Abstract

Language contact and language conflict are sociolinguistic studies that are important to be studied further. Each community has different language characteristics, such as language contact and language conflict among minority teenagers in Denanyar village. The purpose of this study is to describe language contact and conflict in adolescents who continue their education in Denanyar village using qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques were taken based on the results of observations, observations, and interviews. Sources of data were taken from three teenagers belonging to the minority from a group of teenagers who came from the village of Denanyar. The results of this study confirm the existence of language contact and language conflict in Denanyar village through the phenomenon of language contact and language conflict in the dormitory environment for students from Java (Denanyar village) with students from Batam, the phenomenon of language contact and language conflict in the school environment for students from Java (Denanyar village) with students from Madura, and the phenomenon of language contact and language conflict in the school environment for students from Java (Denanyar village) with students from Solo.Keywords: language, contact, conflict. Abstract

Poetry is a depiction of meaning through a process of contemplation and imaginative experience then arranged in the form of words so that the reader can feel the meaning conveyed by the poet through writing. The study of poetry through the realm of semiotics is more interesting because this study discusses how to study a poem by enjoying the markers that are built into a work with the beauty of language. This study was also structured with the aim of enriching the reader's knowledge by dissecting the semiotics contained in the poems "Embrio", "Lelakiku", and "Spora" by Oka Rusmini. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This study uses the semiotic approach of Aart Van Zoest. The poem "Embrio" consists of ten sentences, the poem "Lelakiku" consists of sixteen sentences, and the poem "Spora" consists of twenty-five sentences. Sentences in these poems use more incomplete sentence patterns than complete sentence patterns. The three poems are dominated by connotative sentences and there are six figure of speech, namely metaphorical figure of speech, personification figure of speech, hyperbole figure of speech, euphemism figure of speech, tautological figure of speech, and allegorical figure of speech spread over several sentences. Six isotopes were found, including movement isotopes, natural isotopes, human isotopes, hearing perception isotopes, visual perception isotopes and organ isotopes. I think the lyrics in these three poems are dominated by the point of view of women who feel pain, fatigue, and anxiety from a child. Keywords: Poetry, Semiotics, Oka Rusmini.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the use of everyday language used in Class C Education or PC. Based on the data sources, what will be studied are Indonesian Language and Literature Education students for the 2020 class PC class at UNESA who come from several regions, with the language used as reference material. In this paper, it is found that PC students have different languages in each area where they live. This condition will bring up one type of language used to communicate. The author uses a qualitative method by using survey data collection. The results obtained by the author are that PC class students use Javanese to communicate in their daily life. Abstract

This study discusses the preparation of pluricultural-based presentation teaching materials for BIPA students. BIPA students need to master the culture in Indonesia. The Indonesian culture needs to be linked to the culture in the student's home country so that students can adapt to Indonesian culture, especially Indonesian culture which is contrary to the culture in the student's country of origin. The purpose of this research is to compile pluricultural-based presentation teaching materials for BIPA level 4 students. With the ADDIE model development method, the results of this study indicate that pluricultural-based presentation teaching materials for BIPA level 4 students are prepared by taking into account their suitability with SKL and the shortcomings of BIPA learning at State Universities. Surabaya. Pluricultural-based presentation teaching materials for BIPA level 4 students are prepared through a structured process, namely needs analysis, drafts of teaching materials are designed, and teaching materials are prepared. The limitation of this research is that this research was carried out until the stage of developing teaching materials, not yet at the stage of testing teaching materials and evaluating them. Abstract

This research aims to find out the meaning of Mikul Duwur Mendem Jero in the life of the novel Hati Suhita by Khilma Anis, help readers understand the meaning of Mikul Duwur Mendem Jero more deeply, and add broader insight. This meaning is found in the life of the main female character, Alina Suhita. Mikul Duwur Mendem Jero has the meaning of upholding the dignity, dignity, and honor of a woman in covering up the situation at hand. The principle of Mikul Duwur Mendem Jero is a message mandated by his grandfather that must be kept obedient, just like the Javanese women of ancient times. In this study the authors found some data that showed about the meaning of Mikul Duwur Mendem Jero. The female lead character who uses the principle of Mikul Duwur Mendem Jero describes that women have an honor that should be valued as the status of a wife. In the perspective, women have the idea that women are considered inferior to men. The position of a woman now has gender equality that balances the status of a man and a woman. However, a woman must also remember the obligations of a wife. The method used by the author is a qualitative research method, which is poured through a qualitative approach with descriptive results. The process carried out 1) Making observations, 2) Recording the results of observations, 3) Stringing with a structured arrangement, 4) Making conclusions. Abstract

The emergence of language contact and conflict cannot be separated from the role of the language community. Language diversity also applies in Indonesia. This is relevant to the geographical location of Indonesia which consists of various islands, so that each community has different language characteristics. An example is the contact and language conflict of Ethnic Minorities, especially ethnic Chinese from Chinatown village in Sukomoro Village, Sukomoro District, Nganjuk Regency. This study aims to describe the phenomenon that occurs when ethnic Chinese and ethnic Javanese interact as well as the implementation of a sociolinguistic study that focuses on language contact and conflict. This type of research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach because it describes all phenomena in written form when the two ethnicities interact. Data collection techniques using observation or direct observation with interviews and recording activities. The data sources are the Javanese Ethnic Society and the Chinese Ethnic Minority of Sukomoro Village, relevant books, as well as references from journals. The results of this study indicate that (1) there is language contact between the Javanese and Chinese ethnic people, (2) language conflicts occur when the Javanese and ethnic Chinese interact because they still use their native language, (3) the pidgin language is a solution to overcome the problem. conversations between different ethnic languages, (4) There is a phenomenon from pidgin language into creole language that affects language development in Chinese ethnic

Abstract

In a literary work, of course, it has a good value in the form of writing that is delivered in a communicative and distinctive style about the author's intent for aesthetic purposes. So, many people say that literature is a reflection of life. Therefore, literary works are created by writers to be enjoyed, understood, and utilized by the community in life. The researcher chose the novel of Catatan Cinta Istri because the novel has many elements of moral values. Therefore, this study was aimed at finding out the moral values ??contained in the novel of Catatan Cinta Istri. This research employed a qualitative descriptive study. This study used an objective literary approach, which means an approach that focuses on literary works as a whole. The subject was the novel of Catatan Cinta Istri by Sari Meutia. The study focused on moral values. The study revealed some results. The results showed that there were 60 moral values ??with the aspects of human relations with oneself, 44 moral values ??with the aspects of human relations with other humans in the social or natural environment. And 45 moral values ??with the aspects of human relations with God. The most moral values ??found in the novel of Catatan Cinta Istri by Sari Meutia were in the aspects of human relations with oneself. Keywords: Analysis, Moral Values, Novel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konflik batin tokoh yang meliputi: mendekat-menjauh (approach-avoidance conflict), dan konflik menjauh-menjauh dalam novel Seteduh Taman Surga karya Puspa Markhip. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra (Kurt Luwin)). Hasil dari penelitian menunukkan bahwa, bentuk konflik mendekat-menjauh (approach-avoidance conflict) ditandai dengan sikap Einsteina yang berkelahi untuk menolong orang yang disayangnya serta sahabatnya yang tengah mendapat suatu permasalahan, namun ia tidak bisa mengabaikan rasa sakit dari orang-orang yang disayangnya saat berada didalam suatu permasalahan. Bentuk konflik menjauh-menjauh (avoidanceavoidance conflict) ditandai dengan tokoh Einsteina saat ia mencoba mempertahankan hidupnya dari tekanan batin yang telah ditinggalkan oleh ibu kandungnya selepas ia dilahirkan. Kata Kunci: Analisis, Deskriptif Kualitatif, dan Konflik Batin.

Abstract

Film is a popular visual media that can be watched by various ages according to category. The film presents an interesting story with many building elements. Building elements include many things, one of which is the character's personality typology. Personality typology classifies humans in several ways, namely extroverted and introverted personalities. The research entitled "Tipologi Kepribadian Tokoh Film Gezz and Ann Karya Nadhifa Allya Tsana" raises the typology or depiction of the characters in the film Geez and Ann which is based on the theory of Carl Gustav Jung. The method used is a qualitative method which includes theory that can provide clear views and descriptions. The data collection in this study was assessed using the note-taking method. The results of the study show that there are two personality traits, namely extrovert and introvert. This extrovert personality includes five points, namely: activity, sociability, risk taking, impulsiveness, expressiveness. Furthermore, introverted personality is divided into four points, namely: introverted thoughts, introverted feelings, introverted sensing, and introverted intuition. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to use a problem-based learning paradigm to help students at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Karanganyar who have difficulty with the subject matter to compose an explanatory text. Qualitative descriptive method was used for this research. Teachers and students of grade 11 SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Karanganyar were interviewed for this study. The data of this research include: teachers plan problem-based learning models in the form of lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum; a teacher applies a problem-based learning model according to the syntax; a teacher encountered a problem when using a problem-based learning model to ask students to write an explanatory text.
