped that parents can create good relationships with children to communicate children's learning activities at school. So that parents can continue to provide motivational encouragement, meet student learning needs, and find out about children's learning progress.Keywords: parental attention, interest in learning

The background of this research is the lack of motivation of the elderly to participate in the posyandu for the elderly in Jorong Baruah Gunuang 1. The lack of knowledge of the elderly is thought to be due to the lack of knowledge about the existence of the posyandu for the elderly in Jorong Baruah Gunuang1. This study aims to: 1) describe the knowledge of the elderly about the posyandu for the elderly 2) describe the motivation of the elderly to follow the posyandu for the elderly; 3) looking at the relationship between knowledge and motivation in the elderly to follow the posyandu for the elderly in Jorong Baruah Gunuang 1. This type of this research is correlational quantitative research. The population in this study was taken by the elderly in Jorong Baruah Gunuang 1, totaling 58 people, aged 60-70 years, who did not attend the elderly posyandu. The sample was taken as much as 52% with a total of 30 peoples, the technique of this research is using random sampling. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and tests, while the data collection tools were a list of statements and questions. The technique used to analyze the data in this study are the percentage formula and product moment. The results showed that: (1) The knowledge of the elderly in posyandu for the elderly is categorized as low, (2) the motivation of the elderly to follow the posyandu for the elderly is categorized as low, (3) there is a significant relationship between knowledge and motivation of the elderly to participate in posyandu for the elderly activities in Jorong Baruah Gunuang 1. The Suggestion of this study is the person in charge of the program and cadres should do more outreach to the community on the importance of posyandu for the elderly.Keywords: Knowledge, motivation, elderly

This research is motivated by the speed with which residents learn in sewing bed cover skills at PKBM Tenggang Raso Padang City, this is presumably due to the use of appropriate methods by tutors. This study aims to: determine the use of the drill method in the process of sewing bed cover skills, knowing the speed of learning citizens in the sewing skills process of bed cover, knowing the relationship between the drill method and the speed at which residents learn in sewing bed cover skills. The population in this study were residents learning the skills to sew bed covers at PKBM Tenggang Raso. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling which was taken half of the population. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, while the data collection tool used a questionnaire sheet in the form of a list of statements. The data analysis technique uses the Percentage formula and the Spearman Rho formula. The results of this study indicate that: the use of the drill method in PKBM Tenggang Raso Padang City is able to accelerate the speed of learning residents in sewing bed covers, the speed of learning residents in sewing bed cover sewing skills is categorized as fast, and there is a significant relationship between the drill method and the speed at which residents learn to sew. bed cover at PKBM Tenggang Raso Padang City.Keywords: The Drill Method, The Speed of the Learning Community, Sewing the Bed Cover

This research background by the low willingness of adolescent learning at Jorong Galagah, subdistrict Lembah Gumanti, of Solok district. This is condition think because still low guidance from parents. So this research aims to describe parent guidance, describe the willingness of adolescents to learn, and then look correlation between parent guidance with the willingness of adolescents learning. This research is quantitative with correlation type. The sampling technique used in this research is stratified random sampling. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire and using product moment formula to look correlation between parent guidance with the willingness of adolescents learning. The result of research point out that: (1 ) parental guidance on adolescents at Jorong Galagah, subdistrict Lembah Gumanti, of Solok district is still very low. (2) the willingness of adolescent learning at Jorong Galagah, subdistrict Lembah Gumanti, of Solok district classified in the low category. (3) there is a significant correlation between parent guidance with the willingness of adolescents learning at Jorong Galagah, subdistrict Lembah Gumanti, of Solok district. Suggested to parents to further improve their guidance to adolescents in learning, furthermore, adolescents are expected to increase their willingness to learn.Keywords: Parental Guidance, Willingness to Learn
