Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems that researchers found in a field that in class III C SLB Sabiluna Pariaman. The researchers looked at in the process of Indonesian learning the teacher to experience difficulty in presenting matter to students mental retardation because student situation that different in one class. Based on these then the problems that are examined in research is: (1) How is the implementation of the Indonesian learning for students mental retardation in SLB Sabiluna Pariaman? (2) What are the obstacles encountered, (3) How do teacher for overcome the obstacles. The method used is the qualitative descriptive. The research subject is teacher class and mental retardation class III.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was derived from the problem faced by the students in the third grade of SDN 17 Jawa Gadut Padang in which they got problems to multiply numbers from 5 to 9. This was caused by the students who tended to memorize the numbers. The purpose of this research was to overcome the problem found in this research and to improve the students’ ability to multiply numbers from 5 to 9, and the students were expected to be able to memorize multiplication from 5 to 9. This was a quasi experimental research which used Pretest Posttest Design. Using this design, experiment was only done to a group without presenting the control group. The subject of the research was four students in the third grade of SDN 17 Jawa Gadut Padang. The data obtained was analyzed by using U Mann-Whitney test. The research hypothesis would be accepted if the value of Ucalculated > Utable on the significance level 95% or α = 0,05. The result of data analysis indicated that Ucalculated (0,5) was bigger than Utable (0) indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. Thus, the result of the research showed that applying various lecturing method through question and answer, assigning task, giving exercise and demonstrating the task by using multiple set was effective to improve the students with learning disabilities ability to multiply number from 5 to 9. Abstract

The research was motivated by the problems of student with autism in the class IV SLB YPPA Padang, which he likes English lessons but when given the test about translated from English to Indonesia vocabulary form, which vocabulary he had learned, only a few he are able to know. This shows that child had problem to remembering English vocabulary he was taught. Therefore, the researchers chose the method totally physical response (TPR) that promotes physical activity in their implementation supported by the theory of John Dewey who said that if the students were asked to do something and report it, they will remember 90%. The purpose of this study was to see the impact of the use of totally physical response (TPR) on the development of English vocabulary skills of children and also to assist the child in overcoming the problem. This type of research is experimental research that single subject research (SSR) with A-B research design is to see the development of the child before the given treatment (baseline) in this study performed a total of 6 times after the meeting and were given treatment (intervention) performed 10 sessions. With target observed behavior is showing, speaking, writing, and translating the English vocabulary. The results of the analysis of the data showed that during the study period of 16 days appears the ability of vocabulary development in children from the baseline that only stabilize at 5 vocabulary and steady climb to 30 vocabulary that can be shown, described, written and interpreted in the intervention condition. It is proved giving totally physical methods have a positive response to the development of English vocabulary for children with autism in the class IV SLB YPPA Padang. From these results it can be concluded that administration totally physical response methods succeed improve English vocabulary skills for children with autisme.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research discussed  about the social relation.  This researc h was intended to describe the process of social relation in the preparation class covering sveral indicators such as the process, obstracles, and the efforts done. This research was conducted at PSBN Tuah Sakato Padang. This research applied descriptive qualitative approach   focusing on the process of social relation for the clients with visual impairment. The subject of the research was the head of the institution, the teachers  handling  skill classes,  the subject teachers,  the Guidance and  and  Counseling teachers, the psychology teachers, and the clients in the preparation class. The data were collected through observation, interview and documentation study. The results of the research showed that  the social relation in the preparation class existed  in  all  of subject,  while  the  implementation  was  more  significant  in  mobility orientation subject. The guidance was given only 3 hours in a single meeting a week. The evaluation was done once in three months or four times in a year. The learning materials were taught repeatedly so that the clients had deep  understanding on them. The clients living in the house were those who neither went to regular nor to special school previously, and  they  had  low intelligence.  In the future,  it was expected  to  the  intructors  and the institution fellows to provide more times to the clients to get intensely guidance in mobility orientation subject whose materials required the students to do a lot of practice.

Abstract

Abstrak : latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kesulitan seorang anak  membaca kata di SDN 18 Koto Luar Padang. Media flash card adalah sebuah permainan mengenal huruf dan kata-kata.gambar-gambar flash card yang menarik dengan warna-warni yang menyolok akan disukai anak-anak,sehingga guru dan orang tua bisa mengajak mereka gembira,bermain dan belajar dalam cara yang sederhana. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuktikan media Flash Card dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kata. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Single Subject Research dengan desain A-B.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media Flash Card efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kata anak di SDN 18 Koto Luar Padang. Abstract

This research of background by the problems which is researcher find in SDLBN 20 Pariaman cities, a child of intelegance below X can not write properly starters, child change characters (substitution) in writing. Based on this research the mentioned aim to overcome replacement of characters (substitution) and see method effectiveness of VAKT in overcoming the problems. This research uses the methods of experimental research Single Subject Research (SSR) with the A-B design. This subject research child of intelegance below X class IV. Assessment in this research consistence and measure the number correct answers written by children in the beginning of writing start (specially writing characters which is child substitution, writing a word consisting of two and three syllables) given by treatment and presenting in the form of number. Result of this research indicate that, ability of child of intelegance below X in writing start beginning of writing after given by treatment and are no longger replacing characters (substitution). In the baseline condition (A) made six observations of the child can only write correctly five instruments, namely characters lt, rt, bp, bapak, and larutan. In the intervention condition (B) ) which is ten times treatment with perception of ability of child progressively beginning of writing that is can write truly all instrument which is researcher give. Finally child can write start as according with the correct symbol and font replacement (substitution) experienced by children can be overcome. Proven thereby formula of is problem of which is told to be answered that method of VAKT effective in overcoming replacement of characters (substitution) at child of intelegance below of class IV in SDLBN 20 Pariaman cities. Relate to result of research in overcoming substitution write start of child of intelegance below X beginning of writing, the researcher suggested to teachers to use method of VAKT for future learning.

Abstract

The articles to load about a child have difficulty reading sequential hijaiyah letters and makhraj. The purpose of this research was aimed to improve the ability of mild autism student on reading about sequential Hijaiyah through Al-Barqy method. This type of research is experiment in the from of single subject research (SSR) by design A-B-A. The subject is a mild autism student. Data collection techniques are test, measure with percentage and data collection instrument in the from questions taken from sequential hijaiyah letters. The result of data analysis in condition and inter condition showed a positive improvement on read sequential hijaiyah letters. The research result then it is proven that al-barqy method can improve the ability to read sequential hijaiyah letters for a mild autism student. Suggestion for classroom teachers can use al-barqy method in practice and improve the ability to read sequential hijaiyah letters for a mild autism student.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the problem found in the field indicating that a student with light mental retardation X got problem to wash his clothes. The purpouse of this  research was to increase the student’s ability to wash clothes though task analysis in class IV C1 of SLB Fanredha Padang. This was a Single Subject Research which used  A-B design. A condition (baseline condition) was the  initial contion showing  the student’s ability to wash  clothes before the treatment given. B condition ( intervention condition) was the  condition through which the task analysis was applied. The result of the research indicated that the ability of the studen with light mental reterdation to wash clothes increased after the  task analysis given. In the  baseline condition, six observasions were  conducted. In this  condition the highest score was 35%. In the intervention condition that consited of ten  observations, the  highest score of the student was 90%. Thus, it was revealed that  task analysis could  increase the ability of the student  with light mental  retardation X to wash clothes in class IV/C1 of SLB Fanredha Padang. The researcher suggested to  the teachers to use  task analysis to help the students to wash their own clothes. Kata kunci: analysis tasks; Washing Clothes.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the problems that were discovered in West Sumatra, SLB YPAC tunagrahita was the eighth grade children misbehaving motion eye and hand coordination. From the results of the identification and esesment of researchers did on children, children experiencing obstacles in his life. In the process of pembalajaran teachers less paying attention, because students who exceed the capacity of the class and time limitations. Based on this research aims to improve the coordination of eye and hand motion tunagrahita child being through bowling game.This research uses experimental approach in the form of single subject research (SSR) with A-B design. The subject of this research was the son of tunagrahita was. Behaviornya Target motion coordination is the ability of the eye and hand in playing bowling. Starting from seeing the condition as much as five times the baseline observations and continued with the intervention by as much as eight times.The results of this research show that, of children in play bowling ability increases. Baseline conditions of five times the child observation is just doing one item only. On the conditions childrens intervention can do kagiatan up to 4 items. Thus the hypothesis has been proposed before, meaning that the game received a bowling motion coordination capabilities can enhance the eyes and hands of children are tunagrahita. From this research are expected to be useful for teachers, parents, and further research and guidelines for improving coordination be motion eye and hand over the bowling game.

Abstract

This reseacrhwas conducted at SDN 05 Kapalo Koto Pauh Padang. Based on the result of the previous observation, it was identifiled that a student with learning dificulties named X got problem in Mathematic learning. The student had not yet been able to recognize the concept of hundreds in which she could not mention the numbers correctly, could not write the numbers correctly and was not able to arrange them from the small one to the large one, and vise versa. To minimize the problem, audio visual media were applied. This was an experimental research which applied Single Subject Research (SSR) and A-B-A design.The result of the research indicated that after the intervention given, the ability of the student to recognize the concept of hundreds improved. The influence of audio visual media on the improvement of the student’s ability could be seen from the percentage of the data overlapped between the beseline 1 phase and the intervention phase (0%) and that between the intervention phase anf the baseline 2 phase (28,57%). The small percentage indicated that intervention  exerted an influence upon the improvement of the student’s ability in recognizing the concept of hundreds. Therefore, audio visual media could be iused as a reference to cope with mathematic problem especially those related to the concept of hundreds. Thus, the use of audio visual media were affective to improve the ability of the student with learning difficulties to recognize the concept of hundreds in grade III of SDN 05 Kapalo Koto Pauh Padang. Keyword: audio visual media; concept of hundreds;learning difficulties
