Abstract

Archives are an important source of information that must be well-managed to enable quick retrieval when needed. Archive management can positively impact an organization's reputation and hinder the achievement of its goals. With technological developments, archives are not only stored physically but also in digital form. This study aims to analyze the digital archive management practices of the Organization Division of the Regional Secretariat of Tuban Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The research findings show that the main purpose of digital archive management in the Organization Division of the Regional Secretariat of Tuban Regency is to facilitate and accelerate the retrieval of archives when needed. However, digital archive management faces several obstacles, mainly the need for more education and training for employees in managing archives. To overcome these obstacles, the agency has made efforts to provide mentoring programs for employees to manage archives properly and correctly

Abstract

The Staffing and Human Resources Development Agency of Surakarta City is one of the institutions responsible for managing and developing staffing and staffing information systems. One of the activities of BKPSDM is administrative management. BKPSDM has implemented the archive life cycle as well as possible in its management. This research uses data processing and information collected from interviews and literature studies without measuring instruments or using numbers. The subject of this research is an archivist informant who can explain the current conditions and information about the object of research. Interviews conducted by the author and the archivist of BKPSDM Surakarta City provide results that archive management at BKPSDM Surakarta City is structured in terms of archive life cycle flow but still not optimal in archive management. There were shortcomings in the management aspect of several archive lifelines. Especially in the maintenance and destruction flow. The workforce at BKPSDM Surakarta City does not yet have the awareness to manage archives in an organized and structured manner. In addition, the archive manager in each field has main tasks and functions that do not focus on archives alone, so the archive management of each field has not run optimally. From these problems, the management of dynamic archives in BKPSDM is still not running optimally because human resources, who are archive managers for each field, still do not have the awareness to manage archives properly.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the importance of digitizing archives in this digital era to maintain the efficiency and accessibility of archives. The research method used is research with a qualitative approach to literature studies, interviews and observations. Primary data was obtained by observing the Cimahi City Static Archives website and literature study, while secondary data was obtained from interviews conducted with Expert Archivists at the Cimahi City Archives Service. The results of this study indicate that digitizing archives is an important step in maintaining archives that have historical value, so that the information contained in these archives can be preserved for the future. This digitization of archives can overcome problems in archive management such as a lack of efficiency in archive management and lack of accessibility to obtain information from existing archives. The Cimahi City Archives Service has made efforts to digitize archives related to the main performance index of the Cimahi City Archives Service itself, namely to increase community literacy and adapt to technological developments. Improving community literacy is carried out by presenting publications that can be a source of information for the public regarding history in Cimahi City, thus history in Cimahi City continues to be passed on to future generations because it has been stored in a digital media.

Abstract

The progress of human life is influenced by the development of science and technology. The rapid development of information technology today in the current era of globalization cannot be avoided anymore its influence on the world of education. Archive management in universities is very important because from the archives created, all aspects of the activities that occur in the college are illustrated. However, archive management that aims to tidy up activity data actually raises problems or obstacles, one of which is the opportunity to lose lecturer data archives both related to education, research, community service and other supporting elements. The purpose of this research is to have an application program for online-based lecturers' academic archives. This study uses research and development methods. To meet this goal, a Quality Information System was created https://sim-arabupi.com which is a web-based information system that manages the internal data of the Arabic Language Education Department.

Abstract

Batagak pangulu is the process of appointing traditional leaders in Minangkabau. The lack of information about this culture will certainly have an impact on future generations. This research aims to find out the batagak pangulu documentation management model carried out at KAN Situjuah Gadang with the final result in the form of a thesis. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data sources were obtained from interviews with informants and document studies related to Batagak Pangulu. The results of the research show that the recording of this tradition is an effort made in maintaining intangible cultural heritage that can be used as a learning resource for future generations in Situjuah Gadang village.

Abstract

The delivery service at Telkom University's open library was developed and introduced generally since the Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in various limitations in the service and learning activities of the Telkom University academic community. This research aims to determine the motivation of librarians in providing delivery services and document delivery services at the Telkom University Open Library. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The results of the research show that the motivation for librarians to provide delivery services and document delivery services at Telkom University's Open Library is as a form of librarian worship, the desire to help users, a form of librarian responsibility, realizing excellent service, adequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as having a strong leadership role. provide direction and support to librarians.

Abstract

This research endeavors to examine the unique leadership styles exhibited by women in the realm of libraries. The research methodology employed in this study relied heavily on the analysis of theoretical studies found in research journals, books, and other scholarly papers. The findings of studies on gender issues, in general, indicate that there are minimal disparities in terms of organizational aspects. However, when gender is associated with leadership style, it becomes evident that women possess a specific style of leadership, not due to inherent gender differences, but rather as a result of job characteristics and demands. This, in turn, highlights the significant influence of job characteristics on the leadership styles adopted by women. In the context of women's leadership styles and their relationship with job characteristics, two distinct categories emerge: feminist-masculine leadership styles and transformational-transactional leadership styles.

Abstract

The role of professional librarians who apply good ethics in fulfilling their duties and profession is very important in managing to achieve excellent service. Professional librarians must maintain their professionalism in maintaining standards and quality of service quality for the benefit of the profession, professional organizations and service users. This article describes the actualization of librarian professional ethics towards excellent service quality with research using literature review methods. The results of the discussion show that to support ethical services, the application of the Librarian Code of Ethics is very important, where the code of ethics is a guideline for librarians in carrying out their duties optimally, optimally and professionally towards improving the quality of excellent service. The role of a professional librarian always has good ethics reflected in an attitude of responsibility, caring, responsiveness, courtesy and wisdom, as well as good communication skills.

Abstract

Collaboration within the library sector has become a vital initiative to address the limitations of public libraries in providing information, particularly regarding anti-corruption resources. To bridge this information gap, KPK RI initiated a partnership with the Bandung City Archives and Library Office. This study aims to explore the role of this collaboration in promoting community welfare through the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Learning Center (ACLC) Corner. A qualitative research methodology with descriptive analysis was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The research findings reveal that the inception of the ACLC Corner is geared towards promoting anti-corruption literacy and education by disseminating knowledge about the dangers of corrupt practices and preventive measures from an early age. The program aspires to equip the community with comprehensive insights into corruption and encourages active participation in its prevention, with a focus on reducing corruption cases, particularly in Bandung. Although the program is currently a collaborative effort between the two entities, it is expected to, in the short term, enhance public understanding of corruption and its ramifications within the community of Bandung

Abstract

This study aims to improve the initial reading skills of group B3 children through busy book media at ABA Karangkajen Kindergarten. This research is a classroom action research using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart cycle model which is carried out collaboratively. The research subjects were class B3 children aged 5-6 years, totaling 16 children in TK ABA Karangkajen. The object of this research is the ability to read the beginning. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study is to use qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that the use of busy book media can improve the beginning reading ability of B3 graders. The increase in initial reading ability was shown by the results in the pre-action stage of 50%, after being given the action in the first cycle it increased to 65.63%, which means an increase of 15.63% from the pre-cycle. After being given another action in the second cycle, it increased to 82.25%, which means an increase of 17.19%.
