Abstract

Breakfast is an important habit that should be done every day to meet the body's energy needs, especially in supporting daily activities optimally. This community service activity aims to increase students' knowledge about the importance of breakfast. This service method uses a pre-post test one group design through coordination, mentoring (identification, prioritization and preparation of improvement efforts), counseling, and evaluation with participants consisting of 30 grade 5 students. After the counseling, students' understanding of the importance of breakfast increased significantly by 98.9%. However, this still requires a more comprehensive approach in practice. Therefore, by involving all stakeholders and using a systematic and measurable approach, this activity recommends the implementation of a sustainable program to raise awareness and encourage effective garbage breakfasts in schools.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan fase penting dalam kehidupan manusia yang ditandai dengan perubahan fisik, emosional, dan sosial yang cepat. Pada masa ini, perkembangan kebiasaan dan gaya hidup berdampak jangka panjang terhadap kesehatan seseorang. Namun, banyak remaja yang belum sepenuhnya menyadari pentingnya menjaga pola hidup sehat, seperti tidur yang cukup, mengonsumsi makanan sehat, dan melakukan aktivitas fisik secara teratur. Kurangnya pemahaman tersebut dapat mengakibatkan timbulnya masalah kesehatan, baik fisik maupun mental. Analisis data menggunakan uji t berpasangan pada hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dari rata-rata skor pre-test sebesar 82,3 menjadi 96,4 pada post-test. Pengabdian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 Mei 2025 di SMA Swasta Generus Bangsa Deli Serdang dengan melibatkan 22 siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah dengan PPT dan games. Hasil yang diperoleh adanya peningkatan pemahaman tentang pola hidup sehat pada remaja, yang menunjukkan bahwa edukasi yang diberikan dapat dipahami dan dimengerti oleh siswa sehingga diharapkan setelah edukasi terwujud dalam perubahan perilaku.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has led to significant changes in marketing, including in the used car sales sector. This journal aims to explore digital marketing strategies through Facebook Marketplace by the Jati Subur Mobil showroom. Based on the findings, Facebook Marketplace has proven effective in expanding marketing reach and increasing the chances of products being seen by potential buyers. However, there are also several challenges encountered, such as numerous responses from non-serious users and high competition among businesses. By implementing strategies such as using attractive images, informative advertisement titles, quick responses, and complete descriptions, the showroom has succeeded in enhancing its sales potential.

Abstract

Kita Madu business in Binjai is a business that sells pure honey. This activity process aims to help Kita Madu's business in increasing honey sales. Honey sales are carried out not only by selling directly, but also using online sales, namely social media. By utilizing existing social media, you can promote and see consumer enthusiasm for the products being sold. In promoting products, business owners can create their own advertisements by making videos about how to consume honey and providing articles about the benefits of honey for the body. Sales using social media can assess customer satisfaction with testimonials sent by consumers. Based on the results of observations in a month using social media, sales of Kita Madu have increased, because we also have a large number of followers on social media, making it easier to promote Kita Madu.

Abstract

Simple financial statements are used to make it easier for MSME actors to manage their businesses. This is a strategy used as an effort to realize neat business management by implementing a financial recording system. Financial information has such an important influence in order to achieve business success, even for small and medium entrepreneurs. Many business actors do not have literacy about financial management and there are also many business actors who do not fully understand the importance of managing capital and income properly. Especially what happened in Banyuresmi Village, Sukahening District. Many MSME actors still do not know how to make a simple financial recording system to maximize profits in their business. The purpose of this study is to introduce the use of financial management to MSMEs so that they can support the progress of MSMEs, especially in terms of finance. At the same time, it is an effort to educate the community of MSME actors in Banyuresmi Village. The method of implementing this KKM activity is by holding training directly by inviting 25 MSME actors in Banyuresmi Village. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method using a descriptive approach by utilizing secondary data from various literature, such as journals/articles and pages.

Abstract

The increasingly rapid development of the times demands changes in the world of education, including in terms of implementing learning strategies. In Banyuresmi Village, there are still many teachers who have not fully mastered 21st century learning strategies. This is the background for carrying out this community service. The aim of this service is to increase teacher competence in implementing 21st century learning strategies so that they can improve the quality of student learning. The method used in this service is through teacher education workshops which include material on 21st century learning concepts, various kinds of learning strategies that can be applied, as well as direct practice in designing learning activities. The workshop participants were all teachers in Banyuresmi Village. The results of this service show a significant increase in teacher competence in implementing 21st century learning strategies. This can be seen from the increase in teachers' understanding of 21st century learning concepts and their ability to design innovative learning activities. Apart from that, based on the evaluation results, teachers also responded positively to the implementation of the workshop and showed high interest in implementing new strategies in classroom learning. It is hoped that this workshop can be the first step in efforts to improve the quality of education in Banyuresmi Village.

Abstract

This research aims to utilize plant waste as raw material for making liquid organic fertilizer (POC) to reduce the cost of palm oil production in Pagar Merbau District. The methods used include collecting vegetable and fruit waste, fermentation process with EM4 bioactivator, and POC packaging. The research results show that the use of plant waste can reduce the cost of palm oil production due to the high use of chemical fertilizers so that farmers find it difficult to fertilize due to high prices. Utilizing plant waste as a source of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) can provide benefits to oil palm farmers and can also support more sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

Abstract

Citra positif lembaga pendidikan merupakan faktor strategis dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat dan daya saing institusi di tengah persaingan global. Artikel ini merupakan bentuk kontribusi pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi konseptual terhadap pengelolaan citra lembaga pendidikan melalui peran humas. Kajian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dengan menganalisis berbagai literatur, jurnal, dan studi kasus yang relevan. Fokus utama pembahasan adalah strategi komunikasi yang dapat diterapkan oleh humas dalam membangun dan mempertahankan citra positif institusi pendidikan di era digital. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi dua arah, pemanfaatan media sosial, serta perencanaan strategis menjadi kunci keberhasilan humas. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan panduan teoritis dan praktis bagi para pelaku pendidikan, khususnya dalam konteks penguatan fungsi humas sebagai bagian integral dari manajemen kelembagaan.

Abstract

Banana chips are a local food product with high economic potential for rural communities. This program aims to improve product quality, develop flavor innovation, and expand marketing strategies for MSMEs producing banana chips in Lantasan Baru Village, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency. The method used was a participatory approach involving technical training, new flavor development, and digital marketing outreach. The results showed significant improvements in three main aspects: enhanced product quality through better raw materials and processing techniques; diversification into chocolate, matcha, and tiramisu flavors; and expanded market reach via social media and e-commerce platforms. The program also increased the partners’ knowledge and skills, particularly Sumini,, in managing village-based enterprises. In conclusion, this activity successfully empowered rural MSMEs through sustainable improvements in product quality and marketing.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling is part of education for a teacher to be able shape the character of students so they can have a personality that can overcome problems in their learning process individually. Nowadays, not only teachers who have a guidance and counseling major are allowed to carry out process of eliminating student problems, but subject teachers and homeroom teachers are required to be able carry out the general guidance process in the classroom, therefore it is important for a teacher to be able understand guidance and counseling in general as a form of providing motivation or alleviating problems for students when they experience difficulties while studying either in class, school or at home. The Madrasah where community service is carried out is one of places where it is necessary provide assistance regarding guidance and counseling for teachers as education to overcome problems for students in their learning process. The methods used start from process of managing permits, socialization, preparation and implementation/activities, presentation results and final evaluation. The results of community service carried out at this Madrasah showed an increase in understanding of guidance and counseling for teachers starting from pretest before material was given to after material was given.
