Abstract

Archiving is one of the office jobs that is experiencing digital transformation. Digital archives make it easy for employees to complete their work however, it does not rule out that digital archives have weaknesses that can reduce employee performance. The purpose of this study was to analyze the digital filing system used by the X University Faculty of Medicine, find out whether the system used was effective or not, and find out the weaknesses of the digital archiving system. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The results of this study indicate that digital archives help employees complete work more quickly and make it easier for employees to carry out administrative activities in agencies. However, behind that it is necessary to repair, improve and upgrade the system so that problems do not occur and can be used more optimally.

Abstract

This research is related to the preference for reading printed books with digital books by UIN Jakarta Journalism Study Program students. The purpose of this research is to find out the reading preferences of UIN Jakarta students and find out the advantages and disadvantages of reading printed or physical books. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach method with a descriptive research type, this method uses frequency and percentage variables. This study concludes that UIN Jakarta Journalism Study Program students prefer to read physical books with various advantages of the physical book itself compared to reading digital books which still have shortcomings in quality and convenience for readers

Abstract

This study aims to find out how active dynamic archive management includes creation, arrangement, use, and storage activities, as well as knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors in active dynamic archive management activities at SMAN 1 Babakan, Kabupaten Cirebon. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out in three ways, namely field observations, direct interviews, and literature studies. The informants specified in this study were archivists at the Administration Office of SMAN 1 Babakan. The results of this study indicate that active dynamic archive management at SMAN 1 Babakan is carried out in several stages, (1) creation and acceptance; (2) checking and filing; (3) storage; (4) maintenance and security; (5) use; (6) transfer and destruction of archives. Records management is carried out on a mixed principle (centralized and decentralized) where some archives are managed by the respective work units and some are managed at the central archives. The management of dynamic archives receives support from the school in the form of providing adequate archive management support facilities. Then the obstacle that is felt is in the competence of Human Resources which is still minimal because it is still very new, so that archive management is not fully in accordance with existing standards.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to utilize the Edoo digital library application at SMAN 15 Bandung as a form of service innovation in the library. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation with observations and interviews accompanied by literature study. Results from this study shows that the Edoo digital library application useful in assisting learning activities, the advantages and disadvantages of the Edoo digital library application are a challenge for the SMAN 15 Bandung library

Abstract

Digitizing archives or converting archival media from conventional to digital is one way to optimize archive management in an institution so that archives can be archived more efficiently and easily accessed. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the optimization of the digitization of archives in the Central Library of Padjadjaran University. The method  used  is  descriptive qualitative. Techniques in  data  collection, researchers carried out three series of stages, namely interviews, observation and literature study. The results of this study show that the digital archives at the Padjadjaran University Central Library are compiled in a system called e-Office and centralized with the Padjadjaran University Record Center. With this digital archive, archivists and users can easily access it simultaneously and make it easier to retrieve information. Digital archive management goes well through four stages, namely creation, use, maintenance, and depreciation. However, there are still obstacles that are experienced, including the low awareness of some higher education institutions in collecting files for digital archives, a lack of human resources with special expertise in the field of archiving, and a lack of human resources with expertise in technology. It can be concluded, the digitization of archives and their overall management at the Padjadjaran University Central Library is considered optimal.

Abstract

Library management is an activity that regulates, directs, guides, controls, influences librarians to carry out their duties. The objectives and benefits of library management are so that library management activities can be effective, efficient and productive in achieving the expected goals. Therefore, the author aims to explore the privileges or uniqueness of what management exists in the UPI Library. The author uses qualitative methods based on literature studies and also conducts virtual observations by browsing the UPI Library website and Instagram social media.

Abstract

The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in archive management, also known as "Archive Automation". In automation-based archive management, every agency requires an archivist who has special knowledge and expertise in archive management and an understanding of information technology. Librarians and archivists' expertise in information technology has a central role in managing digital collections. The purpose of this research is to see how a professional archivist handles archival automation. The object of this research is the role of archivists in the Aceh Library and Archives Service. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This method aims to explain the role of archivists in managing archive automation at the Aceh Library and Archives Service. Data collection was carried out by looking at websites and reading literature from a number of journal articles. Based on the results from the website https://arpus.acehprov.go.id/, the existence of this institution as a digital library plays a major role in providing access to information, optimizing the use of technology, and increasing people's interest in reading in accordance with the responsibilities and roles they carry out.

Abstract

User satisfaction can be achieved if the library provides good quality service. Therefore, libraries must focus on user satisfaction. To be able to find out the services that users want, need and expect, it is necessary to conduct research on users. This is done so that there is no difference in perception regarding what the library provides to users and what users actually want and need. Based on the problems above, the research aims to analyze the quality of services provided by the Padang State University FEB Library using the ServQual method. In the ServQual model, the user's perception of the service received (perceived service) is the result of a series of internal company decisions and activities. The quality of service provided by Padang State University FEB Library still cannot satisfy customers. This can be seen from the negative gap value of the ServQual score. Of the 23 service attributes, there are 13 attributes that have a negative value that cannot be accepted by users and 10 attributes that can still be tolerated by users.

Abstract

Hoax atau berita palsu menjadi hal yang tidak bisa dihindarkan karena kemudahan dalam menyebarkan informasi melalui berbagai platform online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh literasi media terhadap kemampuan remaja yang aktif menggunakan platform TikTok dalam mengatasi penyebaran hoax di era digital. Selain itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana literasi media dapat mempengaruhi perilaku remaja dalam mengatasi hoax yang beredar di TikTok. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu dengan melakukan prosedur yang diterapkan melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui proses pengisian kuesioner oleh responden. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa edukasi literasi media perlu ditingkatkan untuk mencegah dampak negatif dari penyebaran informasi palsu dan hoax di masyarakat. Dengan demikian, pendidikan literasi media harus menjadi prioritas dalam kurikulum pendidikan dan juga dalam program-program peningkatan kapasitas bagi remaja, untuk memastikan mereka memiliki alat yang diperlukan untuk berpartisipasi secara aman dan bijak dalam lingkungan digital.

Abstract

Perpustakaan menjadi tempat terhimpunnya ilmu pengetahuan baik tercetak maupun elektronik. Perkembangan zaman membawa perubahan bagi perpustakaan ke arah digital dalam memberikan layanan kepada masyarakat informasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan yang dilakukan perpustakaan dalam memberikan layanan informasi kepada masyarakat informasi di tengah-tengah keberlimpahan informasi dan kemajuan teknologi informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan dengan cara membaca, menulis, dan menganalisis data yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan bagi masyarakat informasi perpustakaan dapat bertransformasi ke digital dan mengintegrasikannya dengan internet seperti, Repository, E-Journal, E-Book, Artificial Intelligence, dan Web Perpustakaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa perpustakaan dapat memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk mempertahankan eksistensinya dengan memaksimalkan internet yang saat ini banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat informasi.
